Current mood:  amused
The new Say Anything album is fucking amazing.
Seriously best song on the album is "spores" and "No Soul".

" I was watching Demolition Man
And talking dirty to a fan who likes my band
When I took a chance and called you up
You said you'd visit but you just don't give a fuck
So I had to put you in your place
And leave a look of shame upon your face
Stood accused for the last two years
I got off, I got off, I got off

But I
Still miss you more, I miss you more than I
Ever did before you left your spores inside
Of my empty core, a baby's got your eyes
Now I miss you more, I miss you more tonight

Then you threw me up against the wall
The city shook to meet our mating call
All the anger and the pain poured forth
The act itself defied the blessed source
When you were finished you were done with me
And you explained it wasn't meant to be
I should've known it when you howled his name
You got off, you got off, you got off

But I
Still miss you more, I miss you more than I
Ever did before you left your spores inside
When your gaze adorned the whore you left behind
Now I miss you more, I miss you more tonight

I miss you more tonight
I miss you more tonight
I miss you more tonight
I miss you more tonight

You know I still know how, how much your love costs (alright)
You know when I peel back your layered lip gloss (alright)
You know I still know how to fuck your eyes crossed (alright)
It's your loss
It's your loss."

epitaph

I went on Warped Tour for a few days, I got to hang out with all of the Epitaph/Hellcat bands on the tour and see their sets, make sure that they were holding up in the 120 degree weather! If an opportunity like this ever presents itself, I reccommend that you take it! It was so fun and seriously I was soooo bummed out...The last day I was on, they postponed it due to rain. :( One of the highlights - I finally got to meet this band who has influenced me immensely and I told them that! I basically said their music played such an influence on the person I am today musically.... If it weren't for them I'd be listening to mainstream rock like Hinder / Creed and wearing oversized UFO pants. PHEW!

I'm so stoked, I've was lucky enough to get to head out on Warped Tour for a few days.  Brett was kind enough to give me the days off from work (even though it's been quite hectic, due to the many records we have coming out - it's the summer rush)  But anyways, I jumped on the Bad Religion bus and got to chill with those dudes.  Let me give you a rundown.

7.10 - went to work...hung out and then headed to Vegas at around 3ish...Watched the show from the balcony, they absolutely killed it, I was so excited to heard NEW DARK AGES.  They were filming a myspace "the list" show.  Good stuff the crowd seemed really into it, New Maps of Hell came out that day.  I gambled, lost, won, lost, won, lost, and then won - 700 to be exact.  I then booked a flight to Arizona w/ Dave.

7.11 - I arrived in Arizona.  Dave and I rented a car and then headed to the show.  We got there a little late missed the matches :( saw a bunch of random people, hung out at the Epitaph booth for a short minute, watched Gallows and Parkway Drive (PWD KILLED IT!!!!) they're such a crazy good live band...It was like 120 degrees so I spent a lot of time on the bus, trying to stay cool.  Hung out with Bad Religion and then watched them perform.  GOOD STUFF like always.  By the time I finally got to bed it was like 1AM, I slept on the front of the bus, I basically passed out right away.  It was a decent night sleep....

7.12 - I woke up at around....6am...ready to go...sort of...It's like this when sleeping on ones couch you need to be the first one up and the last one to bed.  It sort of is a bummer, but you know what? these guys were doing me a favor and I really appreciated it.  Anyways, I walked around while everyone set up - we were in New Mexico, BLAH!!! sucks...I took a ride with Ronnie BR's sound guy/part time TM and we went to the hotel and I got to shower and chill out for a minute, I was EXHAUSTED.  Brooks woke me up and then I let him do his thing in the hotel room and I walked back to the venue, aprox. 4 miles...IN THE BOILING SUN!!!! Hung out @ the Epi tent, saw PWD, ETF, and Bad Religion good stuff.  I basically didnt eat the entire day, so by the time 10PM rolled around I was dying...luckily the runner brought us back some food! So I ate, watched ferris bueller and then passed out.  Baker was giving me a hard time about going to be early, haha but it was all in good fun...im old what can I say.

7.13 - We arrive in San Antonio, TX...So I hung out with Chris from Vanna for a minute, saw the boys in PWD, ETF, IAG, Matches, GALLOWS and it was a good time.  I love hanging with all of our bands, they all did a really sweet job playing live.  The Matches are seriously the best dudes ever....I realized not everyone has a runner and my steak isn't cooked properly ;) I watched Chiodos with Brooks, befriended the boys in Bayside, learned out 501 levi jeans...(who has button up jeans??!?!?) After BR's set and some BBQ -  I then decided to hitch a ride with Greg.  So he drove us half way and checked into a hotel (WOOHOO for no longer sleeping on a bus and for taking a shower!)

7.14 -  we left Georgetown, TX - the midway point between San Antonio and Dallas at around 12noon, found some food and then headed towards warped.  Got there, watched Chiodos and the Red jumpsuit apparatus, hung out with Ziggy, and then BR took the stage.  It was awesome because I watched the show w/ Ben from Parkway Drive.  They're really nice and their new album will own you all.  Drew (BR's Merch guy) proposed to his GF on stage, goodluck to them.  We left promptly after the show and headed towards a store where greg found some shoes, learned about different types of shirts people where when traveling in the tropical and subtropical regions, learned that malaria's is the disease that kills the most people, above AIDS and Heart Disease...interesting! We ate, saw Audrey from buzznet, I let them borrow some money because her driver lost his wallet...they needed to get back to LA from the middle of NOWHERE texas...listened to some classic country....I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN....NOT.  And now I'm sitting in this hotel, watching some random Robert Downey Jr. movie.

I've been trying to check my emaisl and stay on top of things, But it's hard on the road...I sort of don't want to come back because I like not haivng any responsibility what so ever...just being responsible for myself is nice.  I like my traveling partner...I like the guys in Bad Religion, I like talking with Bayside, I like meeting new people, I like epitaph bands, I love music.

I am made to work at the office though.  It's just hard because this vacation has been so amazing, I sort of never want to leave.  Tomorrow is the last day.  I am going to take a crap load of pics since I havent at all!!! I need to make up for it.

Anyway- this is long and no one will read this.

So living out in LA - so far...it's been a very different experience, somewhat surreal I guess.
Whenever I go home and hang out with my home friends I feel out of place (even though if you ask them it's like i never left - which for the most part I guess I really haven't changed that much and my home friends are still my home friends) But it's weird because as time passes I keep in touch with them less and less, we really have nothing new to say to each other, we work long hours and go out occassionally, but as long as we know we're all alive and well, then hey that puts my mind at ease.

But through the past 3 years I've moved 6 times (7 if you count living on a friend's couch for a month), had 1 accident (which totalled my car), 9-12 roommates and several house guests, 1 pet (who just died recently), 2 tattoos, and have had like a good handful of my friends come and go...it sucks. People move out here wanting more out of their lives, trying to make and and then after a few weeks, months, years, they move back - realizing this wasn't the life they wanted or it was too expensive...It's starting to bum me out. I know I'm going to stay out here as long as I have my job. It's somethign I really want to do and I really can't see myself passing up this great opportunity, I have been and will continue to learn a lot. I am basically winging it seeing where I end up. Im too young to settle down.

But guess friends come and go, but I don't want to have a collection of people that I'm "FRIENDS" with and never keep in touch with...I can only do a handful of those...
LA is retarded and so are the people that come out here. Im including myself.

Anyway, I've been thinking a lot about my relationships wiht people. I seriously don't want to deal with some of this bullshit - I don't want to deal with people where I have to walk on eggshells - I don't want to have to pretend to like people - I don't want to feel obligated to share what I'm feeling just to be ignored because they really didnt want to hear it and were just asking to be nice - Im over passive aggressiveness - I'm over that bullshit.

I've been ridiculous lately I know this.
I've been stressed and depressed.
But I'm no longer depressed or stressed (or atleast AS stressed) - but instead im in that "not giving a shit" mood.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo - my ramblings have gone on long enough.

I love how they try and create sentences using the "URBAN" words...they sound so matter a fact....
It always makes me laugh...

"She became so excited about her new laptop and PDA that her friends knew she must be technosexual."

"Shit, Eric just gleeked all over my food!"

"We have a very stylish colonial-style his and hers walk-on floordrobe at home."

"Don't touch that wokka wokka plant. You aren't FF enough to resist its glory."

"Let me testosterphone James, it will only take a minute!"

"Bluetool: Heyyy, how are you?

Megan: I'm great, and yourself?

Bluetool: Oh, sorry Megan. I wasn't talking to you, I'm on a call. Bluetooth."

I am learning great words.......Im incorporating them into my everyday vocab.

I'm off to check my vitals  - aka myspizzle.

My gut is burning. Won't you find me some water?
Hey, just forget it can you bring me gasoline
and collect a couple forks, hold them three feet apart
and wait for lightning to strike to burn me up?
Cause I don't think that I've got the stomach to
stomach calling you today.
My head is swirling. It's been carried off in the sky
and where it lands is where is lands.
So I guess that I will get another head and then get on with my life
and leave you somewhere beneath the waves of time.
And I'll wear glass shoes and plastic wrap.
No, I'll just wear my insides.
You want to know who I really am?
Yeah so do I, yeah so do I.
Cause I don't think that I've got the stomach to
stomach calling you today.
Right now I am turning off the lights
cause I don't think that I've got the stomach to
stomach calling you today.

And you don't talk to anyone. And you won't look at anyone but her.
And I don't think she's listening. I doubt she remembers your name.

And you say, when will she notice me? And you feel like you're gonna break.
And you say, when will she notice me? And it feels like a hand grenade.

Man I'll never understand, everyone's living in the past.
Instead of forgetting her, you're always kissing her ass.

And you say, when will she notice me? And you feel like you're gonna break.
And you say, when will she notice me? And it feels like a hand grenade.

I know that there's not much to say, so I'll look stupid anyway.

And you don't talk to anyone. And you won't look at anyone but her.
And I don't think she's listening, but you still play that game.
But I think the best way of moving on is to attack,
'Cause she's just a hand grenade, so pull out the pin and throw it back.

And you say, when will she notice me? And you feel like you're gonna break.
And you say, when will she notice me? And it feels like a hand grenade.
Like a hand grenade.

I know that there's not much to say, so I'll look stupid anyway.

Like a hand grenade, like a hand grenade, a hand grenade.
