Current mood: vehement
This blog is about the argument of whether you are born gay or if you decide to be gay.
I have known that I was gay before I knew that there was such a thing. I remember feeling like I was the only little boy in the world that liked the other little boys around him. I remember feeling like maybe I was supposed to be a girl because only girls liked boys. I didn't feel like I was supposed to be a girl but I had never been exposed to gay people so I was confused. I felt very alone, like there was something wrong with me.
I battled this by looking alternative. I felt like there was something wrong with me so I made myself look different so that when people thought I was weird it was all about my appearance. I didn't want anyone to know that I was "broken".
I came out when I was 16. By that time I had come in contact with gay people and was in my first gay relationship. It only lasted a week but he insisted that I tell my parents. I thank him for that, who knows when I would have gathered the courage to tell them on my own.
So, if I knew that I was gay before I even knew what it was called how can I have chosen to be that?
I did not choose to be gay any more than a straight person chooses to be straight or a black person to be black. It is just how I was born. It is a part of who I am. It can't be changed or "fixed". There is nothing wrong with me. I am content with my life and who I love is really none of your business or anyone else for that matter.
People do not realize how hard it is to live as a gay person. To be hated by so many for something that you have no control over. It really is the most hated minority because people from every other minority hate us as well. Why on Earth would anyone choose to experience that if they had a choice in the matter?
According to Christianity it is "an abomination in the eyes of God". Why would God make me as an abomination? That makes absolutely no sense to me. I don't think that God cares who I love as long as I love them honestly. Would it be better if I were to pretend that I am in love with a woman just to lead a lie of a life? How would that woman feel if she ever found out that I was in fact gay? That, to me, would be "an abomination in the eyes of God".
Believing that being gay is a choice is a completely ignorant and antiquated opinion.
Try to remember the next time that you are gay bashing someone that they are a person, just like you. Who they love should not matter to you, the fact that they can love in a world that is so full of hate should be reason enough to commend them.

Current mood: okay
Why are you so thin? Because I was born that way. I am not anorexic/bullimic. I neither condone nor promote those actions and I feel very sorry for the people that do suffer from those illnesses. I eat a normal, healthy amount of food. In fact, you'd be surprised at what I eat and how often.
What brand of makeup/hair dye do you use? I use mostly MAC products. I have found them to have the highest pigmentation and the best quality. I do not use them as some sort of status symbol. The hair dye brand that I use is Special Effects. In my experience their colors last the longest and give the best results.
How tall are you? I am 6'3" in my bare feet. If you see me out I will probably be in platform boots/shoes so I will seem taller.
Why don't you respond to my messages/comments/picture comments? Unfortunately, when you accumulate as many friends as I have, that luxury is gone. If I were to respond to every one of the messages/comments that I receive on a daily basis I would never get away from the computer. I do not think that I am any better than anyone else or that you don't deserve a response. I simply don't have the time to respond to everyone. I am sorry. That does not mean that I don't appreciate all of the compliments and encouragements that I receive from you all. I really do. In a world full of so much negativity it is nice to get a compliment every once in a while.
What do your parents think of the way you look? My parents are amazing people. They are proud of me for living my life the way that I do and standing up against adversity. They know that I am happy with myself and they are happy for me. They have always been very encouraging and have always had my back when my individuality was challenged. I wish that more parents were like mine, they are what a parent should be.
When did you discover you were gay? I suppose I always knew. I remember being very young, maybe 5 or 6, and having a crush on a male play mate. However, at that time I didn't know there was any such thing as being gay. In fact, I thought that I was the only boy in the world that liked other boys. I did not officially "come out" until I was 16. My parents accepted it and did not make a big deal out of it. I am not ashamed of being gay and will tell you if you ask me. I am not one of those gay men that runs screaming through the streets that he's gay. Honestly, it's none of your business who I'm sleeping with.
Who does your makeup/hair? I always have and always will do my own makeup. I do not really trust anyone else to know the lines of my face better than I do. I have never had a makeup artist apply my makeup even when one has been offered. I color my own hair and do my own extensions. I do, however, go somewhere to have it cut. Trying to cut your own hair is a very trying experience, I have done it before. Now I go to Spyros at Bentley Salon in Tampa, Florida.
What do you do for a living? Currently I work in a nightclub in Ybor City, Florida doing the lighting and visual effects. In the past I have worked in Hot Topic management and Target, of all places. I am not a professional model. I have attended some cosmetology school and intend to finish it soon. Then I will be looking for work in the hairstyling profession.
As I remember questions I've been asked many times I will add to this blog.

Current mood: indignant
Why is it that people waste their time and mine requesting to be my friend just so that they can leave rude comments on my pictures?
If you don't like the way I look/who I am then why are you requesting to be my friend in the first place?
Calling people names from the safety of your computer makes you a coward, an ignorant coward.
If you have a problem with the way that I look or the way that I live my life, please, do us both a favor and move along. Leaving nasty comments on my pictures will not change who I am, if anything it will inspire me to be even more outrageous. I don't buckle under "peer pressure" and I certainly don't give a damn what you have to say about me.
Please get a life, find something better to do with your time. Perhaps read a book, culture yourself.
There are much more constructive things you could be doing with your time on the internet than trying to boost your ego by putting someone else down.
