Hello,

Here is the latest in news and updates:

I.   VOTE FOR SWANN SONG!

I have been voted into the Ourstage contest "top 10" in the acoustic category for the month of July.  (For those of you not familiar with Ourstage, it is an online contest where fans vote for their favorite indie artists' songs in various categories.  Each month, the number one songwriter in each category is awarded various prizes and music industry opportunities.)   This month, my song Swann Song has made it into the Top 10.   Now YOU can help me out by going online and voting to make Swann Song 1!  All you need to do is register an email address and start "judging" in the acoustic category.   This judging only lasts until Tuesday 7/31 at midnight.  It only takes about 10 minutes and it would really help a lot.   Here is the link:  http://www.ourstage.com

Thanks for your help!

II.  Thanks to my recent recognition at Ourstage.com, I have been offered a performance slot at the Virgin Festival in Baltimore featuring an amazing line-up including The Police, Modest Mouse, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Amy Winehouse, Regina Spektor, Interpol, Smashing Pumkins and many more.  If you will be in the area check it out: http://www.virginfestival.com/2007/index.html

III.  What's on my mind?   There is a new interview posted here:  dramanonymous.com.

IV.  There are a lot of new tour dates up on the website for the fall including shows in the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Northwest.  Visit the website for details: www.chrispureka.com

There will be even more dates up in the next few weeks, so be sure to check back!

V.  Finally, many of you are familiar with my friend Gregory Alan Isakov.  We have done a bunch of shows together in the past year.  He just released a new record last month and I think that it's pretty darn amazing.. brilliant lyrics, beautiful melodies, and wonderful songwriting.  It's called "That Sea, The Gambler" and it's now available online here: http://cdbaby.com/cd/gaisakov3

I will keep you posted about the Ourstage contest.
Thanks for listening!
