Current mood:  blissful
Yep yep. I've been having writer's block. Can't think about stuff to write about.

Creative ruts suck.

I have found online a few samples of old 80s music I didn't think I'd find. A nice quartet of toon themes like Droids, Bionic Six, Voltron, and Tailspin. Also got my hands on the Reading Rainbow theme and the end theme to Buckaroo Bonzai. So say what you will, at least I have things to stimulate my mind whilst I try to engage it into regularly putting thoughts into words. I'd rather a fair member of teh opposite sex do it but these silly things will do for now.

Its been awhile since I've written anything.

Then again, I haven't had the urge. Things are kinda slow and I just felt there was nothing noteworthy to write about.

Actually that's not that true. I have read some good stuff like the latest volume of the Marvel Universe hardcovers (which features a bio on Santa Claus of all people.) I also saw some great movies on DVD.

Moer importantly, I've been spending time chatting with friends on MySpace. The fun part of that is finding a great person who shares many of your interests. Makes me glad I've made peace with my geekyness and now shout it out for all to hear.

Anywa, wish me lucvk tomorrow, I have auditions for more short films. Maybe this time I'll snag a drama where I'm not killed. (sorry for the Spoiler nuke.)

had to work today whilst dealing with a broken air conditioner. Also got to see an accident happen across from where i was working. the vehicles involved took some nasty damage but it looks like the people involved were ok, thank goodness.

In the meantime I've seen the finished versions of Weasel Words and Big Ups. If you're nice I'll post links. Or I'll talk to the directors and post the actual thing. But that's only if you're nice.

Finally, I'd like to toss a big Happy Birthday to the Monty Python group who celebrated their 40th anniversary yesterday. LONG LIVE THE PYTHONS!!!

Saw a rough cut yesterday of "Devil's Thread." Looks really good. Gotta give major kudos to my co-star Noelle who plays the female lead. The finished version should be ready to go in a couple of weeks. Also heard Weasel Words is set to go. Can't wait to see the completed product.

Had some fun at the gallery last night. I really enjoy hosting. Its hard work but the payoff includes great conversations with intelligent people. There have been a few nutcases who have shown up just drink the wine in large quantities due to teh fact we're not a bar so we don't charge, but those are fewer compared to those I enjoy chatting with.

Today's netflix choice was Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I've heard alot complaints about the film but I like it. Not as much as Raiders or Last Crusade but I still like it. Even with he nuking of the fridge.

Spent a huge chunk of my Sunday watching Columbian singer Juanes go with his heart and perform his concert for the Cuban people. Say what you will, but from everything I saw, the concert set out what it wanted to do which was bring the gift of music to the people. That's EXACTLY what happened.

On another note, being the TV whore that I am, I'm watching the Emmys. NPH is a GREAT host. My only complaint is that part of the evening has to be wasted handing out awards to reality TV. I hate reality TV. GET OFF THE #$%ING STAGE SO QWE CAN RETURN TO MY BELOVED SCRIPTED PROGRAMMING DAMMIT!!!!!

And on a final note, Saw Inglorious Bastards last night and LOVED EVERY FREAKING MINUTE OF IT! Qunetin Tarintino rocks. The guy who played Lt. Landa deserves a nomination. ARE LISTENING ACADEMY??!!! GIVE THIS MAN AT LEAST A NOMINATION. If you need his name, go look for it on IMDB or go to my friends list, look for Eli Roth, and ask him.

Haven't written in awhile.

Haven't felt like it.

Had my Bday last week.

Wasn't as cool as I would have liked to be. This was mainly due to the fact no one was in the mood to celebrate with me. Some were not in town. Others were too busy preparing to go out of town. SOME I won't rat out forgot I even had a BDay.

Wasn't a total loss though. I did many of you out there in MySpace land send me BDay greetings. A friend over at a GIJoe message board I post created a thread wishing me a Happy Bday. I even had an old friend I haven't seen in years call me up and wish me a Happy BDay.

Friday I took care of a gallery opening thanks to help from my friend Anne-Marie. I even got to learn some cool stuff about the art that's currently hanging.

Saturday I hung out with friends and celebrated my BDay in my usual tradition. We watched X-men cartoons, ate pita chips and spinuch dip, ate Hooters while getting rained on, and then ended the evening watching the movie Hell's Angels directed by Howard Hughes.

Yesterday I hung out with my good friend from high school and his wife as we spent time at Gameworks. Turns out I'm getting better at pool. Later I watched Green Lantern: First Flight, their gift to me and DC's latest animated film. Cool movie. Makes me wish my green lantern was real.

There are still some that have said they will do something to celebrate my BDay even though the 10th was last Thursday. One I know wants to make an effort. The other I think I will have to guilt trip. I hate doing that but then again They are also the one who forgot it happened to begin with. They are also someone who should not forget nor not make some sort of effort.

Lite happy fun time stuff first.

Just got back yesterday from my trip to Sebring. Had a great time hanging out with family. We ate at Outback Steakhouse where Bloomin Onions were consumed and I made fun of a lunchtime snafu that my little sister's BF made when he was younger. We laso sat poolside and took a nice family photo of all the kids with their aunt and uncle (plus aunt's BF.) I even had my geeky side stroked y the fact my Brother-in-law kept his 1985 Jetfire TF toy. (Hey Micheal Bay, THIS IS HOW JETFIRE SHOULD LOOK!!) Anyone interested should check out the photos I posted. Please leave comments.

on another note.

The White House posted the text of the speech Obama is planning on giving the nation's kids tomorrow. Now excuse me while I piss some people off.

Anyone who has a problem with Obama's speech either hasn't read it or IS A FLAMING MORON.

Ther is NOTHING in that speech that is "brainwashing" our nation's young. Nothing in that speech is trying to teach our children that Republicans are devils and that only by voting Democrat can they save their souls. Nothing in the speech is teling the kids that the death panels that are killing grandma are there to weed out the inferior. (By the way, I'm a believer in the idea that the idea that we will have death panels is moronic.)

What does the speech have? Simply this messge; Stay in school, listen to your teachers, study, do your homework, and do your best to graduate with a degree so you can contribute something postive to your life and the lives of others.

Now I ask you? is there anything bad about that? Is this a bad speech we should shieldf our children from? is this a good enough reason to have our children skip school? is this speech a good reason not to have the TVs tuned in to the White House?

I have a little homework assignment for anyone who reads this blog and wants to comment on my thoughts. Read the speech and/or watch it on TV. if you disagree with me and think this speech is a bad thing for our nation's kids to hear, give me PROOF. Some me EXACT quotes. Give me SPECIFICS. Show me you have a brain. I may not agree with you, but you will at least earn my respect.

Good news!

For Labor Day, I'm off to see my sisters and their kids. Can't wait. Haven't seen some of them in ages.

In the menawhile I've managed to finally make my new room look and feel like a room.

Just in time to go on a trip.

Now excuse me whilst I go pack. Are you going to miss me?

Finally moved into my new living arrangements.

Still trying to arrange said new living arrangemenst thanks a different size of room in which to work with.

However i do now have access to a computer that doesn't suck which I'm calling a good thing. Plus the neighborhood's nice and I find walks around said neighborhood to be quite relaxing.

I also saw the movie GIJoe: Rise of Cobra. Didn't hate it, but didn't love it either. Not a bad start, but it was pretty flawed. Honestly, the film did not need Marlon Wayans to act as the comic relief guy and I could have done without the power suits.

On a happier note, I do have a busy weekend, but it involves Friday night at the Gallery and then two days of shooting a short film. It will no doubt be tiring but no doubt a cool kind of tiring.

Wish me luck.

Current mood:  bored
(sigh)

Its bad enough that I have to move out of my apartment due to current financial yuckyness catching up to me. Its bad enough I'm surrounded by boxes which hold most of my stuff minus a few things I'm either leaving for the last minute or are not going to be packed but simply just piled into the back of the U-Haul.

Its bad enough all that is happening. But fate is not done messing with me. Nope. It has to keep going and make it so that TWICE the move has been delayed. Tuesday was supposed to be Moving Day. Today was supposed to be Moving Day. BUT NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO! Instead, I get hit with delays.

So now I'm stuck in my place with no TV and most of my books buried in boxes. i already went through my meloncholy walk through my apartment and through the building, remembering good times and trying to keep them in my mind because the next day I'll be there no more. I already raged at my POS computer, telling it its day of judgement had arrived as I gleefully unplugged it knowing I'd never plug it in again. I already enjoyed the wonderful irony that my last night watching TV was spent watching the season finale from last season's Venture Bros.

BUT NNNNNNOOOOOO!!!! I'm not allowed to move on. Instead I'm stuck in limbo. Hopefully the move will happen tomorrow. Of course after the move I have to play a rousing game of "rearranging my stuff in the new place". But hey, at least I'll be in said new place. I'd tell about my new living conditions but I don't want to say anything until I know I'm there.

Meanwhile, I'll be sitting in BoxLand bored to tears.  Unless someone has a cure for my boredom. Anyone? Anyone?

Didn't think so.

(grumble)
