Arts Council continues outdoor Movie Series with Endless Summer
HOUMA- The Houma Regional Arts Council will continue its outdoor movie series with Endless Summer on Friday August 15th, at twilight at the Bayou Terrebonne Memorial Park Amphitheatre (across from the Waterlife Museum 7910 Park Ave). This will be a free family-friendly event, open to the general public. Bring chairs, picnic blankets and refreshments.
Directed by Bruce Brown, this 1968 surfing documentaries follows two young surfers around the world in search of the perfect wave, and ends up finding quite a few in addition to some colorful local characters. "An interesting, intelligent and well-narrated movie; no matter what age you are, if you like surfing (and probably if you don't) you will find this movie interesting as it travels around the world examining cultures and people as well looking for the "perfect wave"."
Adverse weather may change the date of the screening. Please call 873-6367 for up-to-date schedule information. This project is supported by funding from the Houma Downtown Development Corporation.
