Saw this on Lo-Fi Saint Louis website. It's a video of this guy's basement collection of Vintage Macs.

Not only are the Macs impressive, but the guy's basement is also nicely designed as well. :)

Finally got converted to the TV show Heroes. I've been resisting cause I don't really have time to watch TV right now as I'm trying to get my Warcraft characters to 70. :) But my best friend convinced me to watch the last 2 episodes with her and I liked it alot. *sigh* Not enough hours in the day. Though apparently 178,000 other people on MySpace, Friendster, etc., already really love the show. Interestingly enough, that's more than Star Trek has! Try searching for your favorite TV show and see what fascinating people also have excellent taste. :) CheralynFind me on Wink! http://wink.com/cheralyn--profile

All I can say is, Wow, it looks incredible. Saw the news about the announcement made by Steve Jobs at Macworld 2007 today and have spent all morning thinking about how I might need a new phone in 6 months. :) Chris Ziegler has some great photos of it here on engadget. Take a look and drool. :)

Most of you probably don't know this but I'm crazy into World of Warcraft. I currently am working on my 3rd level 60 character. It's just two weeks until the expansion comes out and I can't wait. I've added the trailer to the Burning Crusade expansion on my profile, under Interests, or you can check it out directly at YouTube or on Wink in my collection called World of Warcraft Videos. It's a collection of videos or movies made in the WoW universe that I liked. I didn't make any of them so don't worry if you don't like them as much as I do. :) You're welcome to add more to the collection if you like. Anyway, just wanted to share my excitement with you. Also to warn you that in 2 weeks I might disappear into the Outland for awhile. j/kCheralyn Get your own Wink Me button

Last week I finished reading War and Peace. Let me say that again, with feeling: LAST WEEK I FINISHED READING WAR AND PEACE!!If you've ever read the book then you'll understand the need to write that sentence in caps. The book is a bear to get through. I almost gave up a few times but I'm not a quitter and if Tolstoy could keep slogging through it, then I could too.To be fair, it's really just the first 50% that was difficult for me. By the half-way point I was hooked and it was a race to get to the end. My advice - If you can make it through all the philosophical discussion on fallacies of historical analysis and concentrate on the romance, then you're home free. :)So, what did I do after finishing the book? Well, as a true child of the internet, I first went to the Wikipedia entry about the 1812 war between Russia and France. Then I logged onto World of Warcraft and created a character named Natashka in honor of one of the heroines in the book. Then I was curious to find other people who had read it, so I decided to do an interest search using Wink People Search for anyone who had cited the book as one of their favorites in their profiles. So I searched for War and Peace in the "Book" field and....voila....over 23,000 people liked it enough to put it on their profiles! Even more interestingly, the top results included a Russian Duchess, a robot from Robocop, Mr. T., and a late-nite talk show host. Wow, what erudite people....er....robot....er....It's actually really fun to find people this way. I had a great time looking at their profiles and discovered, not too surprisingly, that the Russian Duchess was friends with lots of other Russian nobility, the Robocop robot was chummy with Dick Jones, and Mr. T. is pals with David Hasselhoff. Well, the Mr. T/David Hasselhoff connection wasn't as obvious, but think about it - it still totally makes sense. Well, I'd better get back to my other light reading of the moment - Marcel Proust's In Search of Lost Time. I'll let you know when I finish that one too. Cheerio!Cheralyn Get your own Wink Me button
