Some of you have probably notice a change at the rwake shows. We have a new band member. Our very old and close friend Alan Wells from the band Shitfire. There is no bad blood what so ever between us and Reid. He is, and will forever be our brother. Things just happen. He stills jams with the ever crushing Deadbird, and we love them, and him.

We are also very honored to be jamming with our longtime friend Alan. What we have done so far has been well received. This weekend at SXSW from at least 8 people we heard that it was our best show ever. That makes us feel very good, and thanks to everyone there from all over the globe.

We are gonna try and take a small break from shows so that we can finish writing some more tunes. We have one 12 minute song now called "It Was Beautiful, But Now It's Sour" , and an untitled 5 minuter so far. We have so much more written. We just need to take the time now to put it all together.

We'll be back around October playing some new stuff. Thanks again to everyone hanging in there for the new tunes.

"A Timeless Tale", created and compiled by our friend Wombat nearly 7 years ago for his Raven Moon record label, has finally surfaced!

"After countless delays, pressing mistakes and a turn of events" the long overdue never before heard compilation of bands and artists covering Saint Vitus jams is available. The record is being released online in a downloadable format only. All dowloads of the tunes will be absolutely free, making the project "a tribute in the truest sense of the word" according to the Wombat.

At some point in the early Y2k's RWAKE paid homage by self-recording and contributing our own version of the Vitus classic "The Sloth" (from the bands final doom masterpeice "Die Healing") to the compilation.
Along with the rest of the tunes on "A Timeless Tale", "The Sloth" was eventually mastered by Chris Kozlowski and has never been heard until now.

Download the rare pre-"Hell Is A Door To The Sun" era RWAKE recording, get more info on the tribute, and check out Saint Vitus in general at the link below..............

Current mood:  sad

Wed. morning Sept. 13th 2006 at about 1 am. our very close brother Bobby Redd died of a still yet unexplainable cause. Rwake and the rest of our Arkansas family got together today to pay tribute, and to say goodbye to our beloved friend. There are a lot of unanswered questions still, and a big hole left in our hearts because of this. For those rwake fans that don't know of Bobby's music search up Sickshine, Copsodomy( w/ Jeff ,Kiffin, & Chuck), and Mulattorus on myspace. Bobby Redd was a lover, a fighter, a student, a teacher, an artist, and most of all a leader. We will miss, and love you forever my brother.
