Thanks to all of you who showed up on Monday. I apologize for the late cancellation of the meeting. At the time, I had not received any response letting me know that anyone was planning on attending. I have two meetings with high school groups where I plan on signing up a bunch of kids, and then we will plan on meeting next Friday (October 5, no school) at noon. Pass this info along to a friend, but please, please, please let me know that you are planning on attending so I know how much pizza and soda to get. Thanks! See you there!

To whomever stumbles across this. It is a new year, and there is new direction for the Albion VolunTEENS. I have been working on getting information out to the area businesses to get funding (primarily for t-shirts) and commitments from area organizations who will offer volunteer opportunities (either on a regular basis, or one time events). Now I just need some kids who want to make a difference in their community to join the effort. Please consider coming to the informational meeting. We will be discussing the direction that we want to take as a group, as well as some feasting on pizza. E-mail me if you plan on coming so that I can know how much pizza/soda to get. If you cannot make the meeting, please send me an e-mail anyway, and I will sign you up to make sure you get a t-shirt and we match you with an organization that you want to work with. Finally, keep Oct. 27 open, as it is Make a Difference Day. We will be helping out the elderly by raking their leaves. There is also a possibility that we will be helping out with a Blood Drive.
