Do You Make This Mistake in Life? A person who claims to know everything can’t learn anything new. She (or he) won’t open her mind to learn new things. As a result this person will prevent herself (or himself) from gaining any new wisdom. I’d argue that pride is a learning disability. The person who says that she (or he) doesn’t need a book on becoming great is making a mistake in life. A person with this type of overconfident attitude can’t learn anything new. This person feels that she (or he) already knows-it-all and as a result, can’t learn. Don’t make that mistake. Be humble and open to learning and growing. Give the book, Discover Hidden Secret Wisdom a chance. This book is a fantastic resource for anyone looking for self-fulfillment and techniques for becoming their greatest. A friend of mine is seeking help with quarterly notes(progress notes), care plans and MDS. I regret to say that I don't have any experience with nursing homes. Most of my experience is in-patient psy. I have some experience with in-patient rehab.
Is there any website or books that I can invest in to keep myself up to date? Thanks
Post your ideas and suggestions here. Danny

Danny P., here.
I have a question for you:
How do you plan to promote and celebrate TR week?
I'd like to hear your ideas, suggestions, and plans.
Post them here.
In the past, I've heard RTs claim that their administration doesn't do anything to recognize or promote TR during this week.
I think this is a time for us, RTs, to promote what we do. It is our profession and our responsbility. Tell me your ideas and suggestions. Share them with everyone, right here. Your friend, Danny P. And don't forget to check out my web page:

Dear Recreational Therapist (or allied professional), You’ve got to read Me, Myself, and My Autism Here’s a summary: Boys just like any children, want acceptance and love. This is especially true for a young boy named, Steven. He wants acceptance and love, too. He wants to feel like he belongs, too. There is one thing different about Steven. He has Autism.
This book will help you learn more about people with Autism. You'll develop a better understanding of them and what you can do to help.
Me, Myself, and My Autism (a children’s book) is written by Mr. Jamie Quaranta. It’s a semi-autobiographical depiction of his childhood experiences as a boy growing up with a social and intellectual disability. Jamie is a very successful person. He has an undergraduate degree in library and information science from Southern Connecticut State University (New Haven, Connecticut).
It’s illustrated by my good friend, Sami Wnek. She’s an artist and a recreational therapist!
Children should read this book. I’m a strong advocate for promoting literacy and encouraging children to become avid, life-long readers. However, don’t make the mistake and believe that this is only a children’s book. I believe anyone who helps children should read this book, especially teachers and therapists. You never know when you may come across a child with Autism. It’s best to be prepared. I’m ordering my copy right now. You can get a copy of it at my Amazon link: http://astore.amazon.com/hiddensecretwisdom-20/detail/1442154470 Your friend, Danny Pettry
