"Soaring UK post-metal types RINOA (who, by the way, are also playing the Terrorizer-sponsored Damnation Festival in Leeds) are in the process of following up their un/self-titled EP, walled up in the studio as you read this and hard at work on their debut full-length. With a colour vinyl split with the defunct Bossk also out as a testament to their place as rising scholars of the slowburn, we grabbed a quick word with guitarist JOZEF NOROCKY."

Hybrid underwent some major line-up changes just after the release of 'The 8th Plague' with all members departing except founding member and mastermind Chus Maestro. Over the past few months Chus has rebuilt the band bringing in Rafa Fernández on Vocals, Iván Durán on Guitar, Iago Fuentes on Bass and Antonio Sánchez on Guitar. Now fully bedded in, the new lineup is primed, stronger than ever and ready to unleash their avant death metal lunacy live. Next show is on 17th June with Misery Index at Ritmo & Compás in Madrid. Over the next few months expect further dates to be announced.

"The 8th Plague walks a fine line between grandiose genius and window-licking lunacy. ...jaw-droppingly superb"
- 4KKKK Kerrang!

"...heavy, brutal, cacophonous, extreme and then jaw droppingly complex and brilliant in it's orchestration and writing. People who like Meshuggah may well find their new favourite band here..."
- 5/5 Subba Cultcha

We can now reveal a strictly limited retrospective release by Rinoa's now disbanded predecessor, Crydebris.

Crydebris were special. They were one of those depressingly short-lived bands that self-released one incredible EP that reminded you of everything you loved about your country's underground music scene, then split up just when they appeared to be going somewhere. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? 'The Severing' spliced the dissonant time signature-shifting chaos of Botch and Eden Maine with the spaced-out beauty of the likes of Mahumodo and No Wings To Speak Of-era Hopesfall, resulting in a sound that, at the time, felt like a refreshingly unique punch to the gut. Particular standout moments include the incredible explosion after the ambient lull in the middle of the title track, or the gang vocal-laden finale of 'Mononoke-Picture'.

Contains an additional track titled 'Atonement' that didn't appear on the original self-released version.

01. The Severing
02. Vertigo
03. Mononoke-Picture
04. Atonement

The BOSSK side features a rare quality live recording of "Events Occur In Real Time" the only song the band wrote after the two EPs. Recorded through the mixing desk at The Underworld in Camden Town, London on 22nd June 2008 and featuring an improv guest appearance by Arif Driessen of *SHELS on Trumpet.

Both sides have been mastered at New Alliance East, Boston, USA by Nick Zampiello who has worked with the likes of Isis, Converge, Torche and loads more.

NEW POST-BOSSK BAND

We have heard one demo and it's great stuff that is sure to go down well with those that loved BOSSK as much as us.
