Hellooooo!!

I'm writing to tell you all about a wonderful project that has been a long time in the making. Ron Cohen and I met in Austin, TX when he happened upon my "Tongue and Teeth" CD release show while he was vacationing in Austin. We immediately hit it off and booked a trip for Ron to come again from Santa Fe, New Mexico so we could collaborate on a project Ron had in mind. Our object was to write really simple, beautiful songs that everyone could relate to and relax with. The writing chemistry once we started was unstoppable! So, after about 8 months of finishing and producing a few songs over email (God bless today's current recording technology) I took a trip to Santa Fe for more writing. Again, the creativity flowed freely and we ended up with an EP's worth of songs we both love and feel a huge part of.

So, we decided that it was ready for all of you! I've put our favorites up in my music player and the rest you can buy on SnoCap and, very shortly, on itunes as well.

I can't wait to hear about your feedback on this new duo project. :)

I'm on the road a lot and have been super busy - busy bringing my music to you, that is!  It's been so great meeting all of my wonderful fans and making new friends.  You're all fabulous! : )

I wanted to let you know about a couple shows I'm playing on the east coast this week with the talented Brian Keane.

Tomorrow night (11/9) we'll be at  the Milkboy Acoustic Café in Bryn Mawr, PA.  If you're in the area, the show starts at 7:30.

And on Sunday, we're in NYC playing at The Living Room at 7 p.m.  This is a songwriter round with Brian Keane and Jay Erickson, so please come out and show us some love.

How are my dear fans doing? How are YOU doing? Having a fun summer I hope...I'm trying, even though if I go outside right now I'm afraid I'll get mistaken for food and get eaten because I'll get COOKED right away. It's not easy living in an oven. But it's nice in December and it's not so nice in Boston so why am I whining? I love the whole whine about the weather thing--as if it gives a crapola that I don't think it's good enough. I wish my feelings were as resiliant as the weather's...

Alas! I will cry and weep and haunt you in your dreams if you don't like my CD. Hah! As if I give a crapola if you like it. Now I WILL cry and weep if you don't BUY it. I'm only in this business for the money. ; ) But seriously, let me say something that is exempt from Opposite Day (it's opposite day). I'm very excited about my new CD and I truly hope that at some point each and every one of you will have the chance to hear it. If that means listening to the new tracks on myspace, awesome. If that means buying one track on itunes, lovely (although you'll have to wait a couple more weeks). If that means buying the whole CD on CDbaby.com, then great! If that means buying 10 each of my entire collection and 20 t-shirts plus cutting me a check for a new wardrobe, then you will be a true friend and a total genius. Please feel free to look online and find my new CD wherever you can. : ) If you'd like a T shirt please email me in response to this message and I'll get you squared away.

So...what else? My summer has been full of travelling. I'm playing bass with Carmen Rasmusen (formerly on American Idol, Season 2) on a regular basis and getting flown out to lots of different cities. I also went to the Carribean on a Cruise (thanks to the boyfriend's parents!) and to Colorado on a 4 day long back-packing trip. That one was very recent. I still have bruises from all of the falls (I have excellent footwork). I'd love to hear what you've been up to, so please feel free to write me just to say "hi" : )

...a wicked cool party, that is!

I can still use "wicked" that way, can't I? It's not horribly outdated, is it? I hope not.

You know, I just can't wait to see all your smiling, shiny faces! It's only a few days away, so I hope you don't mind this gentle little reminder. You don't mind, do you? Good.

I don't know about you, but I get really nervous when something like a CD release party peeks it's smiling face up over the horizon. Scary stuff. So - I'm going shopping! Can't have a CD release party without a new outfit (or four), am I right? And the stress relief just can't be beat.
