Current mood:  excited
Just giving everyone a heads up.

Matt is finally back in the saddle playing shows again.  In addition to holding down bass duties after joining TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION with Rich Hoak (Brutal Truth) and Dan O'Hare (engineer extraordinaire), his other project, HALO OF SNAKES is finally getting off the ground.

I'm holding down the bass, Joey Angel (Hey Angel, Belegost) is handling the vocals, GFA (Autumn, Passenger Train Proposal, Aim of Conrad, Murderkill 100) handles guitars and Brandon Wallace (Champion, I Hate You, hardcore drummer for hire) is behind the trap kit.  It sounds like a gloriously ill-tempered mess.

Halo of Snakes will be playing Marvelous Music in west Philly (208 S. 40th st) next Wednesday the 27th. The week after that, we'll be recording a demo and a couple tracks will probably make it on to our page.

Not playing shows for the past 2 years has sucked.  Many thanks to Rich, Dan, Brandon, Joey and George for bringing the rock.

Hey all,

I found a live set that will probably never otherwise see the light of day.  It's from a tour in 2004 when we played live on a radio station in Chicago while we were still a 5 piece.

I put up "Lend Me Your Brain" because it changed so much over the 6-7 years that we played it.  The way it is on that track is the way we played it live after about a year or so.

Anyhow, give a listen.  I'm suprised at how un-sloppy we were.

Then go to For Fans Of. Why do work or homework when you can read one person's travel recollections of a rock tour? Especially if the rock tour may or may not involve the band at hand?

Hey Everyone,

A couple things:  First off, thanks a lot for all the notes we've gotten.  It's nice to hear from fans and friends and it's meant a lot to us.  We've gotten quite a few, and in addition to being a tad overwhelmed all of us need to decompress a bit and think about the non-music aspects of our lives for the first time in a long time.  If we don't get back to everyone quickly, it's nothing personal.

Also, I don't feel like going through and editing our shows.  We are NOT doing this tour.  Luckily, the excellent You In Series was able to step in and save the day.  This tour will not suffer as a result of us not being on it, so you should still check it out.

Not sure where this started, but none of our old, defunct bands are playing shows, nor do any of us have any plans to initiate any such thing. Sorry, kids!

Behold the youth come down the pipe. All worked up. All spent up. All faces turned up. Overdone. I never met a traitor I didn't like, never criticized a turncoat written off in spite. Caught up on robbing Peter to pay Paul. Obsessively stabbing Achilles to kill it all. Jump on board and feel what  I've confessed, the small bus is leaving and will never be blessed. Pissed up the same flagpole once too many times. Blood on my shoes makes light of death and we mock the crime. Behold the youth. Sad again. Hair all fucked, with black eyes but untouched. But I could care less. I behold their resources. They get so far, and cause so much stress. Behold my own part. Unaware of where we start. But you've given up on giving back, and frankly I miss your heart. Behold our turncoat revolution that's doomed. Step one, a step undone. Behold our lifelong manifesto of failure assumed.
