Promises!Promises! 08.12.2006
Wilhelmshaven als Support der Tigerbombs
Oldenburg, FH-Party

Das wird jetzt ein bisschen länger hier. Wer lesefaul ist, hier die kurze Version:
Es war einfach klasse!!!

Jetzt geht die lange Version los^^

Schon mal jemand zwei Gigs nacheinander gerockt???

Der meinte doch glatt, man könne hier ganz gut was essen.

Endlich was zu essen!!! Danke!

15.11.2006 / Hamburg / Marx (Markhalle)
To/Die/For .. Open The Wounds-Tour 2006

Support:
Indigo Child
SINAMORE
Das Scheit

I am not sure how long I have waited for the day the fantastic finnish band SINAMORE is coming on tour through Germany. But finally the day SINAMORE are playing their first gig as support band of To/Die/For in Germany had come. And I am the lucky one who could be their to rock with them
So I packed my things and went on to a 250 km drive from Aurich to Hamburg. All alone

They played in a small location called Marx (Markthalle). It was really quite small and that gaves it a pleasant atmosphere. I always like those small venues cos they are some kind of familiar.

I got in at half past seven, of course half an hour later then it was planned. I truly hate waiting before gigs are starting! I hate it!!!
After gotten in I heard that the bands are still doing the soundcheck. And I recognized Mikkos voice I have such a damn weakness for those dark, deep voices ..I opened the door and they were on stage there. It was cool to see them during their last soundcheck. It was something like checking out if they are indeed good in playing live. And yes, they were!
After they had finished Indigo Child (Slovenia) also did their last soundcheck. That lasted until half past eight and I remember the show should start at 8pm..that is what my ticket said. I am m sure that is an illness of rock bands..they never start punctually. Strange thing..hehe! But does not matter as long if they start

Alright so, show starts at 9pm with Indigo Child playing some songs. For my part I did not like them so much. Not my taste of music.

And then finally it was SINAMORE`s turn They did a brillant show. To be honest I have not expected something else. The guys are really good in playing live. But unfortunately the small audience seemed not to be that fanatic for rock music. But anyways I loved to see them and enjoyed their music.

During the 3rd band Das Scheit (Germany) played I got the invitation of Mikko to join them for talking. So what shall I say here. Tommi, Mikko, Jarno and Miika are quite nice guys. Not that shy and quiet as it is said about the Finns...hehe! Loved to talk with you guys! And believe me, I really didn`t know the other three bands. I just came to see YOU!
And thank you for that cool shirt. I like it so much. In some way it`s different from other band shirts as I told Jarno. Great idea!

That seemed to turn into a long blog here. But I need to mention the main act as well, To/Die/For, also a finnish band. I had just heard the songs at their myspace. So actually I didn`t know them. But when they were on stage they convinced me. They did a good show and I liked their music. So would be cool to see them again and maybe I will get their latest cd soon

16.11.2006 / Hamburg / Knust
Zeraphine .. Still-Tour 2006

Supported by Entwine

Being at that show was pure chance!
I just had the new album "Fatal Design" of Entwine (Finland..who else could they come from..lol) since Monday and it was the first album of them I bought. So one day before I went to Hamburg I checked the Entwine-thread on the Deep Insight Forum and saw that they are in Germany right now! Of course that made me wanting to buy a ticket for the Hamburg show cos I love the album. In hope that the show was not yet sold out I went to Hamburg station and .. luckily .. I got one

So I went to the Knust in the evening and first tried to find Lynn. She wanted to be there as well and yes..! So we talked a bit and had some fun over there. Lynn, you are such a cool and funny person
But finally Entwine jumped on stage and started playing. Wow..great..great music, great band! It seemed as if the audience liked them a lot so they could do a fantastic show.

Lynn told me a few things about Zeraphine during the break..hehe!
I have already heard about that band but only knew one song, Macht In Dir. I always liked it and so I was excited, what their show and music would be like. And yeah..they were really good. In their show I especially liked the lights. That was pretty cool and kinda mystic sometimes.

After they finished playing I decided to go home cos I had to get up too early on Friday to drive back home.
In all I would say that those two days/nights made more and more addicted to gigs and Finns and to meeting nice people. Today is Saturday already and I am still tired as if I had no sleep the last whole week but it was all worth it.
Love you finnish guys and your music.
Keep on rocking and never forget your german "fans"!

.....und dann will ich euch springen sehn!
Eins...zwei...drei...vier...fünf...sechs...sieben, acht, neun, zehn!!!..

What a crazy and great weekend.
I am still on holiday and I could give my Ireland experiences the right finale.
Promises!Promises! came to Emden for a gig What else do I need than good rock music and such a fanatstic gig?
And I was so looking forward to see Jelly again
We rocked all night long and I felt sooooo good after that. It was really fun!!!

Finally a short review of my latest travel to my most fave country - Ireland

Saturday, 16-09-2006
I couldn't sleep anymore so I got up early and did a few last purchases, packed things and took my little car to go to the airport Weeze - a 3hrs drive direction south on a very summerly september day. I got there tired and and too early. So I took some time to rest. After checking in I went straight to the waiting area at the gate. By the way that day it was the last flight out of that mini-airport. So me and all the other travellers started waiting for the plane and boarding...but nothing happed. It gets later and later and suddenly we got an announcement that our flight will be late for 45 minutes. Great...more waiting though...with german tourists and screaming kids...great...With headache and totally sleepy I finally could enter the one and a half hour delayed plane and the journey started. I felt so glad when I thought of that fantastic island I would reach in less than two hours...Ireland, you got me back!!! Arrived at Shannon airport and the day ended in just fallen into bed at my comfortable B&B near Limerick.

Sunday, 17-09-2006
I got up and had a very tasty breakfast.
Went to beautiful Lough Derg and drove to the top of one of the highest mountains near Killaloe / Ballina. Breathtaking view! Later we stopped in Sixmilebridge for a short break and having some food. After a few nice hours in irish nature we went back to Limerick and did a short orientation tour. Got back to the B&B in the late evening.
Angels day The weather was very nice that day. Sunny, warm and a bit cloudy and windy.

Monday, 18-09-2006
I slept long and got up late. This day I planned going to Limerick and doing a bit of sightseeing. So I caught the bus in the late morning and went there. First of all I went to the tourist office to get a map of the town. Otherwise it could have happened that I totally lost my way Then I visited King Johns Castle and St. Marys Cathedral. I found that was enough of culture and went into town for shopping a little bit around. In the late afternoon I took the bus back to my B&B.
Angels day for me again This day the weather was similar to Sunday but with a few rain showers during the afternoon.

I changed my room today. Got a bigger and nicer one
Today I decided to visit Irelands most beautiful village Adare. So I took the bus direction Tralee. Unfortunately I was really disappointed in Adare. I have already seen more beautiful towns in Ireland. Alright, so I was there and of course I walked around to see the cottages and the old monastary. After having a sandwich I watched the map and my clock. There was a lot time left until the next bus went back to Limerick. So I walked along the street and looked out for Desmond Castle. In the late afternoon I went back to Limerick and B&B.
Another angels day Weather was warm and sunny but very windy.

Wednesday, 20-09-2006
Slept long again and took the bus to Limerick because I wanted to visit Bunratty Castle today. Unfortunately I missed the bus to the castle. I was sure that it was just two or three minutes. Ok. So I waited for the next one that went an hours later. I arrived at Bunratty Castle a bit too late so I had to hurry to see it because it had been closed at 4.30pm. It was raining terribly and incessant that day. So when I went outside to look a around in the Folk Park I really got wet. More than I could imagine. My shoes were definitely not waterproof. So I felt as if I was swimming back to the bus stop, Limerick and my B&B. The angel has gone

Thursday, 21-09-2006
Departure day and also another devils day. The rain didnt stop.
Had to check out and leave my B&B today. So I packed things and went to Shannon Airport after lunch. Was already wet when I arrived at Limerick bus station. But didnt matter to me. After I have checked in and got my boarding card I watch a bit around at the airport and then went to the gate. Flight was late again but this time only a bit more than half an hour. I was tired but I knew that I had to drive home after getting back to Germany. So I took time to take some rest and shopped around the souvenir shops there. Had a good flight back and arrived at warm Germany late. Took my luggage, searched my car and started the long way home. After a three hours drive I finally got there well and just fell into my warm and comfortable own bed.
