What's up noise makers? Time for an update on Stir the Silence. We have been forced to cancel a few shows in February and March due to the circumstances of our drummer Jeremy's medical situation. He had to have surgery a few weeks ago to remove a cyst that formed on one of his lower vertibrae in his back. The surgery went well and everything looked to be going according to plan. But last week, it got a little more complicated when an infection developed at the surgery site. Jeremy was forced to have another surgery to clear out the infection and make sure he can continue safely towards recovery. Doctors expect him to be fully recovered and back to %100 in a few weeks, provided that nothing else complicates his recovery. We apologize to our fans in San Antonio and Dallas as well as our fans in Tulsa, OK and Ottawa, KS that were looking forward to seeing us live and hanging out with us. Those shows WILL be rescheduled in the coming weeks to make it up to you as soon as possible. Thank you guys for all the love and support. You keep us going. Danny-Stir the Silence

You've been led astray
It's your final day
You can't give up on your vision in light of ignorance
You can't back down from convictions just because you taste a little fear
It's your life
Live it your way
Bury your fear
Sever those fatal lies
You've got nothing left to fear
If you've got nothing left to lose
My impressions of emptiness
What I am I built up with my own bleeding hands
Where I am
I got here
I got here on my own
My Blood Rights
If I'm going blind
Teach me
Destroy my former self
Rebuild what I used to be

When you think of the great state of Texas one often thinks of the biggest state in the Union, The Alamo, or yes its many cows. But in this case, I am not here to introduce or reintroduce you to either of these. But to an amazing band called Stir the Silence. Whom have successfully combined aggressive hard hitting music with killer vocals and talented musicianship.
Formed last year, Stir the Silence brought together a group of four individuals who mesh to make the sound that is perfect for them. This amazing group consists of: David Christian Beard on vocals. Wulfgang Milez on guitar. Thomas Oas on bass and Jeremy Cochran on drums. Brought together these guys make such creativeness to bring us such songs as "Chainsaw" or "Missing Link". Or my personal favorite "No Such Thing". I am fairly confident these guys could get a pit started anywhere. Whether it be a local venue, a grocery store, or even at your local church.
Stir the silence is gaining and maintaining wide spread notoriety. Some of the places they have played in the D/FW area are but are not limited to: The Ridglea, Tomcats, and The Wreck Room. Also graced by their presence is many areas throughout the Midwest. They have also been given a rave review by The Metal Den. Which I must say is not just something that is given away to just anyone. Local upcoming shows I would recommend going to would be The Ridglea Theater Metalfest. Where you can show your support for these guys. As well as the many other talented bands here.
I could go on and for hours on end about how great this band is. But I think the band is the proof in itself. Just a set of normal guys come together to form a band that amazes and astounds everywhere it goes. In a music scene I have heard some say has been going stagnant and dying, I think Stir the Silence is one of the many great bands that steps up to plate to prove them wrong by showing them just how alive our music scene in the area is. As it refuses to die thanks to the bands doing what they do for the music and for us.
In closing, I would very much like to thank this band for the honor of doing a review on them. As well as you for taking them time for reading it. This band needs no praise, for it definitely like I said is the proof in itself of what 4 guys who come together with a love of music can do. If you have not checked this band out please do so and show your support for them and as many other up and coming bands as you can. Stir the Silence definitely deserves our respect and our fan base. They surely have earned it. Thanks again.

Check it out, folks!! Aug 25th show review at The Metal Den
Forth Worth, Texas has a budding metal powerhouse in its midst with local boys STIR THE SILENCE. The act is fronted by the enigmatic lead vocalist David Christian Beard who on this night sounded absolutely filled to the brim with pissed off energy. After the set began, the lively crowd of about one hundred beer drinkers didn't waste any time letting the talented young group know with horns raised in approval exactly how they felt. One could say the spirit of true metal was "breathing new life" for all to witness at this popular northern Texas club. STIR THE SILENCE took no prisoners as they slammed their way through some crushing songs off their latest demo, tracks such as: "Chainsaw", "Missing Link and "No Such Thing". Combined with the face-ripping riffage and well thought out soloing of Wulfgang Milez on lead guitar, the powerful rhythm section of Thomas Oas on bass guitar with Jeremy Cochran on drums and Beard's murderous bark-style singing approach made it more than clear to see that this band is dedicated to what heavy music is all about, much like the "hit them hard as hell when you're live" mentality of great metal titans like PANTERA and SLAYER. It will certainly be very interesting to see what comes of STIR THE SILENCE in the next few years as they continue to develop and make a name for themselves in the very much booming Texas metal scene and of course the rest of the awaiting metal world beyond it.
