Howdy!
We had a full tilt boogie gig at the state theatre!  Opening up for The Musical Legend David Allan Coe,  The night was magical, the band played together like a well oiled machine!  The crowd response was terrific.   The sound and light crew were Fantastic. Fastgun also jammed with Fast Fred (harmonica)  Skynard, The Outlaws,  that guy played the harp like I never heard!  After a sweaty, rockin, 45 min set we heard thunderous applause! (makes you feel good), As i left the stage Mr Coe stuck his hand out to me and nodded his head with approval.  What a night!
We watched his set and we were blown away at the songs, and his voice is awesome!  He mentioned during Please Come To Boston the difference in snow up there in Denver, and snow in Florida.  He made a funny!
Well yes i did ask him to sign my old Tele and he did, What a great songwriter and a kind man!
We are going back to the State Theatre in April to open up for Dickey Betts (Allman Brothers) hmmmm, there is room on my Tele!
Peace and Love,

While Barb and I were on Sabbatical with our Daughter's family in
California, unbeknownst to me, my keyboard player and drummer decided to enter ANOTHER contest.  So we're getting ready to taxi down the runway for our return trip and the phone rings, it's Ted, "Hey Donny, I submitted Arizona Blue and Ain't No Cowboys in NYC to 103.5 for a chance to open for Blake Shelton at Ray J after the ACC Championship Game on Dec. 6th and the station chose Arizona Blue!"  So please excuse me for asking, but would you please go to:
www.us1035.com/pages/battle_bands.html
and vote for us?  Again, sorry  for the inconvenience, but I guess these guys just don't want to give up, God Bless 'Em!!

Hello Friends,

Happy Labor Day!  I know darn well that we are the hardest working folks around.  Summer is almost over and we're coming into my favorite time of year.

We want to thank the Good Lord for the gift of music and the chance to share it with you.  We feel very blessed to be a steady working band.

Thanks to Gary Newman for filling in with us while Keith was on vacation, Dude, You Rock!!  We also felt honored this past weekend to celebrate Sonny Lovell's Birthday, he could've gone anywhere to party, but chose to come be with us!!  "He don't need no Rockin'Chair!!"

We have added a Benefit to our Schedule, October 5th at the Eagles for the Veteran's Hospital at Bay Pines, it will be a chance to catch up with some other musicians and we're all coming together for a good cause.  Family friendly atmosphere, so tell all your friends.  God Speed to our troops and God Bless all of our Veterans.

Thanks again to all of the folks who come to see us play and to the Club Owners who put up with us!!  We couldn't do it without you!

Blessings,

Donny, Babs, Kieth, Jim, and Ted

 Howdy Everybody!

Long time, no Blog...  First of all we want to send our thoughts and prayers to Keith and Bonnie MacBay for the untimely death of their daughter.  We love you!

We have been SO Darn Busy!!  We have added a couple of new venues to our schedule:  The Stage Bar on St. Pete Beach and The Bent Elbow in Largo.  Many Thanks to Dave and Crew for welcoming us.

And how 'bout those "RAYS"?!  They are on a roll, feels like Pennant Fever here in Tampa Bay.. Hmmm, since I've been here, the Bucs won the Super Bowl, The Lightning won the Stanley Cup, maybe it's time for some World Series Action!!

You may have noticed a new face in the group, That is Jim Daniels (you'll have to ask him about how he got his name and for him to show you his tattoo).  Welcome aboard, Jim.

And Finally, Barb and I would like to thank all of our friends who helped us during our time of transition, we have a nice, comfy crib with a yard for Sheba.  HOME!!

I'd like to thank all of our friends and family from Cali to Maine, & Canada to Europe for your continued support .

God Bless,

Donny and Fastgun

We had A Great time last night at Biff Burger, Made some new friends and saw some old ones!!  Special thanks to Larry and Cathy for their persistence!!  Thanks again to George, Troy and the Staff for everything.  (Their open-faced roast beef sandwiches are the BOMB!!)

Hours away from the Greatest Game of the Year!!  Our house is rooting for New England, in memory of My Pops, who was from the Great State of Maine and a huge Patriots Fan and because they've been undefeated all season.  We've opted for Southwestern Cuisine to pay homage to the Great State of ARIZONA!!

Sorry about the negative blog last time, but sometimes you just have to vent!!

See you at Sneaky D's This weekend, (thanks for the marquee, Diane).

God Bless,

Donny & Babs

Current mood:  pissed off

There we were on our way to Kissimmee, Fl to the Cracker House Gig, Babs and Me, driving down the road and singing to each other, when I received a phone call from our drummer, Keith who was already at the Cracker House.  There was a DJ set up on the stage where we usually play.  Confused, Keith asked the staff why there was a DJ and they replied that Fastgun had Called and cancelled two weeks prior.  NOBODY, repeat, NOBODY from FASTGUN made that call.   When they attempted to contact the DJ, he was unavailable.  We were not compensated in any way.  I told the Boys to kick the dust off their boots and to get home safe.    I have learned in life not to burn bridges with people, but these folks just torched it!!  Good-Bye Cracker House.

Our sincerest apologies to any of our family, friends, or fans who traveled to see us in Kissimmee.

Love  ya all,  See you at Biff  Burger on the 2nd of February.
