Well folks,
That's it for Red Rover. We had a fantastic final show last week at Cal's Liquors. Thanks to all our friends who showed up and cheered us on and sang along one last time. So I tried to say it between songs at Cal's. But I'm no good at the mushy stuff (P.S. OUR LAST BRAND NEW SONG UP).

Jenny- When we were trying to start a new band after Citizens on Patrol, we were all shocked that you'd even consider joining our ghetto operation. But you jumped right in, tolerated all of our "that's what she saids" and even said some humdingers of your own! it's amazing that you didn't front a band sooner. You're great and a goddamn powderkeg onstage. Live it up in Montreal. But when you're back to visit, you better believe we're gonna play again.

Eric- You went from dancer, to guitar player to goddamn song writer. We could always count on you to play something none of us would have ever thought of. Sometimes I forget how far you've come since you took off your dancing shoes and put on a guitar to fill our barry-shaped hole. We're all still very sorry about the squishing of your glasses.

Adam- One of my greatest accomplishments as a medical student was recruiting my best friend from class to join the band. We hypothesized about what a keytar would be like in a band 4 years ago. Then you got one and it went from funny gimmick to the honest-to-god centerpiece of our band. Without your technical knowhow and patience, we couldn't have recorded all our songs. There'd be no RR without ya, dude.

Phantom- The first show we played might have been your high school graduation party. I told you this before and I'll say it again- when I look back at the happiest times of my life, writing songs with you over beers at 2pm will be up there as some of my happiest. We wrote some catchy tunes, and without you translating my caveman grunting to actual notes, I woulda never known that a guy that can't read or play notes can still write music.

So that's it for now. Red Rover started as a cartoon dog that appeared in a dream and a feverishly scribbled drawing on a piece of scrap paper one year ago. We've come a long way, baby! I'm off to Madison on Tuesday, but we're leaving you with our last song, "Why Don't We Fight?" We played it live at Cal's and recorded it a few days later. Hope you guys like it. Keep on listening to the music, I'll rotate the playlists every once in a while.

And stay tuned! We shall play again, goddamn it. Goonies never say die.

I just wanted to thank everyone who showed up to our first of two shows yesterday night. A big thanks to Elle Diabla for letting us nobodies play her birthday show and thanks to the Mutiny for letting us freak out in the back. And massive props to Zebra, Automatic Stinging Machines and the Hired Goons for excellent sets.

The show was great.... better than any of us could've hoped and the goddamn crowd was fantastic. As always, we're forever indebted to our dear friends who faithfully come out to see us play, and thanks to the new people who got into the tunes (like those strangers who wandered in off the street and proceeded to sing along to our songs?!!).

Anyhoo, we're all just dizzy with out great last night was. We'll have photos and maybe even a VIDEO?! of us at the Mutiny shortly.

Till then, PREPARE THYSELF FOR THE FINAL BATTLE AT CAL'S LIQUORS, JUNE 1ST 10PM!!!

rock till the asthma sets in,

Yes believe it.  Disintegration is imminent.  So come see us before it's all over!  You have exactly two chances!   We hope you can come to the Mutiny on may 10th, it should be tons o' fun and there's no telling who's gonna get punched in the crotch.

......now with flavor crystals!!

yes!! adam, our deadly keytarist has remastered Didn't I Tell You Boy. Marvel at it's improved quality!!

Also enjoy some ridiculous photos of our last recording session in the pictures section. See? We're real.....not just emotionless cartoons. Also we're declaring ourselves New Wave. We're getting rid of the Indie title since we chose that mainly because we recorded our songs in a basement.....which probably makes us Garage.... but that' the wrong part of the house. If Basement was a choice that's what we'd choose. Damn you myspace for forcing us into your square pegs.

Anyone else have a comment on this irrelevant issue? The internet is making us all dumber.

thanks for listening.

Yes, it's a Hannukah treat, 2 new RR songs!!  We hope you like em!! Let us know what ya think.  We're in serious talks about when we might show ourselves to the world around us, so yes- Red Rover will appear live at some point in the not too distant future.

Until then, enjoy our music and dream of mystical goblins.

love always,

RR

Hey dooods!!!

We just finished another song!  This one's called "This Much Is True."  We hope you guys like it.  And we got another sweet baby called, "I Believed It" coming soon!  But we've reached our Myspace max of four, so some decisions are gonna have to be made.  We also added a new bass track to "Didn't I Tell You Boy" that will assuredly make your naughty bits rumble.

Gods be with us.

Hey gang, so the new song is up, enjoy.  Like I said, RR plays it sloppy and loose, so the version up now is actually slightly different than the one up earlier today, so hope you dooods like it.  We got another sweet baby in the cooker that'll hopefully be ready in a month or so.  Till then, listen to us and tell all your friends to listen.

That's all an american can ask for in this age of drive-by shootings.

Two major events besides the coup in Thailand.

First, our website www.redrovermusic.com is quietly assembling under the cover of night.  There's not much on it yet and there still some tweaking to be had, but the hull of the mighty ship is nearly complete.

Second, we totally recorded a new song over the weekend, and it's AWESOME.  Future generations will call "Tell me Tell me Tell me" the first Red Rover booty shaker.  We'll have it up here for planet earth to hear soon enough, so be patient and prepare thyself for the RAWK.

love always and forever,

Red Rover

Hi everybody,

We're RED ROVER and we're glad that you've decided to come to this page.  We just started writing and recording music and we're very excited about it all.  We're so excited that, we're just gonna post whatever we make whenever we make it.  So stay tuned for new songs, the existing songs getting monkeyed around with and other wonderful surprises.  Sloppy and prolific is the goal.  We'll be working on the prolific part, scout's honor.

the offical Red Rover website is coming soon, so we won't be so reliant on "the man" and his myspace.  Ah who am I kidding, we might even be the man.

Okay that's it for now!  God bless us, every one of us.
