Hey guys!

Due to MWT's recent finale, we dont have the need for our van anymore.

1999 Chevy Express 1500 V6...She runs great...

270k, but only 20k on the transmission...  It's a touring Machine!  Will run for a long long time...

If you or someone you know is looking for a new van, send them our way for more details!

Hey everybody,

unfortunately, this train is coming to its final stop. After almost 8 years, 3 vans, 4 records, and a countless amount of awesome shows played, Manwithtarget is packing it in. I can’t even begin to express into words how much this band has meant to me. I’ve learned so much and made so many great friends through this experience. We’ve played with some of our favorite bands, taken the stage across the country, met some of the most talented musicians around, and most importantly, had a blast doing it. No matter what, Manwithtarget will always be a part of us, and that will never change.

Okay. Now you probably want to know the reasons as why to this is happening.

I started this group a long time ago out of the ashes of a couple local bands. At the time, I hadn’t touched an instrument in about a year. The guys I started this band with were so energetic about playing music that it gave me a boost I seriously needed. Getting back into playing music made me feel so alive. It was just so much fun that I never wanted to stop. As time went on, members came and went, but the original idea was always there. To have fun playing music, and to push it as hard as we could. The more we pushed, the more shows and tours we began to play. This began to wear on some members, and keeping up became a problem. Anyone in a band will tell you that trying to change your members while moving at such a fast pace is a pretty hard thing to do. Especially if that member you’re changing is a singer. I think we did pretty well considering. However, the one thing I never wanted was for this to go on longer than it had to. There comes a time when you have to assess the situation in front of you and make a choice. Do we want to be that band who keeps going no matter who’s singing or playing in it? Or do we say ‘after 4 vocalists, 3 guitarists, 2 drummers, and a uncountable amount of good times, it’s time to pack it in.’ My purpose has always been to play as many shows as possible simply cause I love to do it. No two people are exactly the same, and for some people in this band, music comes second. As the sole original member of this band, I feel it’s time to throw in the towel. It kills me to do it, but I’d rather go out on a high than end as a band struggling to stay together. The 4 of us remain great friends, and I’m sure we will continue to play music in some way, shape, or form. I know I will.

We will be playing one final show here in our hometown of Ajax on Sat, May 30th @ the Ajax Legion. All the details are in the shows section here on our page. We hope you will come out one last time and bang your head till it breaks off.

I hope that clears everything for you all. I would just like to say one more time how grateful I am for all this band has given me. I will cherish everything it has thrown my way and will always remember the great times had.

Fists up, Hearts out.

Greetings friends,

Welcome to another edition of ‘What the hell is that band doing now?’. Sorry about the lack of Bloggage. We’ve been rather busy. That’s right. Just like Jason Voorhees, we never really die.  We just come around every once in a while only to get beat the fuck up and do it all over again. Well, it’s that time again, bitches.

We’ve posted some hilarious studio vids for your enjoyment. This will be a regular occurrence now that recording is underway. Shed a tear or point and laugh as you watch all of us struggle to pull off some of the insane new material we’ve written. As always our resident guitar shred professor, Dave Sheldon, will be manning the board for the recording. I’ve been told that he has kicked the dirty pedal up to 10 for this devil seed of an album. Like I stated before, this record is going to rip your face clean off of your skull. When you put this cd in your player and press play, it will feel like someone just hit you in the back with a shovel while another person was kicking you in the balls with cleats on. It’s going be that ridiculous. All kidding aside, the 4 of us are thrilled that this material is going to see the light of day soon.  We’ve worked really hard on it and we feel it’s the best representation of what this band is all about.

A couple tours have been lined up for the next little while as well. In late April we will be hitting the road with our good friends in the band We, The Undersigned for a week of nutty punk rock mayhem and rad times all around. Then in May/June we’ll have the honor of getting down and dirty with the most brutal band to ever come out of Thunder Bay; Norris. If you haven’t checked these bands out before, do yourself a favor and go do it right the fuck now. Both bands can be found in our Top 8. Peep the dates on the page and come out to party with us when we roll through your town. It always goes down smooth.

That’s all for now.

Peace
Evan/MWT

K!

For those of you that don't know, I (Dave) play through DOYLE guitar cabs. They might be the best guitar cab in the world. I haven't been everywhere in the world, I'm aware, but I sure as fuck have covered alot of ground... These are the best I've seen and heard.

The owner of the company, Mr. Doyle, happens to be a close friend of fine. He Has created a studio in his factory that is dedicated to giving young bands the chance to record on pro-quality equipment...for free.

The Catch.

They must perform act of community service, document and log them, and upon completion, get a free day of recording in his pro designed, pro equipped recording environment.

Unheard of right?

Exactly. He is (as far as I know) the first to offer such an amazing concept. Using music and bands as a mean of giving back positive vibes and birthing positive results in our community...

THE SHOW

As the studio is free, it's funded by Mr Doyle through the profits of his company, Doyle Audio and Custom Enclosures, and has been for several years. This show is to help create a means to keep the studio open!!! All proceeds from the door will be going right back into the studio as a way to keep the doors open to the young bands in and around the area, and to help plant the inspirational seeds of giving back to a community that has given us (and them) the freedom to create music on a daily basis.

Come party with us and help support a cause that makes sense!

Well, another year has passed us by, and yet another has started (as they tend to).

2008 was a great year for MWT.  Aside from great shows/tours, and some rad times with our best friends, we recorded a new CD.  Some of you bought it.  Some of you didn't.  Some of you wanted to, but didn't have the money. Some of you had the money, wanted to buy it, but based on collective histories with money you didn't think we'd spend YOURS wisely...so you bought a Deep 'n' Delicious instead...

Regardless.

For those who don't have the ability to listen to the FATA MORGANA EP whenever you wish, now you can

The EP in it's entirety has been posted on our myspace page.  Sweet.
Now you can rep the MWT at home, work, or on your blackberry while waiting to pick up your kids in the pre-school's foyer.  Tech-mology....and the meeeeejya...making MWT the new Tickle Me Elmo...

You can't DL FATA MORGANA though  (le Sigh).

Why?  Cause we need your $$$ to pay for....yes....a new CD!
Since tour, we've been holed up...Riffing feverishly!!!
Tracks have been written for a new full length, and might even feature a cover song from one of our favorite bands!  Any guesses?
Either way...  BUY FATA MORGANA SO WE CAN PUT OUT A NEW CD!!!   lol

That's all for now my little Droogies...
Bug Stu to post FATA MORGANA lyrics...
None of us have'em...maybe Casey...

;)

Greetings friends,

It’s that time of year again. The time of year for family and friends. The time of year for giving to others and showing loved ones you care. And most importantly, it’s the time of year to rock out and get completely fall on your face wasted at our yearly Christmas Bash!!! Dec. 13th, here in our hometown of Ajax, at the only place willing to put up with our noisy asses, The Top Shelf sports bar. This year we will be joined by our good friends in the band Endast from montreal, as well as a number of other awesome bands guaranteed to break your eardrums open like an advent calendar. You can check all the details in the shows section, or check out the flyer in the photos section. Make sure to check this show out. You don’t want to be that one person at your work who wasn’t there. You don’t want to be that one person who can’t get in on all the cool conversations about the show that will most likely go down for several weeks after the show has happened. And you certainly don’t want to be that one person who misses us play some of the new songs we’ve been working on. Oh yes! We have several!

And what’s this?? Manwithtarget has made a music video??? And it will be posted on their myspace and facebook pages within the next couple of weeks??? Better keep checking back just to see if we’re lying or not!!!!! Muhahaha!!!!!!

That is all for now. If we don’t see you at the show on the 13th, you can eat a bag of turdwiches!!! But, whether you’re at the show or not, make sure that you still have a safe and happy holiday!

Peace
MWT

Well, how the hell is everyone out there doing? We here in the Target world couldn't be better. We've been home from our east coast tour for some time now, so we figured it was about that time to stop in and let you know what's goin down.

First off, we had an unbelievably awesome time touring the east coast this summer and we'd like to thank everyone who helped us along the way. We made some really great friends, met some really cool cats, and partied with some of the craziest people we've ever come in contact with. Big shout outs to our homeboys in the band Neverdie from Moncton, Bruno and the staff at Poele Steakhouse in Edmundston, the nutbar kids in Sydney, Jay in Halifax, Heather at the Mercy Inn in Liverpool, everybody at Chiefs in Dalhousie, the amazing fans in Campbelton, and, of course, our brothers in Endast. There's no other band I'd rather tour with. Thank you for keeping us from going insane with your medieval voices, gut busting humor, and sweet sweet riffs. We must do it again soon.

Now, since we've gotten home we've been scrambling to make some cash. Tour hit our wallets pretty hard this time around, so we've been keeping low for a while. This also means we're extremely bored. And what do we do when we're extremely bored? We write music!!! We have demoed a bunch of new tunes and they seem to be coming out as smooth as Casey's hairless face. However, this does not mean we won't be playing in your area over the next couple of months. We'll be doing shows across Ontario for most of October and November, so keep your eyes and ears open for the details.

And last but not least, it's that time again. Time to party here in our hometown of Ajax at a little bar called The Top Shelf. It's a very special evening for we are celebrating multiple band member birthdays. All the details for this amazing event are located in our shows section here on our Myspace. It's going to be an incredible night filled with birthday beats, rad bands, beer, and hilarious insults directed towards me and my hair. We hope to see you all there.

That is all for now. I'm sure we'll do this again soon.

Nope.  But how sick would that be?

We are, however, a recent addition to the Presonus website as professional users, and share the top of the "M" catagory with the material girl herself.  We we just as surprised as you are, but we all knew the lyrics "72.5 pink balloons to the sky" would propel us to internation superstardom as timelessly credible artists along side the likes of Madg...or Frank Stallone.

...ahem...

heres the link!

http://www.presonus.com/artists/professional-users/default.aspx?page=M

We're all really excited to come home from tour to play TOP SHELF with the local crew one last time before summer fades away for another year.  Check the upcoming show section for details on door times and how much money we're stealing from you this time...  I dont think it's gonna be too much this time...although, going out on tour for 3 weeks and not paying rent for our jamspace before we left might make us up the door charge from 5 bucks to "Donations of Livers, Kidnies and other resellable organs" to sell on craigslist, to those in need so we can make rent.

and my mom was upset I opted out of med school to join a band...

SEE MOM!!!  I'm Still making a difference!

Ya, we're on tour. Hanging out in the east coast right now, in Berwick Nova Scotia. Things have been good so far; we've been fortunate enough to be well received everywhere we've been (good thing people tolerate our noisy asses). We've met some friends along the way, and we can't thank them enough for their help and support out here. Not to mention the ladies and gentlemen we've been friends with forever who are always gracious enough to let us invade their homes, eat their food, and defile their bathrooms. On top of that, we're touring with some of our favourite people in the world. The Endast guys are an incredible band; infinitely talented and cool as shit. This is the best.

Oh ya, we put up a link to buy our EP online, so if you can't get it at a gig, you're more than able to order it online! Hook it up!
