Im having to sell this beauty to finance a new scooter. Its on Ebay and other various online forums/sites.
I thought perhaps someone on here might be interested so heres my attempt at advertising it:

1964 Vespa VBB in a deep metallic red with high metal flake (peugeot colour). Imported from Italy and restored at Retrospective Scooters London in early 2007 its termed a Retro Special which upgrades the engine to a PX 150 engine (reg'd 125 for learners) non auto lube, provides a 10 inch wheel conversion. 12v electrics and an ignition key under the seat.
The bike is serviced regularly with a recent new plug, cables and spare tyre. I have covered over 8000 miles on the bike both in the city and longer runs (I.O.W, Brighton etc). MOT until April 2010 and Historic tax until the same time....

Accesory wise, it has a 60s style 3 in 1 rear carrier, 60s black bubble grips and also benefits from a recently recovered 60s original 60s Piaggio seat through Andy Nixon in Essex. I have also added a 60s star mudflap remade by metaplast. I have also recently added a fox tail which can be included in the sale of the scooter if you like...

This scooter is ridden daily in London throughout the year, so although it is in great condition generally, expect a couple of minor scratches on the sidepanels and small stone chips on the front legsheilds (I have tried to show all scratches in the photos). The chap responsible for painting the scooter has a litre of paint set aside for me. The front mudguard has some rust in it, however it will last the season and is not that noticeable. Again, I have tried to show this in the photographs. Also worth noting is the fact that the speedo has stopped working which im sure is just the speedo drive worn out and is a fiver to replace. Aside from these minor wear and tear marks, the scooter is in excellent condition.

So, price. Im advertising it for around 2k for it but will listen to sensible offers. I think the figure I have in mind is sensible and fair. Im available for viewing most evenings, weekends etc so please contact me if you're keen on looking.

Current mood:  amused
..since I last posted a blog online. There are many reasons for this. One of the most pertinent is that Im too busy to think of witty anecdotes to amuse others.  Having said that here I am writing some witty anecdotes to amuse and entertain others.

So 2008 or to be more precise since my last blog entry- Whats been happening? Well, I got a woman, shes good to me..ahem. I've had a few jobs in sales ranging from Dow Jones (the coldest place on earth) to Selling tailor made suits (yes, it did involve measuring inside legs). I finally realised my life was given to entertain, so i jacked them in and have been working as an Extra or 'Supporting Artiste' as we are known in the industry (aka 'them', 'that one', 'moving props', 'cattle', 'lizards', or my personal favourite, 'plebs') while (still) trying to get my head around this whole podcasting thing. To suppliment my income until I reach the heights of 'full time pleb', Im working in a museum. Somewhere full of arty types where I feel intellectually stimulated. Mostly from the fact that a majority of my work colleagues are socially inept pods.
Been travelling: you may have seen my pics from various adventures. Belgium, Venice, Rimini, Sheffield, Barcelona, Nice, New York, Birkmingham...the list goes on and reads as an International Jetsetters passport should. Soon to add Manchester, Paris, Glasgow...blergh. so many places, so little time darlings. Ive also seen some amazing bands/djs on my travels, including Brian Auger, Alton Ellis, Glasvegas and Paul Weller. Off to see Oasis this sunday too.
Bar Italia SC is still going strong. We meet every sunday at 6pm and go for rides. This year for the second time we ventured to the Isle of Wight Scooter Rally and we are always up for riding with other clubs to destinations of interest. If you're keen on keeping up to date with it all, then visit Bar Italia Scooter Club myspace page.
Ok im bored of being bored now so im off for an adventure in South East London town.

Its July and this is the first blog post since feb on the spaz. My personal blog elsewhere has been keeping you intruiged im sure so now its time for a little crossover.

Updates are as follows:
1. Quit my job. It was dead and causing me more financial and mental stress than it was worth. Luckily, i
2. Found a new job. I start on the 30th of July in a fresh industry, with new challenges and of course, more financial reward. Until then,
3. Bored shitless. Spending 4 weeks doing absolutely nothing so i can rediscover myself and be fit and ready for the new job when I start. Sort of a hibernation.
4. Still doing 'the scooter thing' as some of you refer to it.  Being part of a club is always great for meeting new people and gaining fresh perspectives on life.
5. Having a hand in promoting. ('oh no!' i hear you all say, 'not again!'). Part of the 'HitBack!' team. Were involved in the 60's kinda mod scene. No, there are no lace cravats or (too many) bad teeth (the sermon on the 'different facets of modernism' can be found elsewhere for those non scenesters). Lots of fun and im determined not to let the politics get involved.

Not much else to say really. I have a new mobile number, new hairstyle (its short) and will probably say yes and turn up if you ask me out for a drink sometime.

Now for my pearl of wisdom and this time I say: 'Never trust someone who doesnt shake your hand firmly'. Something an old friend once said....

Spring has sprung and things are coming together...well slower than i had hoped but still upbeat about life. which helps.
Just returned from NYC for work and im shattered. Pics will be up soon enough but wowie zowie what a trip. 34 of us all bonding and working like dogs at an optics convention for 3 days which is not easy and the build up of stress combined with lack of sleep and rubbish food (paid for by the boss so i shouldnt complain).
Made some new friends, rekindled old friendships and managed to get away with some interesting things too. Where else can you flag down a stretch limo to use as a taxi? Or eat in the worlds most renowned Kosher restaurant on the house? good times indeed. But as usual, as the jetlag wears off the sense of fulfilment is lost and all you want to do is turn right around and head back Not sure if id call it a working holiday though....
So im back and things need to be done. Pay the bills,  clean the scoot and organise more Scooter club stuff and start saving for a potential trip in July with  a certain someone

If you have been following my online escapades, you'll know that im a fairly patient chappy. If, however, you read my last installment, you will know im still feeling pretty down about life. Or was...
So its now my mission to keep positive, focus on my career and make sure i have fun whilst doing it DAMMIT! Im on a mission, and im wishin someone can cure my lonely condition..ahem! ok, no more young mc i promise. Seriously though, its high time i stand up and do what I want to do with my life.  So im starting to look for a job as well as begin a new demo cd. All i need is a copy of Wavelab and im set. Then I can kiss adios to the job im at and move upwards and onwards!  I believe the phrase is 'Itchy Feet'.
So watch this space that whats mine like as more will surely follow.
I can feel it in me bones.....
PS anyone wishing to donate me a copy of Wavlab 5.0, please message me asap. Ill sort you out with a brew as payment.

Bar Italia Scooter Club based in Soho meets every sunday at 6pm at Bar Italia coffee house on Frith Street. anyone with a geared scooter or a love of them is welcome. We usually head out for rides around town and to other scooter meets or gigs.
The club was founded by Al almost four years ago and the only proviso he has for joining the club is to tell a decent joke and be able to laugh at yourself and life. oh and be able to drink coffee like a fish. but check out the website for more details and perhaps see you there.

Back in Febuary I prostituted myself to a filming company who were making one of those 'lifestyle makeover' programmes for the BEEB. The angle was to turn me from 'scruffy scooterboy' into 'mod dandy'. what a lark. So with the aid of a camp brummy psychologist (who happened to be the most hilarious man ive ever met), the worlds most airheaded fashion stylist who needed me to brief her before shooting every scene, and some actual REAL modernists and scooterists(you know who you crazy cats!i really appreciate it) we embarked on an historic journey to attempt to inform the masses about the modernist movement, as well as making me a mod of today!

The series was turned down by the BBC, however the show itself was bought and did air late one night in July. Much to the surprise of all who contributed, including yours truly!!  Luckily two copies exist on tape, one of them belonging to me. So with the magic of VHS and alcohol, as well as Sweet But Deadlys Phil, The Pleasure Unit in Bethnal Green (thanks Nick also!) on the 17 of September is screeing the show in its entirity. Doors open at 7pm. come one come all!!!

ps if your on your steed your welcome to meet me at Bar Italia scooter club in Soho at 6 to ride out to the venue.

ciao
