You sucked pretty bad, and only got good towards the end.
You, 2007, sucked from day 1, which included shit with certain assholes, then you went ahead and picked off both of my Gpas. I am a firm believer in karma, and yes, you have redeemed yourself, making December pretty darn cool. 2008 doesnt have much to live up to, so being the year that I graduate and get out of brf, I expect it to be grand indeed. Welcome, 2008, graduation, Steven's Point (UWSP)  and all other good things to come.

The pill i take to make me numb
is 5 times smaller than my thumb.
I pop it in the dark abyss
and wait for dreamy blissfulness.

I lie in bed and float away,
forgetting troubles of the day.
vividly dreaming through the night
it's nice to know that i'm alright.

not to sound like a douchebag, but I just cant help but be excited for Sunday/Monday, which equals grampa moving back to the farm, and peace being restored to 'Wood Manor'.

Summary:
Old Arnie's been living with us for a little over 2 months; which may not seem that bad, but gramps has alzheimer's. Its not like he thinks his shoes are weasels or anything; its mostly just short term memory/ day/month/year/ and such.
Example 1: he thought my sister was the nurse.
Example 2: He is afraid to be alone, so he forgets if anyone is actually home. He starts yelling "anyone there? hey HEY HEY HEY!" and sadly, we must sleep with the doors locked because he'll come in and wake you up in his skivvie-jams at 9:00 in the morning.
and now, a polish lady, named Stella, will be living with him on the farm. She'll cook, clean, take him places, whatever.
so, for the past 2 days, hannah, my mom, and I have been cleaning his house, neigh, bachelor pad, so that Stella doesnt have a heartattack.
he's an 87 year old man, living in the world of Andy Griffith, so he obviously doesnt know how to use a vaccuum, clean, or cook very much.

once again, i hate to sound like an ass or anything, but its just too much mental stress; and i'm glad that it will soon be over.

sorry, no david schwimmer in this blog.

yesterday, hannah came over and we went out to my deck.
we attemted to tan for 1.5 hrs, after the sunscreen started sweating off, we went in muh pool. we brought out a cd player, and listened to Reggie & the Full Effect and TV on The Radio. after standing for 15 mintues, eating freezy pops, hannah decided itd be a good idea to play "jaws" (if youre unfamiliar with the game, its basically tag...in H20) i tried to tell her that it would be pointless to play, because we'd just be tagging each other back and forth. thats when the stakes were raised...to counting to 5 after you were tagged. it got to the point where i just ran from her in slow circles around the outer edge of the pool.
"you look like popeye"-Hannah
"...this is how i run in my dreams!"-me
after a few hours, we went inside, ate cookies, and watched two or three episodes of "A Haunting" on the discovery channel.

later that night, i ate with her family, yankee style, burgers and all. around 9 we picked up Eli, and went to hannah's house; where stoned little Eli was laughing at hannah's mom. we ate grapes then went to festival in the park. what a mistake. the crowd basically consisted of: twenty-somethings that graduated umpteen years ago, 40 yr olds, pre teens, and some ravers from the high school.

and now i find myself sitting at hannah's house, while Rachel, Ben, and Hannah are watching "The Witches of Eastwick", and talking in jewish voices.
i love my life.

holyshitholyshitholyshit.
that show was so amazing. fo realz.

it all started out a bit like this:

-drive to my cousin's house, and lay low for a while
-print off directions on mapquest
-set off for St. Paul (me, thinking that i'll end up killing us because i havent driven in that area before)

and much to our dismay, we found the place within 5 minutes of entering the city, and it just so happened that there was a $5 dollar parking ramp right next to it.

it was kind of small, and it was packed for the first half of the show, then most likely due to the heat, people slowly started leaking out.

it was such a fun show because for almost every set, all of the bands would come out and play a song together.
during The Snake, The Cross, The Crown's set, everyone came out and did a cover of "The weight" by The Band. heh, it was cool.
Manchester Orchestra was just really good
Piebald ended up being really funny. during one of their last songs, the lead singer got on the shoulders of the other guitarist, and they started playing guitar together. unfortunately, i grabbed my camera just a few seconds too late.
Mewithoutyou....ohhh my god. they were just so good. i got more than a few videos of Aaron dancing :$ as well as a short video of the last song they played, with the other bands coming out in a conga line.

it comes pretty close to the show last july (peeping tom/the flaming lips) but i almost wanna say that last night was better. hmf.

Current mood:  content

-we were taking a shortcut through an alley, walked through a group of guys, and on my way through i tripped, then spilled and broke a guy's beer. i yelled sorry, and all he said was "yuuu shpilt my bier!"

-a small group of us were walking through another alley, when all of a sudden i saw a guy turn around with his wang wang in his hand. (he was peeing, derr) his friend said something to him, then he said "whhhaaaat, its hessentag!"

-i tried to use my debit card at a store in a small town, and the lady didnt know what it was/what to do, so wade was like "es ist ein CREDDD-ITTT-CARRDD. masst-errr-carrddd"

-wade bought lederhosen. anyone who spends over $100 on leather has other plans in store...

-we were riding the [public] bus, and all of a sudden the driver slammed on the breaks. my hand slid from the handle above, and i fell forward into an old man; but he caught me...around the waist.

-i was at the HR tent, when a random german guy came up to me and when he found out i was american said "ohh, i know english. you can talk to me! i will listen! say something"
*odd look*
"where is your boyfriend?"
"he is nonexistant."
"ohh." *confused look*
(the key is using "big" english words)

-jon got sandwhich-grinded by two drunk guys.

-katie and i were at the beach club grounds, and a middle aged guy grabbed our hands and shook them. then he told katie that she had nice boobs. hahahahah

-darryl and valentina had to get a ride from a stranger at 3 am in the morning beacuse their taxi never came. darryl's comment about the situation: "i thought we were gonna get raped!"

-whilst canoeing, lori and i spent basically the whole time making fun of wade.
"dood wtf wade, stop rowing like such a pussy. you've got 4 inches of your paddle in the water."-me
"...yeah, i bet wade would like to paddle Morten."-lori

-while canoeing, wade said "so who wants to sing showtunes? the sound of music is quite fitting."

-the toilets are weird. i dont wanna talk about it.

i can think of anything else right now...but if i do, i'll add it later.
