Old magic, shapeshifters, and Mayan prophesies... In our next Midnight Brew we'll have the pleasure to chat with paranormal author Jessica Andersen, who will talk about her sexy paranormal series, The Novels of the Final Prophecy, and the first book of this exciting serie, Nightkeepers.

The Novels of the Final Prophecy: Nightkeepers

Blurb: According to the Mayan doomsday prophecy, time ends on December 21, 2012. In Nightkeepers, the last king of an ancient race of magi must team up with a sexy Miami-Dade narcotics detective in order to reunite his scattered warriors and fight the gods of the Mayan underworld. Wielding ancestral blood magic, the king must choose between his duty to avert the 2012 apocalypse and his love for the woman who is the gods' destined sacrifice.

As a Miami narcotics detective, Leah Daniels never knows how her day will turn out. But she certainly never expected to be strapped to a stone altar, the human sacrifice in an ancient Mayan ritual meant to coax up a demon from the underworld. Or that she'd be saved by a handsome warrior-priest king who claims to recognize her from his visions...

Jaguar Strike wishes he hadn't made the mistake of reuniting his fellow warrior priests, or broken the law by saving their chosen human sacrifice. Now, he has no choice but to join forces with Leah and invoke dangerous magic in a death-defying race against the end of time.

Are there any songs that you hear them and all you can think of is hot and naughty sex? Conjures images of sweaty bodies bumping and grinding? Or at least makes you feel all sexy?

In today's T13 I've listed (with videos) those 13 songs that make me go "Oooooh... Hmm.... Yesss...".

Today I'm totally excited. :D Today's T13 is already up at the Midnight Moon Cafe. It's about...well, I'll let you find out. But I promise you, chicas, it's too hot to handle. But then again, it's summer, so it should be HAWT!

Also finally we're having Ms. Jennifer Armintrout at the Café too. Woohoo! I love her Blood Ties series. :D And she's over at the Cafe talking about the last book on this great dark vampire romance series, All Souls' Night. Gosh, I love that title! You never heard of her?! Okay check this out:

--------

All Souls' Night (Blood Ties Series 4)
by Jennifer Armintrout

Blurb: I have reached my breaking point. And now I will not, cannot be stopped. With the Soul Eater on the verge of god status, it's time for me to take a final stand, even if it means losing everything I love. Even if it means losing my life.

I've got plenty of power on my side, and some I didn't know I could count on in the first place. But it's nothing compared to the army of the undead the Soul Eater is building up. And time is running out.

They say that good always triumphs over evil. I hope that's true. Because the odds aren't in our favor, and the fate of the world is in our hands.

May Day starts with a bang when we receive one of Silhouette Nocturne's authors, Michele Hauf. She has penned such wonderful paranormal romances like "Familiar Stranger," "Kiss Me Deadly," and "From the Dark." On our upcoming Midnight Brew, Ms. Hauf will be talking about her latest release, "Racing the Moon," which will launch Silhouette Nocturne Bites, the first short story in ebook format.

Here's a blurb:

Dean Maverick, werewolf, is racing against the full moon when his truck breaks down in the middle of nowhere.   A sexy female mechanic named Sunday assesses the damage--and Dean.   Sparks crackle between the two of them; they cannot hide their attraction to one another.

It'll take a day for parts to arrive; Sunday offers the spare bedroom above her shop for him to stay the night.   Dean doesn't have a day, or even a few hours.   When the full moon is high in the sky, his inner wolf will emerge--unless he can appease it beforehand with sex.

Being a familiar isn't easy for Sunday--sex is a conduit for demons to enter the mortal realm.   Most familiars can control this power, but Sunday can't.   Every time she climaxes, a demon bridges to this realm, and they're not always friendly.   But she can't deny the feral need to help slake Dean's lust.   And keeping the wolf at bay will see her safe from an attack--wolves don't like cats.

Can a cat and wolf get beyond their prejudices--and overcome their own problems--to bring the wolf to a howling submission?

There will be surprises, so don't forget to help us celebrate May Day at the Midnight Moon Cafe (http://midnightmooncafe.blogspot.com/) this Thursday, May 1st.

Urban fantasy author, Ms. Rachel Vincent, is releasing her second book on the Faythe Sander’s series, "Rogue," tomorrow Tuesday, April 1. To celebrate it, Ms. Vincent will be on this Thursday’s Midnight Brew! *wg*

"Rogue"

Blurb: Okay, so cats don’t always land on their feet

I know that better than most. Since rejoining the Pride, I’ve made big decisions and even bigger mistakes: the kind paid for with innocent lives. As the first and only female enforcer, I have plenty to prove to my father, the Pride, and myself. And with murdered toms turning up in our territory, I’m working harder than ever , though I always find the energy for a little after-hours recreation with Marc, my partner both on and off duty.

But not all my mistakes are behind me. We’re beginning to suspect that the dead are connected to a rash of missing human women, and that they can all be laid at my feet--two or four, take your pick. And one horrible indiscretion may yet cost me more than I can bear...

The first book on this great series, "Stray," came out last year. Check it out in case you missed it:

"Stray"

Blurb: There are only eight breeding female werecats left... And I’m one of them.

I look like an all-American grad student. But I am a werecat, a shape-shifter, and I live in two worlds.

Despite reservations from my family and my Pride, I escaped the pressure to continue my species and carved out a normal life for myself. Until the night a Stray attacked.

I’d been warned about Strays—werecats without a Pride, constantly on the lookout for someone like me: attractive, female, and fertile. I fought him off, but then learned two of my fellow tabbies had disappeared.

This brush with danger was all my Pride needed to summon me back... for my own protection. Yeah, right. But I’m no meek kitty. I’ll take on whatever—and whoever—I have to in order to find my friends. Watch out, Strays—’cause I got claws, and I’m not afraid to use them...

------------

Don’t they sound great? Well, guess what? Ms. Vincent will be giving away a copy of her latest, "Rogue."

So drop by this Thursday, April 3, by the Midnight Moon Cafe ( http://midnightmooncafe.blogspot.com/ ). You’re going to love this Midnight Brew!

"This is a great sensual paranormal romance. The tension between the two sizzles and each time they make love is more intense than the last. Even though this is a short story it reads like a full length and will leave you wanting for nothing." - 5.5 Magical Wands - Enchanted Ramblings

"Enduring Promise is a well-written and thoroughly enjoyable read. The mixture of Evan/Armand and Gisele and their struggle to reach each other is sure to draw you into their story.

Tempest Knight, is sure to please with this novel, and is not to be missed. Enduring Promise is loaded with lots of plot-thickening additives, so curl up and enjoy. The story progresses so smoothly that you won't find a good stopping point. So make sure you have a couple hours to devote to it. This reviewer will be looking forward to more from Tempest in the future.

The history and setting of this story makes you feel as if you were observing from a distance. As you are reading you can't help but feel for Gisele and Armand. These two lovers have traveled through time to be together but only from reading Enduring Promises will you ever know whether they have succeeded." - 4 clovers - Kwips and Kritiques
