Homicide sudah bubar sejak 2007. Oleh karenanya semua merchandise berangsur di hentikan semenjak itu dan terhitung sejak Februari 2009, kami TIDAK LAGI MEMBUAT MERCHANDISE dalam bentuk apapun (T-shirt, Patches, Poster dsb). Semoga ini menjawab semua pesan atau comment yang menanyakan hal tersebut, yang tidak sempat kami balas satu persatu.

Due to our limitation in distributing our records overseas and keep it in the fair price at the same time (the local postage rates is a killer when it comes to sending stuff overseas), we have decided to work with several local labels in several states in re-releasing and distributing our CD outside Indonesia. Papakerma Records in Malaysia will release and distribute "Illsurrekshun" in Malaysia/Singapore, when Diseased Records helps us doing the task for USA region, and perhaps this would be a vinyl one. Terima kasih pada semua kawan yang mem-post komentar, pernyataan dan pertanyaan pasca pembubaran Homicide di blog myspace kami, di email, dimanapun. Mohon maaf bila kami tidak bisa membalasnya satu persatu. Sehubungan itu pula kami merasa perlu untuk mempublikasikan beberapa hal yang perlu kami sebarluaskan;

Ok, Pertama, Homicide, sekali lagi, telah bubar. Kami, dengan berat hati tentunya, tidak akan melakukan show/panggung, tur, interview atau aktivitas apapun (musikal atau bukan) dengan nama Homicide. Mungkin masih bisa kami lakukan atas nama personal namun bukan atas nama Homicide. Ini menjawab pertanyaan kawan-kawan yang sampai beberapa hari kemarin masih mengajak kami untuk terlibat dibeberapa panggung.

Ke-2, yang erat kaitannya dengan pernyataan-pernyataan kami sebelumnya seputar album baru pada beberapa wawancara bahkan pada newsletter potokopian yang kami rilis beberapa lama sebelum Homicide kami nyatakan bubar; Album terakhir kami yang terpotong tengah jalan sebelum rampung tersebut, tetap akan kami rilis. Hanya saja tidak seperti yang direncanakan sepenuhnya. Berisi 8 track dari 11 yang direncanakan, album ini akan dirilis dibawah label kami sendiri, Remains Records, bertitel "ILLSURREKSHUN". Album ini tak lebih dari sekedar hanya rilis, dan semua profit porsi kami akan digunakan dalam "Kampanye Komunitas Melawan Neoliberalisme".

Ke-3, proyek split album dengan Mary Read Collective akan tetap dirilis oleh Fight For Your Mind Records, begitu pula proyek split dengan MC Homeless akan tetap dirilis oleh Diseased Records dalam format 12" vinyl. Detail lebih lanjut menyusul di waktu mendatang.

Ke-4, pada siapapun yang membuat laman Friendster Homicide, kami sangat menghargai usaha kawan sebagai bentuk dukungan terhadap kami, namun kami pula sangat berharap kawan mencantumkan peringatan di situs tersebut bahwa situs itu bukan situs resmi kami. Terus terang, kami merasa lelah menjawab satu persatu setiap orang yang mengirim email minta di-add segala macam, atau komplen mengapa add dia tak pernah di-approve dan sejenisnya.

As we all know, Myspace is owned by Rupert-Murdoch as one of its lucrative business entity. Rupert-Murdoch is undeniably also runs global media corporate network, Fox. Indeed it takes us quite a long time to decide whether it's beneficial to utilize Myspace or not, considering its tight association with the evil corporate media mogul mentioned above.

 

One side of the coin is that this free-of-charge service offers a great deal of advantages. Myspace is accessed by millions of people worldwide regardless their nationality, cultural, racial and moreover ideological background. In effect, this makes it the most cost-effective medium in cyberspace to disseminate information. The other side of the coin, the ugly side that is, it functions powerfully as a corporate marketing tool, specifically in music industry in order to control its market. It sickens me to see bands on Myspace 'begging' people to add them as friends, solely with the intention of marking up its statistics calculation which may attract A&R officers of big major labels. Whoever gets 5000 friends will subsequently be dubbed as "popular" bands, and this or that band has higher chance of being signed by the corporation in that field.

 

The ugliest side of the coin is that Fox (The News Corporation Limited's golden son) is one of many infamous actors in the global scope that tailors global injustice, exploiting world's natural resources, manipulating the truth in information and conduct public lies. They constructed one mega multibillion dollar media corporate on the unfortunates' shoulders and backs, on top of people's misery, and what disgusts me the most is that the fact that they invested a gazillions tons of dollars in an oppressed land of the Palestinians, and moreover openly support Israel as the apartheid state. Facts mentioned above inevitably raise concerns amongst us in Homicide regarding the usage of this particular medium called Myspace, because we do know that in a world of intensifying globalization like today, nothing is neutral. There's no one single global phenomenon that doesn't have any ties whatsoever with the other knot in the other side of the planet, things are and will always be interconnected, directly or indirectly. At this point, frankly speaking, it's a tough decision for us to neglect these issues and to walk away...furthermore to give it a go and say "fuck that" is just not an option. Especially after watching children, at the same age like ours, in the third world countries being exterminated by global injustice and poverty, and also being slaughtered physically such as those in Lebanon in recent months.

 

Therefore, with no pretension to preach or to intimidate you people out there, we suggest you to consider this Myspace page of ours as nothing but a slice of newspaper page with no advertisement, meaning that you are also welcome to ignore it. We also recommend you all not to go to commercial links provided by this service. Please click a link to our website when you feel the need to go somewhere further.

 

On "Friends" section of this page (excluding people who asked to be added as friends) is intentionally designed as a source and links for hundreds even thousands of reliable information network and medium. The majority of it consists of bands that we think are relevant and inspirational enough for you guys to check and explore. You won't regret it. In addition, we also provided links to forums that will enable anybody to discover relevant information concerning different kinds of issues. For instance, FREEPALESTINA, a viable source for any informations on the struggle of Palestinian liberation so that it will assist us to opt for more multi-perspective discussions, debates, and consequently leaves us to make up a decision whether to get involved in it personally or collectively in it, be it issues on free Palestine it self or regarding Lebanon and the cruelty and inhumanity that is performed by the state of Israel. Another one is CRIMETHINC, this one will take us to infinite sources of discourses on issues such as anti-authoritarian movement, grass-root politics, personal liberation and community empowerment, civil society emancipation, and primarily on the organization of local/international resistance against neo-liberalism and war monger's global domination. We are fully aware that links provided in it are still inadequate; however we will try to add more to the list ASAP.

 

Nonetheless, ultimately we're just gonna give this one a shot. Until one day we can measure objectively whether Myspace benefits us or disadvantages us. Not to spoil all the hardwork, please keep in mind that Myspace shall only be used as a thread to connect whomever who has the same passion, nothing more nothing less.
