Due to unforeseen family circumstances we apologise that Triaxis will be unable to perform at this Sunday's Femme Metal Festival.
We are sincerely sorry that we are unable to play and that we understand those fans that are attending will be disappointed but thank you for your patience and understanding as always.
We fully support the causes that the Festival is in aid of and hope that the Festival is a success over both days.

Category: Blogging
Well things have been a little hectic here at Triaxis Towers so this blog is a little delayed in coming out to you lovely people.
August 14th and Triaxis descended upon Catton Hall, Derbyshire to spend the weekend embroiled in a swathe of metal in all its forms. It was an excellent opportunity for us to see some of our favourite bands perform, to meet other unsigned acts, swap stories and to pick the brains of those signed acts that we have admired and who have influenced us.
Friday, we decided to go and see the bands that each of us had an interest in, so split into teams and headed off to the three stages to see what was on offer. We managed, between us, to see bands such as Arch Enemy, Pythia, Gods of Hellfire, Saxon, Katatonia and a few more. CJ and I also managed to meet up with some of the fabulous folk that frequent UKMU forums and put faces to the names that we know so well.
Saturday was again an opportunity to network in the VIP area, and also a chance to do a pre-gig interview with the lovely Vix, the Angel of Metal. You can view our interview here. Again we split into groups and headed off to see what was on offer on the three stages, and between us caught the performances of Wolf (lovely bunch of guys), Kreator, Apocolyptica, Blind Guardian and Cradle of Filth on the main stage. The unsigned stage held a few good bands again, like Switchblade Scream, Inner Eden and our friends Hunted.
CJ, Gio and Krissie of Triaxis with Johannes Axeman and the tech guy from WOLF and the lovely Katie Bruce
Sunday came around very quickly and that meant our turn. So we prepared as best we can at a camp/camper van site and headed off to the back of the Unsigned stage to prepare to go on, just in time to have a quick catch up with our fellow South Wales based pals, Annwn. Then came our turn.
We put the nerves into check, kicked ourselves into gig gear and just did what we normally do… give it 110% and rock out. (photo thanks to Anthony May)
The crowd were awesome, we asked them to clap they did, we asked for horns and got a sea of them, we couldn’t have asked for more. 30 minutes came and went in the blink of an eye and we would have happily done another 30mins if we could have. Thank you to everyone who came to Bloodstock and stopped by the tent to see our set that day, we really do appreciate it.
(photo thanks to Al Talbot)
After spending some time on the merch stand and chatting to some fans old and new, off we went to do more interviews including one with the awesome DJ Beerman, from Top Rock Radio (you can download his BOA podcast here).
As the night wore on, we had a few drinks… which resulted in some interesting pictures that you will find on the Triaxis facebook page, and the photo album here, we also managed to catch the perfomances of Turisas, Amon Amarth, our friends Eden’s Curse and the fantastic Europe (and yes they eventually did sing that song).
All in all, a busy but fantastically fun weekend… we just wanted to do it all over again.

If you want to view the videos from our set that day you can find them here on our YouTube page, although I've embedded New Day in the bottom of this blog for you lovely folk. We took so much footage I’ve maxed out my hard drive… oops, so there will be a video of our time at Bloodstock coming soon. As soon as it is hosted I will link it in another blog.
Until next time

Check out what they had to say about Triaxis below and be sure to go check out UKMU! UKMU RECOMMENDS: TRIAXIS
http://www.myspace.com/triaxisukTriaxis are not a female-fronted Metal band - they are a Metal band. Pure and simple. Sure, they have a female singer (and also a female guitarist) but they're not just there to pull in the hormonal fan-boys: these girls rock harder than your average hairy rock dude, and so do the rest of the band! Live, they tear up the stage with a confidence born of great musicianship twinned with songs that grab the audience by the balls (or whatever else they have) and insist that you bang your head and throw horns from start to finish. Pure energy, crafted into the finest Metal tracks you'll encounter from anyone, this five-piece certainly know how to write a rock tune!

Album Art Revealed
Here it is, the last but one piece of the puzzle. We say last but one
because, of course, the finished article is the final piece. I
think you'll agree that CJ has done a fantastic job on the artwork.
The proofs came back from the manufacturers today and the run is now in
production. If you would like to see the full insert for the album
artwork, you can view it here
So we're all very nervously excited again! It's Monday night....

and listen in via the power of the interweb. Also during the show you
can email in questions to the band but will give you the email address
on the night. Bloodstock and Beyond So
BOA, Album Launch, you'd think we'd be taking a well earned holiday
after all this but no! We will be taking the Triaxis experience far
and wide over the winter months. We are playing various venues around
the Birmingham, Nottingham and London areas over the next four - five
months. The full gig listing can be found on our myspace page, hopefully we are bringing the show to your neck of the woods, if not then maybe soon as we are adding dates all the time. Pre-order the Album... Yes that's right you can now pre-order your copy of Key to the Kingdom.

Key to the Kingdom news
Well it took a lot of scratching of heads, lots of bits of paper and much in the way of coffee, tea and various soft drinks (we are so metal it hurts) but finally we have agreed on the track listing. So here you are, the official track listing for the debut album Key to the Kingdom:
1. Phoenix 2. Gates of Damnation 3. Lies 4. Aurora 5. New Day 6. Autumn Hourglass 7. Sins of the Father 8. Lord of the Northern Sky 9. Submission 10. Now is the Time 11. The Geisha and the King
The album sounds hot! Owen has done some amazing work with the mixing and mastering. We will treat you to a sneak peak at the artwork soon!

The pre-order will also be available through the merchstore from next week. (Cor this is all a bit exciting isn't it? - Krissie )
Bloodstock preparations
We're in rehearsals to ensure that we give those going to Bloodstock the full Triaxis experience in the time alloted (which we do for all gigs but I have a word count to fill up and it sounded cool - Krissie).
Talking of allotted times Triaxis will be performing on the Unsigned Stage on Sunday August 16th 2009 at 1:45pm. And straight after our performance we will be on the merchstand for 45 mins so if you want to come and chat to us you'll know where to look :-) The running order for the full weekend can be found on the Bloodstock website, www.bloodstock.uk.com
Album Lunch tickets
Don't forget you can prebook your tickets through ticket web for the album launch on August 22nd.
The launch will be at Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff and we are looking at the possibility of a minibus (or coach depending on numbers interesting) from Swansea/Port Talbot and Neath for a small fee and you won't have to worry about trains etc. If you are interested please email me at krissie@triaxis.info as I'll be getting prices this week.
Live on Radio Tircoed
Yes that's right our good friend, and possibly our number one fan, Big Jim of the Rock Show is letting us invade the studio for a few hours of gossip, giggles and possibly even some little acoustic loveliness. We'll be streaming live across the internet airwaves (as well as in the local Swansea area on 106.5 fm) on Radio Tircoed on Monday August 10th from 8pm. (www.radiotircoed.com)
Next shows
Will be at The Masons Rock Club in Llanelli on Friday August 7th. We'll be joined by our friends HollowTone and Negative Profile for a night of metalicious goodness. Pop along if you can make it, details if you are on facebook can be found on our page.

Until next time.....
