Passing over water into my daily grind
One ear resting on john's poetic mind

One wheel turning in circles for kicks
One wheel turning lyrical tricks

Sing my way through my 9-5
Using the down time to work on my rhyme

When the reason, it sometimes doesn't add up
Why i find myself locked in this repetitive rut

And yet my alarm still stays set to seven thirty

I know, I know... you probably think i fell off the face of the musical earth... but... Good news! NEW SONGS!!! Im so excited to finally put up these songs that I've been working very hard on. With the help of the very talented, Alex Vishno, I recorded some new stuff (some songs you'll recognize and some you won't..) and I am proud to share them with you. I would love for everyone to take a listen!!

Now, for the mediocre news... A couple months ago, I went in for a voice diagnostic at Southern Connecticut State University. After a bunch of testing and a stroboscopy (fancy word for a camera down my throat), I was informed that it was imperative that I go on vocal rest. That would explain why I haven't done a gig in FOREVER!!! So here I am with new songs and new recordings, and I'm not allowed to play a show... ughhh. Talk about frustrating! But hey, they say the best things come to those who wait ;) So I'm waiting... just patiently waiting for my voice to get better... and for fall to change the colors of the leaves outside my window so I can start my vocal therapy... So in the meantime, enjoy the music. And believe me, once this puppy is up and runnin, I'll let you know... and we can have a grand 'ol reunion... with dresses, and bowties, and streamers.. get ready, it'll be friggin awesome! Thanks for listening!

This past Monday, I went to Hillcrest High School in Jamiaca Queens to teach ":songwriting sessions" for the students of the great, all knowing.... Ms. Stillman!! It was quite an experience. One- to see Jess with students.. and Two- to come into a class with a clean slate and have no expectations on you... It felt really good to play to such a receptive audience. They asked questions about songwriting and poetry.. and then we got to dissect the story and meanings of the songs.. (great, thanks a lot, jess). hehe. But all in all it was such a good learning experience for me. So a big thanks to the Hillcrest students for listening! And an even bigger thanks to Jess!! It was a lot of fun... Can't wait to come again.

Thank you to everyone who came to The Bitter End last Sunday! You helped me raise 100 bucks towards the walk for Autism!! (and at 5 dollars a pop, thats not so shabby) Thanks again.. It feels to good to do something positive with my art.. everyone should try it...

As some of you already know, I am walking for the Austism Speaks Fund in October. I have already begun collecting donations and sponsors for the event. I couldn't be more pleased with the turn out... I raised close to three hundred dollars in ONE DAY!! Amazing. You all have been so generous. On top of that, I am donating all the proceeds from my next show to the fund as well.
