a sincere thank you to all who attended our open mic at the Ashland this past wednesday. it only being our second one, we were surprised to see a full room of both music lovers and artists. everyone who performed was absolutely moving and wonderful.

well september has been a fine month for this little miss- celebrating a fellow musicians cd release, sharing the stage with another beautiful songstress, and for the first time ever, having the support of a full band. thanks thanks thanks to those who made it out to a show. for those who haven't, september is not quite over and one more chance remains.

my good friends at the EP Theater are part of the Pilsen East Performance Festival in which I will be performing on Sunday the 28th at 4pm in the Fire Arts Garden behind the theater. (it's FREE too!) if you can come by a bit earlier fellow Kilo Records artist Miles Benjamin of All Things Lucid will be playing an acoustic set at 3pm (a rare experience you do not want to miss!). come support Pilsen and Chicago arts!

hello all,

well, we are back from the studio and ready to show you the music, the scenery, and the experience we had down at Dockside. the album was recorded in four days (two and a half days of tracking and one and a half of mixing), a true miracle in itself. we are now in the process of tweaking the mix and choosing the final song list for the record and a release date is still being decided upon.

until then, check out the photos, the new blog (www.racheleeve.com and click on "enter the website"), and if you like what you hear on myspace, you can preorder the album at racheleeve.com as well. we are still in need of funding for the final mastering and pressing of the album, so every little bit helps.

heads up for all of you chicagoans, as the fall is filling up quickly with performance dates. for everyone else, don't you worry. plans for video releases and regional performances are underway as well.

ps. you will notice I'm sure, but the reasons behind the fact that I personally do not exist in any of the dockside photos is because I was the one taking them. now I know how my mother felt all of those years taking home videos and photos of us kids and never being seen.... so whenever you see me, you might want to snap a pic and send it over!
