Hello everyone ; )
Recently caught a plane back to Nashville from doing a radio show for KISS Country in Fresno, California. Temperatures hit a high of 109 degrees the night of our outdoor gig!!! As my band member, Johnny stated... "Krista, you're not sweating, you're GLISTENING" just before I walked on stage ; ) Ha... what a joke... I was drenched! The ampatheater was packed full, of a fun, party crowd! Thanks again to Tom Jordan, his wife & everyone at KISS COUNTRY for supporting me, playing my music AND inviting us out! For all ya''ll that stood in the long line to meet me... it was MY pleasure! You ALL really made my night! Since the last blog, my band and I have put on a few miles... We performed @ Milwaukee's world famous, Summerfest on the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse stage, WOGK-Ocala H-D (thanks Mr. Bob & Big Red), WIVK in Knoxville (thanks Mike Hammond), WFUS-Tampa Bay 4th of July (thanks Travis Daily & Erik Tomlin)... to name a few!
Next up, 100.7 The Wolf’s Ultimate Chesney Tailgate Party in Seattle!
MORE Great news: Thanks to Benny Brown and the rest of my wonderful team at Broken Bow Records... My NEW single, TOMBOY, that I am a writer on, will be making it's debut this August on country radio! We are working on the music video treatment (script) right now! My FIRST one!!! Yes... I AM excited!!!
Because of my busy music schedule, I have NOT been able to make it out to any of the ATVA National Motocross races this year.... however... I WILL be hitting Loretta Lynn's in a few weeks to cheer on my friends! "DIgger" Doug Gust (Pro MX Champ #55, Suzuki) and Cindi, were kind enough to fly out to TN and help rebuild a private practice track for me last month! Now I can at least get some "seat time" in or should I say "air time" in AND get my adrenaline rush! Let's see if I can avoid crashing anytime soon... my "little" wreck that almost killed my a$$ last year is finally just a bad memory! Full recovery!!!
Bella, my puppy, has a rockstar lifestyle these days ; ) Still goes EVERYWHERE with me... plane, tour bus, motorcycle, jet ski etc... She even has HER own twitter page and will have a personal page on my website as well... COMING SOON! Life on the road CAN get a little lonely, but as lame as it sounds, she is a GREAT companion, doesn't talk back and always loves me no matter what! Much more economical and practical than kids!!! (for right now anyway..)
I hope that anyone that reads this is having a WONDERFUL summer! I want to know how you are doing, so stop by my my myspace and drop a line anytime! I'll get back to ya... might take a bit... but I will!
Keep smiling! xox

I just looked at my upcoming schedule, and see that I'll be touring IL, OH, PA and NEW YORK!!!! I'm looking forward to saying 'hi' to some of my family & friends up there and making sure that MY hometown stations are also adding me to their playlist!!!! My dad used to say, "We'll make em' an offer they CAN'T refuse!"
And THEN..... on to Milwaukee, to kick off WOMEN RIDERS' MONTH, hosted by the ONE and ONLY, Harley-Davidson! I can't wait to tour the museum, lead the ride (with Anne Paluso), and later, attend the Black-N-Blue Ball, where I will sing a song or two to help raise $$$ to benefit MDA research! Check the event out online... It's going to be FUN, and is held for a GREAT cause!

(Nashville, Tennessee...) -- April 15, 2009 -- Broken Bow/Holeshot Records artist Krista Marie was only 30 minutes into the Western leg of her radio tour on Monday, promoting her debut single "Jeep Jeep," when her bus was side-swiped by a semi on I-10 headed to Tucson. The semi slammed into the right side of the bus causing Robb the driver to hit the guardrail.
Robb kept the bus upright, and no one was injured, as the truck left the scene.
"I was ready to jump my Harley and run the guy down!" said a fired up Krista, who wanted to put her former racing and stunt woman skills to work.
Krista called 911 to get the highway patrol on the case, and the bus stopped to file a police report.
"The police officer and two guys from a local Ford dealership who pulled over to check on us were all very nice," added Krista. "They all came on the bus and got a copy of 'Jeep Jeep' along with signed pictures for their kids."
Within an hour the crew was back on the road headed to Tucson...minus some paint and one right-side mirror.
Just another day at the office for Krista Marie. Krista Marie on iLike - Add iLike to your MySpace

It has been an eventful week... Last Friday, I did my FIRST stadium show at Freedom Hall, in Louisville, Kentucky for approx. 8,000 people!!!! First, but NOT my last!!! I performed my single, "Jeep Jeep," which will be released April 27th, along with a number of my originals, ending the show with "Big Rig," a song I co-wrote with Rivers Rutherford & George Teren.... We got a standing O!!! VERY excited about that!
From there, it was on to Pigeon Forge with the family for indoor skydiving, boot shopping and go-cart racing... AND some good ol'
southern cooking! Gotta' love that southern fried chicken....
48 hours later, I was back in Nashville to do a 10 hour photo shoot with Tony Baker! We did a million different set ups including Jeep shots, (Dierks Bentley was kind enough to let me borrow his old beater
Jeep) ATV shots, motorcycle shots and me on a beautiful white horse in a deep blue evening gown (same horse used in the Hannah Montana movie)... Can't wait to see the pictures!!! They will be used for promotional purposes throughout the year as well as my NEW album cover!
In between takes, I was checking the online stats of the first ATVA National MX race of the 2009 season (Pell City, AL)... To my "track family & friends"... I was TOTALLY there in spirit! Miss ya, but I'll see you soon!
At the wrap of the photo shoot, my amazing seamstress, Heather Robinson, was able to squeeze in another dress fitting for my ACM gown. I can't believe I'll be leaving for Vegas in less than 2 weeks!!! Karen Davidson (of Harley-Davidson) overnighted the BEAUTIFUL Italian leather that will be used for the corset.... Karen will also be riding to the Red Carpet with me on her Harley!
By the time the clock struck midnight, I was driving down the highway on the tour bus with Lee Adams (BBR), Brian Davis (co-writer/guitar player), and Bella ; ) We are on the road doing my official RADIO TOUR! So far, we have visited various stations in VA, NC, and tomorrow...PA... Basically, radio tour is an opportunity for the stations to "get to know me" and to hear my music, which they will hopefully be playing on their networks as soon as April hits! EVERYONE has been so nice & I am REALLY enjoying this process... I guess it's because I love meeting new people AND I get to sing and write while on the road... the scenery is NEVER the same in my office!!!
Unfortunately, it was too cold and rainy this trip to haul the ATV's and Harley's with us, but you can count on them being loaded up on the next run ; )
Well... that should pretty much cover it!
Until next time!

Last weekend, it was off to Daytona,FL for Bike week with Harley-Davidson and then straight back to Nashville to host the Bridge Bar for CRS (Country Radio Seminar). Throughout the evening, I got to race radio personalities from ALL over the U.S., as well as my good friend and Record Label owner, Benny Brown, (Broken Bow Records) on Harley-Davidson arcade games! I won't say who won... ; ) I am looking forward to seeing many of them again during my radio tour, starting THIS month! I will be out on the road promoting my first single, "Jeep Jeep!" Can't wait for everyone to hear it! This week, I have been in the studio with my producer Ted Hewitt, recording more songs for the album.... I am really proud of the way is sounds and I think you all will love it too! Last but not least, I was just informed that my song "Drive It Like I Stole It" (NHRA theme song) will be available as a RINGTONE, as of this weekend! It will be very easy to purchase, check my websites for info on Friday!
Wait.... there's more!!! Benny @ BBR has fully supported donating all profits from the ringtone, to a special charity called B.R.A.K.E.S. Doug Herbert (NHRA top fuel race car driver) formed this nonprofit organization, which stands for Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe, after losing his two sons, ages 12 and 17 in a tragic automobile accident early last year. The mission of the organization is to prevent injuries and save lives by training and educating teenage drivers and their parents about the importance of safe and responsible driving.
With my motorsports background and the fact that I’m traveling more and more with my music career, I couldn’t think of a better organization to partner with than B.R.A.K.E.S. You can learn more by visiting www.putonthebrakes.com or support by purchasing the ringtone, by going to www.KristaMarie.net
Thanks ya'll! xo KM

Drove down to Daytona Bike Week Saturday in the Holeshot Express with Bella! The band and the bus followed... Monday night I was announced and welcomed to the Harley-Davidson Team @ the official press conference... What an honor and a dream! Tuesday morning, I had the privilege to ride side by side on my Muscle V-Rod with Karen Davidson, while leading the ALL Woman's Harley Parade starting from Daytona Speedway & finishing @ the Ocean Center. There were over 400 chicks signed up to ride. (the event raised over $52,000 for MDA)... Talk about GIRL POWER!!! At the finish of the ride we all lined up to take a photo that will be featured in the Harley-Davidson museum in Milwaukee, WI as part of their dedication to woman riders... VERY cool! Later that afternoon, I had my FIRST radio interview with 93.1 The KRO promoting my single "Jeep Jeep," due to release April 13th and then headed out to perform live at the Harley stage. I rocked out with my songwriting partner and good friend, Brian Davis and Mike Rivers from Harley Nation also got up to jam for a few! It was chilly, but the sun was shining and I had the time of my life... Right now we're about 2 hours out from Nashville, making it back just in time to do interviews for CRS (Country Radio Seminar) Bella is co-pilot! Oh, and I almost forgot... Karen Davidson & I went over sketches of my gown for ACM night! She will be designing one specially made for me! Totally stoked about that!!! Hope everyone is doing great! Check back in a few days... I'm planning on posting some new pics from the trip! xo KM99 ; )
