13.07.2009: New line-up

KOLDBRANN have recruited two new live members for the coming live concerts. Folkedal (session for SARKOM) and Voidar (HJARNIDAUDI) will handle the drums and the 2nd guitar. KOLDBRANN now consists of:

03.06.2009: Hole in the Sky confirmed - BOA Metal Open Air cancelled

KOLDBRANN are confirmed to Hole in the Sky 2009! KOLDBRANN will perform at the Garage venue, on Thursday the 27th of August, with a.o. NIFELHEIM and NECROS CHRISTOS. Full line-up for the rest of the festival at holeinthesky.no

The BOA Metal Open Air 2009, scheduled to take place in Klingentahl, Germany, on the 25th and 26th of July, is cancelled due to economic reasons. The whole festival is cancelled, not only KOLDBRANN. More info at boa-metalopenair.de

KOLDBRANN has chosen to end the collaboration with it's drummer through 7 years, Fordervelse, due to internal disagreements. Fordervelse has played drums on all of KOLDBRANN's releases and concerts to this date, and had a significant impact on the development of the band.

Shortly after this occured, G. Antonsen stated that he wants to step down from his position as 2nd guitarist of the band, as he no longer feels that he has the necessary capasity to continue with active touring. Antonsen has given his all for KOLDBRANN since 2004, both on stage and recordings.

The remaining KOLDBRANN are grateful for all the work the two of you have put into the band through the years, and we wish you the very best for the future!

These changes pose some challenges for KOLDBRANN; however, the creative forces in the band are still intact, and there are no plans to retire whatsoever. We are currently working hard on finding suitable replacements, and we've already found some very promising candidates.

We will return with an update as soon as the last pieces of the puzzle are in place!

KOLDBRANN recorded two obscure cover songs this winter, summoned in the woods of Bjørkelangen and at 0579 Hjarnidaudi. Paying tribute to the Speed Metal Goats KORROZIA METALLA (Russia) and BOMBARDER (Bosnia). A Norwegian Hail to the old Eastern European Cult. These covers will be released on an exclusive 7" vinyl by Agonia Records this spring. Release date and more details will be announced shortly. In the meantime; the 'Russian Vodka'-cover is now uploaded to our MySpace-site. Водки дай!
 

We would also like to use this opportunity to hail SHINING and SARKOM, and all fanatics who showed up at our European tour in February/March. Next up is the INFERNO FESTIVAL here in Norway, where KOLDBRANN will be performing at the Rockefeller venue, on Saturday the 11th at 18.15. The concert will be filmed for a DVD-release, and rest assured; nothing will be saved! Bombs, flames and pyro from Hell, and a few other surprises are in line as well. A devastating lesson in ugly and uncompromising Black Metal!

09.02.2009: Inferno Festival 2009 + Hamar (Norway)

KOLDBRANN is confirmed for this years Inferno Festival! Expect a hell of a lesson in uncompromising and ugly norwegian Black Metal! KOLDBRANN will open at the Rockefeller venue on Saturday the 11th of April (at 18.15!). The concert will also be filmed for a DVD-release.


KOLDBRANN will also be performing at Hydranten in Hamar (Norway), on Saturday the 7th of March, along with our allies in SARKOM and STILLHET. This will be the last date of the Stigma Tour 2009. European dates below:

01.12.2008: Festivals 2009

KOLDBRANN is confirmed for Barther Open Air 2009. The festival takes place in Barth, in the north of Germany, on the 14th & 15th of August 2009. Other bands confirmed are amongst others URGEHAL, SVARTTJERN, TROLLECH and DARKENED NOCTURN SLAUGHTERCULT. More festivals for next year will be announced.

21.11.2008 - KOLDBRANN / SARKOM, Radar (tidl. Club 3), Asker / NORWAY
22.11.2008 - KOLDBRANN / SARKOM / SVARTTJERN, Elm Street, Oslo / NORWAY

The concert at Elm Street in Oslo will serve as a release party for KOLDBRANN, SARKOM and SVARTTJERN. "Stigma: På kant med livet" has been out since August, and both SARKOM and SVARTTJERN will release new albums in November. Entrance: 100 NOK. Age limit 20 years. Doors open at 21.00 (first band on at 21.45).

The concert at Radar in Asker (Norway) is all ages, so no alchohol is served. Entrance: 50 NOK. Doors open at 20.00 (first band on 20.30).

Originally a European tour was planned for this November, but the booking agency Icon Music (Portugal) managed to fuck it up. As a cause of this KOLDBRANN has been announced at several other concerts/festivals this fall, but only the above mentioned dates will take place this year. A new European tour is planned for February 2009.
