Hi Everyone!

I’ve recently been working very closely with Flash Game Development teams and am blown away with the complexity Flash games can reach these days. I’m starting to feel that as a game platform (bigger than any other) it deserves more respect!

So what can I do? Well I could do nothing, or I could step up and make some effort myself.

I enjoy being able to do whatever I feel like, so I hired a team to develop a site for fans of flash games, asking them to find the best Flash Game Developers in the world.

We have team members playing thousands of these games right now, games from all around the world. It would be impossible for us to be sure and see every single one in existence, but we want to, so we will have the players help find the ones we missed.

I will partner with major companies to help on making the awards like no other. GameInvestors will help the winners grow by introducing them to some of the top investment and publishing companies in the world, we will do everything we can to help them grow and get the recognition they deserve.

Ultimately the developers will get real awards (from the fans) and I will choose an awards ceremony to work with that will give these people the respect they deserve. (You know how to reach me.)

The site is in development (about 70% complete) and we are inviting you to be the first to get access and test it out.

Just like my other sites, this one is completely free, just come along to www.thefanawards.org and sign up. As soon as we are set we will email you with the password so you can come and help us test it. Feel free to bring your friends along to help! Places are limited though so be quick :)

Also, if you are a Flash Developer, please make sure to email us a link to your game (so it will be there at launch.) Submissions can be sent to gamesubmissions@thefanawards.org before launch.

As always, it’s a community effort and I just want to say thanks to the people on my personal team and the amazing volunteers for making it possible.

David Perry.

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to make sure you all knew about the complete site overhaul we have had to Game Industry Map recently!

In fact, so much has changed that we are calling it GameIndustryMap2.0!

The old version had just over a thousand companies listed. The new one has just over 10,000!! And not only that, but we have linked to each company their games and videos. We have over 20,000 games listed (with their box artwork) and almost 5,000 videos of those games collected from YouTube (viewable in the site). But, it’s still no where near complete, so we need YOUR help to build this up.

We need you to add any games that are missing, add videos you find on YouTube, and add any companies and their logos to the map. It’s easy to do, just sign up here: http://www.gameindustrymap.com

As if that isn’t enough, we have also created a YouTube page where we show off a sample of our latest exclusive videos, including the full presentation of the new Lord of the Rings Online expansion, Mines of Moria, recorded by our own roving reporters! Check it out if you can, it’s very cool! And feel free to subscribe to the channel to get the latest updates as they arrive. You can view them all here http://www.youtube.com/Gameindustrymap

I hope you all find these sites of help to you, and if you have any suggestions for how we can make the main site better, I’m always open to ideas. Just let us know by emailing suggestions@gameindustrymap.com

I look forward to seeing you all on the site soon!
