does anyone recognize this number? i keep getting weird calls at all hours of the night from this number.. weird breathing and silence with some whispering?

please feel free to call 319-929-8378 often to try and find out who it is.

maybe if the number was put up on bathroom walls around the country we could better narrow down who this is?

if you are selling a car at 1/2 of bluebook value or have a brand new computer to sell for 1/4 of the price, my friend at 319-929-8378 will be more than willing to handle all the people interested in your wares.

please comment on this blog if you call that person and report in on your findings. if you put the phone number up in a crapper, take a photo and post it on this blog. i'm interested in your creativity.

much love to you from the robot crue.

robo-t made this video about a hundred years ago before we had any idea what it takes to make a video.

the editing is pretty funny and there is a lot of repetition but its pretty damn nostalgic for us.

the wild fantasies car club helped us out with this shoot by letting us film their cars. one of the guys is dead and another one was in the federal pen. they are great guys and have ultimate respect from robots.

here it is...

enjoy!

this is never going to be published so if you care what robots think, here you go!

1. So first of all, what exactly is 8 Bit Music?

see wikipedia.

2. How did 8 Bit Music as a genre emerge?

various nerds and assholes decided independently (and in some cases as mindless follower drones) to make music using 8-bit sounds. since nerds generally use computers, they were able to form a community with other nerds and the genre emerged.

3. Excuse my ignorance - Is there any difference between Chiptune and 8 Bit Music?

ignorance cannot be excused.

4. What are the elements of an 8 Bit Track?

hopefully some sort of melodic music combined with 8-bit sounds.

5. When and how did you become involved with 8 Bit Music?

by accident in 2001. we did some 8-bit music and "8-bit weapon" found out about it. he then told us about all the other douchebags that make 8-bit music.

6. What is it about 8 Bit Music that you love?

the super sexy fan girls. 8-bit music fans are mostly highly attractive females with loose morals.

7. There was a large 8 Bit showcase at SXSW this year as well as an 8 Bit documentary. Is 8 Bit Music gaining more popular recognition?

i sure hope not.

8. Along with the Blip Festival are there any other major 8 Bit events coming up?

there is the pocket protector convention in vegas. and, of course the never-seen-a-girl-naked fest offered online in various basements around the world.

9. The 8 Bit community seems to be a strong but disparate community are events like SXSW and Blip an important opportunity to bring the community together and exchange music and ideas?

SXSW hasnt been good for anything except getting texas girls drunk for at least 5 years. you gotta love it that unsigned bands like X, the flaming lips, and billy idol can perform there to hopefully begin a 'professional' career in music.

SXSW was a good idea initially but now its useless.

10. Where does the inspiration for a track come from? What's the creative process?

inspiration mostly comes from drugs and alcohol. occasionally from terrorist acts.....

the creative process is first, you have an idea. (see inspiration) then you park your ass in front of an instrument or computer. then you make a song.

11. What equipment do you use to create a track?

guitars, bass, drums, computers, our cat, beer cans, hub caps, nintendo consoles.

12. Outside of 8 Bit Music what music are you into at the moment?

the kinks. david allen coe. devo. GG allin. ween.

13. As an introduction to 8 Bit Music what tracks or artist would you suggest?

any nintendo game from the OG 8-bit console. dont listen to us. we suck. just ask any other 8-bit "artist". fireSTARTer is good but probably fascist. computeHer is great but she hates men. 8-bit weapon is really good but super gay.

14. What's coming up for you? Any Releases, Events etc.

the only thing we have to look forward to is death

thanks!
