Hello all, we are very excited to announce that our first record, entitled "Teeth"  will be released later this year.  We are very proud to be working with two amazing labels.  Sockets will be releasing the CD format, and Gilgongo will be releasing the LP format.  They are both currently in our top friends, so please check them out.  Also, the great Mick Barr will be doing the artwork.  We will be doing a national tour in January of '08 to promote the record.  We will let everyone know once we have an official release date for the record, and will post tour dates as they are confirmed.  Thanks.

The loft show we're playing this Friday, June 8th will be our last show for a while, as Ben will be going on tour with Archaeopteryx for 8 weeks and Travis will be in Vermont for the summer.  Thanks to everyone who came out to our double-header last Thursday.  We had our first gig at a "jazz club" and then had a great show at Zebulon with Zs. We will be hitting it hard again in the fall, so stay tuned for more updates!

Little Women recently performed at the BAM cafe. Hank Shteamer(Time Out NY) reviewed the show on his top-notch blog. Here is what he had to say about our set:

"then Little Women, a great sort of punk-jazz quartet. that idea (punk jazz, or what have you) is not a new thing and can be really tedious (i'm not a fan of Naked City or any of these projects where jazz players go around congratulating themselves for listening to heavy or abrasive music). but Little Women has a very genuine raucousness. also though there's a gorgeous sense of structure. the band--2 saxes, guitar and drums--works a lot with these sort of fanfare type themes, often with jagged, proggy rhythms. for the improvisations, the band atomizes, constantly splitting up into different mini groups. the guitarist Ben Greenberg--who, it must be said (must it? i don't know, really), is a very close friend of mine--plays with a crazy snarling tone and extreme volume, giving the music a real attack feel, and the saxists just completely go for it as well. tenor player Travis Laplante has an absolutely huge sound, with an apocalyptic-free-jazz meets R&B kind of vibe. the set ended with this amazing coda: the two saxists--the other being the excellent Darius Jones--took off their mouthpieces and just started basically ranting/moaning/emoting into their horns, using the keys to fuck with the sound. it was unsettling and beautiful." for the whole night's review please visit:
