Here are some quick sketches I made while looking at some stupid stuff with Pascal, and sipping a good grog...
Now , the owner looks less severe. Before she was maybe too much like out of "little house" character, or too much of a holy mary...heehee
She also has a more mischievious smile, which suits better to a woman who likes selling flawed items. I will try to make some color drawings tomorrow.

Today was a really quiet day, and we've decided with Pascal to draw somewhere...initially, we were thinking about going to Brocéliande, but today, we were surrounded by barriers, as " Tout Rennes court" racers have invaded our quarter...
No escape was possible with a car, so we just ended up going to the Saint Martin Cemetery in Rennes, to draw some graves. I was also thinking about doing it in order to get some ideas for a contest...
We were quite surprized to see many people were here. This cemetery is quite interresting, there are many celtic crosses, some really wacky tombs (kind of too much), and much more creepy ones, with hands coming out of the floor...we were thinking about drawing it but it was way too creepy. We wended up sitting in an alley, to draw the vault you can see on this drawing.
We stopped at one moment, at the weather was changing pretty quickly, and the afternoon was becoming windy!
Now, time for a good grog and a hot meal!

As many of you know, I'm not the kind of militant person...
But here I have to talk about something important.
If you haven't heard about it, Roman Polanski finaly got arrested for rape on a 13 years old girl. He made her drink alcohol, and gave her drugs. He pleaded guilty, for sexual relations with minor, in exchange of abandon of pursuits for rape and drug/ alcohol delivery to a minor!
then he escaped from the US, instead of spending the time required (under-required, innit?) in jail, and then flew to France.
Basicaly, he:
1 Raped a minor, and well, even if she agreed to have sex with him, she was minor, and not mature enough to have sex!
2 (it means pedophilian !)
3 gave her drugs
4 gave her alcohol
5 he escaped the prison

What would have happenned if a lambda citizen like us, made such crimes?
this citizen would have gone to jail, and probably spent the rest of his life there, he would have been pursued, and scorned and treated like a monster by people.

Now, I see that in France, many people are here to help Polanski. It is " amazing to see the ministry of culture, Frederic Mitterand, and Nicolas Sarkozy (our "mighty" president), blame the fact that Polanski got arrested, and will do their best to get him free! è_é
Seeing that we have such people for president and ministry of culture makes me sick...they are totally forgetting what happenned to that young girl, by helping Polanski, they fully deny what he has done to that girl.
I feel really ashamed to be french, i already was when Sarkozy got elected, and honestly, I am when I see what he makes daily, but here, that's way too much!
It makes e sick to see that many people make a petition to free Polanski, just under the pretext he is a cineast.
Boy, when i was a kid, i loved his movies, later, the Pianist moved me so much, but it doesn't change a thing to what he did.

If we are all equal, we should all be set to the same justice è_é

Hi there!

I will have a trip to New Orleans with my boyfriend, from the 6th of August to the 15 th of August!
the boys will probably want to have a quick road trip to Alabama, so please, if any of you have tips for good but not too high priced hostels, and good places where we can eat, nice places to visit...

for the first two days, I think we will sleep in the french quarter in New Orleans, but we don't know after that!

so it's an open place for suggestions!

thank you for your help, Liz

PS, YES MARK! I will visit the states a little! :)

ps: my list for my trip:
don't forget my passeport, sun cream, after sun cream so I don't look like a lobster, I musn't put my nibs in my handbag, unless I want to get arrested at the airport T_T, my new sketchbook I bought especially for the occasion...maybe anti-mosquitos?
