Warrior: Gift of Sight is the name of the graphic novel/miniseries. The first book is titled For Such a Time as This, the second part is Eyes to See and the third is Ears to Hear. If you are familiar with Frank Peretti's Present Darkness series of novels you will quickly understand this book. In W:GoS our heroine can see the two worlds overlapping...reality and the spiritual realm. Dora is a teenage girl who is just trying to cope with life in high school while maintaining a life of integrity and keeping her faith. It all seems difficult enough until her friend, Desi, begins to tailspin into despair and the marching hordes of hell nearly enslave her entire campus. Battle ensues, culminating in a showdown between Dora and the demonic prince who lords over her hometown; she must win--her friends very life and soul hang in the balance. All this, and only in book &035;1.
The book would likley be classified as speculative fiction, which sometimes blurs the line with horrific content, as anything involving angels and demons might. Book 1 (For Such a Time as This) will be released promotionally and prior to the finished graphic novel (a compilation of books 1-3). The current timeline is loose. We hope to release by years end (end of summer/early fall 2008) with the rest of the novel completed within the subsequent 6-12 months.
I am almost done writing the full series and artwork for the first installment has begun. I also hope to enter the Comic Book Challenge (http://www.comicbookchallenge.com/) which is basically the American Idol for comic book titles--I WILL NEED ALL THE VOTES I CAN GET IF I MAKE THE ENTRY LIST!!
