CURRENT 93 DISCS:

Many people have asked about the issues
with the Current 93 remixes...

We WILL have the repressed and newly mastered version sent out to
all customers who have already bought the discs. They will be sent
directly from Jnana in Canada - expect them to arrive in the coming
month to 6 weeks. All future orders from our shop will include the
extra discs.

As a footnote to this issue please read the following
from Durtro -

'Somewhere along the production line an error
crept in to last month's 2CD reissues of IN MENSTRUAL NIGHT and
LIVE AT BAR MALDOROR. CD1 of each title was meant to consist of
remastered versions of the original two track vinyl version of the
album. However, in both cases, CD1 ended up being identical to the
previous Durtro CD editions of each title.

In the case of IN MENSTRUAL NIGHT, CD1 ending up consisting of the
two tracks from that album as well as ‘KillyKillKilly (A Fire Sermon)’
from the NIGHTMARE CULTURE mini-album, which made up the tracks
for the earlier Durtro jewel case version of IN MENSTRUAL NIGHT.

In the case of LIVE AT BAR MALDOROR, CD1 ending up consisting of
the earlier four track version of LIVE AT BAR MALDOROR previously
available as a digipak CD on Durtro, with the two extra tracks being
the two C93 tracks ('Christ's First Howling' and ‘Fields of Rape’)
which appeared on the compilation album From Torture to Conscience.

Rather than send back both titles' mis-pressed CD1s for destruction—which
would both delay your order and be incredibly wasteful of 2000 CDs!—we
have instead kept them in the LIVE AT BAR MALDOROR and IN MENSTRUAL
NIGHT 2CD packages.

So the title that you will receive, until further notice, is this
incorrect edition. We are presently pressing the CORRECT remastered
two track version of CD1 of both these titles. As soon as these
correct pressings are ready, they will be sent out to every mail
order customer who has ordered either of these two titles from Durtro
or Jnana. Thus everyone who has ordered IN MENSTRUAL NIGHT or LIVE
AT BAR MALDOROR by mail order will end up receiving 3 CDs—the 2CD
with incorrect CD1, and then a couple of weeks later the correct
CD1 for each titles.

CD2, the Andrew Liles remix CD, on both LIVE AT BAR MALDOROR and
IN MENSTRUAL NIGHT is absolutely correct. And there are NO problems
with the 2CD DAWN reissue.

We hope you are happy with these instant rarities, which will not
be available in the shops!'

The forthcoming March issue of Gonzo
Circus magazine includes an extensive interview with Andrew
Liles and comes with a compilation disc that includes an exclusive
track recorded especially for the magazine.

Andrew Liles is currently hard at work on several projects with Anok Pe Current 93. Currently in production are ‘Invocation of Hallucinatory Mountain’: part 1 of the new trilogy by Anok Pe Current 93 on Coptic Cat.

INVOCATION OF HALLUCINATORY MOUNTAIN features seven new tracks, and the lineup which has recorded so far is: John Contreras, Baby Dee, Andria Degens, Andrew Liles, Alex Neilson, David Tibet and Keith Wood. We are also waiting for William Breeze, Ossian Brown, Matt Sweeney and Andrew W.K. to finish their work on the album.

‘Invocation of Hallucinatory Mountain’ book/CD

Coptic Cat will also be releasing a beautiful hard-bound book of the 50 verses of David's entire text of INVOCATION. 64 pages long and printed on a heavy, off-white paper with full colour endpapers featuring two new paintings by David of the Hallucinatory Mountains. Book-ribbon, blocked front and back cover and spine. Limited to 333 copies, this is the most exquisite book we have yet produced. Each copy will come with a CD of three or four demo versions of tracks from the album with Tibet's guide vocals. This CD will NOT be available for purchase separately.

We have just added the re-issues of Current 93's seminal Birth-Canal Blues albums NATURE UNVEILED and DOGS BLOOD RISING to the shop.

Both albums have been stripped back to their original format as they were originally released, 2 tracks on NATURE UNVEILED and 5 tracks on DOGS BLOOD RISING. The albums have been beautifully re-mastered by Denis Blackham. Both CDs come with colour booklets containing early photographs of the "group" members and facsimiles of their original insert material.

The first 1000 copies of the albums will come with a bonus CD consisting of Andrew Liles' radical and beautiful remixes of each album. 

These are NOW available in the shop and will be posted out when they arrive in early March.

Om have regretfully had to pull out of the Roadburn/QEH shows that they were playing with Current 93 due to he sudden and unexpected departure of Om's drummer, Chris Hakius, from the group. Al Cisneros of Om and David Tibet of Current 93 are very saddened to announce this, but it was beyond their control

This year and beyond promises to be packed and overflowing with new and interesting projects...

An abundance of vinyl is either going to press as I write or has been planned or slated for release in the coming months including a Wardrobe 7", an Andrew Liles & Fovea Hex 7" in gatefold sleeve, 'Auto Manipulator', 'Anal Aura Gram' with screen printed cover and pressed on lilac vinyl, a deluxe edition of 'An Un World' on coloured double vinyl and in 2009 an elaborate triple L.P box set for Vinyl on Demand.

A recording with Diana Rogerson 'No Birds Do Sing' should be out in the summer, 'Fini!' a recording with Faust's larger than life frontman Jean-Herve Peron is near completion, 'Huffin' Rag Blues' the new Nurse With Wound long player should also be out in the spring... a cascade of remixes, compilation appearances, re-releases and collaborations are recorded and will drip out over the ensuing months.
