Well after working in Dubai which hads its ups and downs we are now in Bangkok!  Pradeep your friend from Nepal took his first flight to China to start his own inport business. He had to fly through bangkok. It just so happened that we were in Dubai and could get a cheep flight from Dubai to Bangkok so we hooked up here. Then there is Bumm our clown friend who lives in Bangkok. The past day and the next few are going to be filled with shopping, sightseeing and a lot of happy times. Yesterday we did the weekend market and visited Uncle Monk then went to our favorite outdoor bar. Today it is off to the computer market, clothing market, uncle monk and to see a live band. We still have to visit the royal palace and china market. So much to do in such a short time. Who needs sleep, that is what a 20 hour flight is for.

Well, were off again..... Ronnie and Stacy.

I am trying to upload photos but its not working. I will try again.

Today started public schools. I was asked to do a show at a local girls school for opening day. There was about 300 girls there. They did a short music program and then I did a half hour balloon and magic show. Then it was back to the office where I made balloons for about another hour and a half for the staff. At that point we returned back to the hotel and took a nap. the mall shows are going well and I did meet a man from Calf. who is doing bubble shows here www.bubblesmith.com a very nice man who is also staying at the same hotel. Friday is our last day here and of the Dubai Summer suprise. It is also the first day of there weekend (fri-sat) Sunday starts the work week. So Friday we will be very busy. Saturday at 5:30am we will fly to Bangkok to see Bumm and Pradeepman. What a fun time that will be.

Take care, see you all back in Cleveland!

Current mood:  enthralled

Here we are almost one week and we still have not seen much of the touristy things.  We did get out yesterday with friends from home who are living and working here.  What we did see was one HUGE construction zone.  There is so much building going on here it is unbelievable!  What has been constructed is way beyond extravagant and grand.  We went to the sea and stuck our toes in but did not swim because it is about 106 in and out of the water.  Ouch!!  We did take a dip in the rooftop pool at our freinds flat.  Too cool to be swimming at 35 floors up!

Internet time is rather pricey here. As is alot of things.  The mall we are working at is brand spanking new and many stores are still not opened.  Many people have shown interest in FLower and hiring him in Kuwait and here in October for a Coldstone Creamery Grand opening.  Insha allah it will all pan out!

We are working 4 hours a night from 5:30-9:30.  The entire time we have to teach people how to make balloon flowers and FLower is doing 2 10 minute magic shows on stage.  We have alot of the same kids with their parents coming to spend time with us making balloons and just enjoying FLower's antics.  We also made 4 HUGE balloon flower baskets for the main stage.

There are lots of entertainers from all over the world here.  So we have made many new friends and contacts.  The government foots the bill for the entire 2 month long festival and the entertainment agencies take care to hire the talent.  Some people have told us that it is best to get your profile and info to all the agents here if you hope to be asked back, so we are networking our butts off.  This is quite an awesome experience!

Well we have limited internet time.  More to come.

All our best!  Love and Peace~  Stacy and Ronnie aka FLower Clown

Current mood:  happy

Well Dubai sure is a superlative!  Everything is so extravagant and big!  Ronnie started his run of shows last night.  He did one 30 minute magic show and the remainder of his time did was he does best...making balloons for huge amounts of people.  While he made the great balloon creations I was teaching kids and adults how to make balloon flowers.  The theme is Flower Surprises, so we fit properly.  However, the event organizer would much prefer him to be teaching balloons instead of just making them for the kids.  Most of the kids did not want to make their own balloon, so what to do.  He did what he enjoys most, those balloons that children the happiest.  Pissin off the powers that be....but the kids should be happy first and foremost!   Differing views on happiness perhaps!

He has several requests to do birthday parties, grand openings and even a school show in Kuwait.  We'll see what comes of it!  If people are willing to pay for him then why not?!  We have made friends with many different entertainers from all over the world who were also brought in for the festival.  We did hear that the same entertainers are rarely brought back more than once.  But who knows...we love to return next year and do this again.

We have not ventured much further than the AC comforts of our hotel and mall.  But with some friends here we may finally get out and see some things...maybe more AC malls.  As this is the hottest time of the year here there is not much more to do.  You step outside and instantly your body starts condensating.  It is miserably hot!!  Way more humidity then is necessary thanks to the ocean.  But we are thankful everyday for AC.

More news to follow later.  Hello and best wishes to all.

  Regards~

Current mood:  tired
We have arrived in Dubai to 100 degree temps, sand and luxury.  We flew Emirates Air from JFK to Dubai and it was a great trip.  Everyone seems very nice and gracious.  Ronnie starts working on Thursday so tomorrow we will have to blow up LOTS of balloons for his stage backdrop.  We are very tired now and just wanted to drop a quick note.  We will send more news in a couple days.

  Love and Peace!

Well we made it back home Monday night after some 30 hours of traveling.  We were quite exhausted, so we slept for a good 5 hours before being wide awake at 5am.  Then we cleaned the house from top to bottom and back again for about 12 hours.  We had a beautiful new bathroom when we came home, thanks to the hard work of our friend, Rich, who slaved for 100 hours while we were away.  His hard work looks gorgeous!  Since returning home we have caught up on some sleep and are jetlagging much less.  Time for some hard work so we can make some money to return next year.

We had the best trip yet!  We had the honor to make some truly great new friends and share some incredible experiences.  Our friend, Piya Dhammo Piku, the Thai monk, graced us with some really heartful gifts and the joy of telling us he will name our first child.  How do you turn that down?!  We will remember him everyday and strive to live our lives closer to Buddha, as he does.

We are so thankful for another new friendship, Dej Bulsuk.  He originally brought McDonald's to Thailand some 25 years ago, after being in school in the States and realizing the popularity of this fast food fad.  He was 50% owner in McThai for 22 years, before "retiring" to do what he really loves, teaching and composing music.  When we saw him he was always working and impacting people's lives.  Which he has told us he will do for us, if we wish it.  He has many important friends across the world and he took time to introduce Ronnie to some of them.  He is so impressed with Ronnie's talents and personality that he has offered to introduce him to all the mall and hotel owners, ambassadors, ex-Prime Minister's wife and many more influential people, who could use his talents.  He tells us that Ronnie will have to get lots of TV exposure, which he will make happen with some of those friends, and then we will need to hire a manager to control all the bookings that will roll in.  We have decided to take him up on this offer and are planning to make our return to Thailand early next year, to hopefully give birth to the baby that we will concieve very soon (Insha Allah, God willing), and test the business waters.  We plan on giving it a 4 month try.  If the bookings roll in as Dej promises, then we may live in Thailand half a year, during the slow season here and then return home for the summer bookings.  The future plan is to live in Thailand full time in the next 5-7 years.  This idea has also been blessed by Piya and our stars.  It is as if this is too good to be true, but it may really be true!

One of the highlights was our wedding in Nepal.  We were so touched that our friends, Bumm, and Shant and Tischa came to celebrate with us.  And the 120 others who attended the party surrounded us with love and well wishes!  In the end, it was a truly magical moment. Thanks to Pradeep, Sina, Bina and everyone else who chipped in to make it a huge success and fun for all.

Ronnie is beginning the arduous task of going through the 9900+ photos and videos from the trip.  We are trying to dwindle that number down and chose some of the best to post on this page.  For those who live near we will have them  printed so that you can enjoy them close-up.  It will be worth the wait!

Another highlight was meeting Sanu, the owner of the Fair Tade factory, Chandra Handicrafts in Bhaktapur, Nepal.  We spent alot of time watching the women weave shawls, knit hats, make paper& dye silk yarns.  We are proud to have begun a working relationship with Sanu, as we bought some lovely hand-made Batik print bedcovers, Chinese silk meditation pillows, Flower CLown wall hangings and much more.  Some of these items will be for sale on Ebay.com in the next month or so.  The women who work there are all widows,  have children or disabilities and they all make a very decent wage and have health insurance.  If you are interested in any of the items we have for sale, contact us and we will get you out some photos.

As we close we wish everyone love and peace!  We will post those photos very soon.  Stacy and Ronnie

Ok, we are at a much better internet shop with a much connection.  So we will attempt an update.

We returned to Thailand on Friday with our Nepali friend, Ashok, in tow.  He had actually planned to come here for hoilday before we made it to Nepal.  the more we thought about the time we had planned here before returning home we knew we needed more, so we changed our flight.  Ashok was very thankful, as it was his foirst time out of Nepal and he was a bit nervous.  We helped to ease his nerves a bit.  Then on our first full day here, he happened upon an old friend from Nepal who works in the south for a tailoring center.  So he took Ashok along with him on his return to Koh Samui, one of Thailand's most beautiful islands.  He has been having the time of his life, racing around on speedboats and lounging on the beach.

We on the other hand have been taking it easy!!  Thetemps are way into the 90's , so most days are spent in AC.  We are off to watch the fliming of Thai game show/comedy show tomorrow with Bumm.  That should be fun!  We have not made alot of big plans for the next couple of week so on this trip.  But we will see what happens!

We are now off to wait for the return of Ashok.  More to come soon.  We have some exciting news to share when we return home...no babies in the oven yet!!  Other good news!  Be well!
