Ok so it was not the best venue we've ever played in but we were welcomed and treated well and in this day and age thats something. Many thanks to the staff at Bar 22 and of course the festival organiser Toby Robinson.

So we took to the stage as Monochrome for the first time since 2001, we played 8 original tracks and the planned 3 Dm tracks to fill the set out and give the crowd a break from stuff they did'nt know. The 3 turned into 5 after 2 encores.

So the setlist was this:

Metropolis
Sum Of The Parts
Latex Pro
Below
Liberating Souls
Karma Overkill
Resist
Move On

Wrong
Just Can't Get Enough
Enjoy The Silence
Personal Jesus
Suffer Well

Heres a cpl of reviews:

Following on from the last blog work has continued on the tracks mentioned previously, both musically and in preperation for live performance.
Work has also started on two tracks from the Innocent Ep, Innocent and Believe as we felt they had the most potential of the songs written at that time. Innocent has been significantly updated and a snippet will be placed online shortly for your feedback.
Finally dates have been organised for gigs as both Monochrome and our alter ego Black Celebration. We will be playing as BC with support from Eraser (top Erasure tribute) on the 25th of April 09 at the M Club Crewe (
www.themclub.co.uk  ) and at The Limelight Club Crewe on Sept. 19th 09 ( www.crewe-limelight.co.uk )
As  Monochrome we will be supporting Novus Uk on part of their national tour at the Limelight Club Crewe on the 14th of June 09 and discussions are ongoing to play at the Crewe Live 09 festival at the end of May, details as soon as we have them.

Until next time.

Since the last blog work and rehearsals have on the four tracks previously mentioned. On top of this versions of new tracks have been progressed and early rehearsals of these have begun.

As a taster for the direction some of our music is taking we have placed a sample of Karma Overkill online. We would be very interested to hear your comments, both good and bad.

We are also looking into venues to perform in later in the year, these will probably be a mixture of smaller venues and larger one's as a support act. As soon as dates and venues are confirmed details will appear on this site.

Finally, for those of you with longer memories the very first track ever written by  Monochrome is also in the process of being revisited. The next blog will tell you what it is.
Untill next time.

Current mood:  animated

Hi all.

We have started this blog, which over the coming months will be updated on the area's the band are currently working. We would if possible also like your feedback (both positive and negative) not just on this but on the site as a whole, potential venues to play at and opinions on new new tracks as and when we upload them. The blog will be updated bi-monthly and the first entry is below.

29th December 2008:

Over the last couple of weeks a plan for 2009 has been put in place and so far four tracks have been completely remixed and updated in preperation for both a demo release and live performance (look out for bulletins as a gig has already been booked). The first four tracks completed are Sum Of The Parts, Resist, Liberating Souls, and Karma Overkill which were selected for the first treatment as we feel they reflect the diversity we have in the tracks we write. The current four range from slow paced ballad to upbeat dance.

Work has also started on rehearsing these for live performance and this will continue throughout the coming weeks as more tracks from our catalogue are remixed, rehashed and generally tinkered with. Thought has also been given to the visual output of our performances and again some of these will be communicated through this blog. (naturally we will be keeping some things under our hats)

See you next time.
