Hey lovers.

As you can see by now, The Defectors will hit Norway in late September! This tour will include gigs in Tromsø, Oslo and Bergen, and the guys are looking so much forward to this. It WILL be ROCK !!!

Besides that, a tour south of the border - Germany and France - is also in progress. So look out for more info SOON !!!

Please let us know where YOU would like to catch/feel/inhale/touch/listen to/LOVE The Defectors in Germany or France (or in an even stranger country than that).

We have recorded our first single as a brand new band. The song is called Bloody Bloody Mary (You drink my wine - I drink your blood). It will be released on the French label Rigolboch Ricordz.
We need YOU to help us doing the cover for the single. Mort is already working on the artwork - but we need a cool and BLOODY picture. the ingredience should be:

1. A girl.
2. A glass.
3. BLOOD.

The song is about the ULTIMATE DRINK. The one where you let your girlfriend do your booze and THEN let her bleed into a glass... to make a SWEET cocktail. It's some kind of a vampire cocktail song. "The next drink is in you" is mentioned in the lyrics.

+ Think about the the title of the song.
+ Find your camera OR an old photo in your photo library.
+ Take/find a photo - showing the making of this fine drink.

IF you're in on this project - please send your photo to: mortharder@hotmail.com. The photo must be large enough to be used as a 7" cover....

April 22nd 2009:

Hell'O sweet things!

I'm happy to tell you all that theDEFECTORS are on a roll again.
A new guitarist has been kidnaped to the band (more about him soon) and the band is ready to do shows again.
This January theDEFECTORS did thier first local show in 18 months. It was a test show to find out if the guys where still alive. The answer was NO! They kicked ass. ALSO on the wild audience...

NOW theDEFECTORS want more.
On May the 15th they will appear at the Gutter City Festival in Copenhagen.
And on July the 30th they will take on a local festival called Den Grimmeste Festival.

These are the confirmed gigs - but I am working on a whole lot of stuff to put in between the two festivals above:
A new 7" is in progress.
A new FREE album will Haunt you soon...

The classic Defectors song IT'S GONNA TAKE SOME TIME has been sold to the TV series ENTOURAGE. It appears in the episode: Vegas Baby, Vegas!

The Defectors share the soundtrack with such acts as: Jane's Addiction, Elton John, Frank Sinatra, Busta Rhymes, Gorillaz, Bloc Party, Jimi Hendrix, Wolfmother, The Doors, Queens of the Stone Age, Gnarls Barkley, The Eagles,  Rob Zombie, The Ramones, Muse, The Libertines, Kings Of Leon and Ted Nugent.

Martin Budde: "Even though we'll get extremely rich now, I'm sure that the guys will be pretty much the same down-to-earth people as they've always been."
