Hi Everyone!!
It’s been a while since I’ve written but wow.. life gets soooo busy!!
I hope you’re all ready for Christmas?? I’m not… but I hope you are!
This year has flown by so fast! So much has happened and changed and evolved and blossomed and it’s been a great year all in all!
Guess what?? The Keeper is #17 this week on Country Radio and I’m very happy about that!
Also, look out for the special Winners DVD compilation, as The Keeper music video is part of it! No… I didn’t get any nominations this year for the Golden Guitar awards but apparently they see me as the cream of Australian Country and so asked me to be part!! (Their words, not mine!) It feels very nice to know that it’s not only my parents out there that think that!!
I’ve had a few really special gigs of late that I’m going to tell you about!
Last Thursday night I had a gig at The Rooty Hill RSL.. It was sooo much fun! My band was on fire and the crowd as always were amazing.
In Interval, my lovely friends that come to see me sing almost wherever I am at presented to me a beautiful cake for my birthday the week before that they had made for me. I was so overwhelmed! There are some photos below!
Also, I have just arrived home from Port Macquarie, if you didn’t know, I was born and went to primary school in Port Macquarie and it’s been a while since I’ve been back there to perform.
I was asked to be the special guest at ‘Christmas in the Glasshouse’ (the brand new, multi-million dollar venue!!) One of my first singing teachers, Robyn Ryan put the show on along with a few other lovely people and I was honoured to go back and perform there.
Walking into the theatre was like walking into a recording studio, only HUGE!! Every bit of the room was crafted to perfection, specifically to sound incredible and as a result looks out of this world amazing!!
We played to an amazingly welcoming full house. My grandparents (Prince and Princess) came along with me and we had a lovely time together.
The venue asked if I would go back next year and do my own show!!! I can’t wait!
That’s probably about enough from me! I hope you all have an amazing Christmas surrounded by those you love and that love you. Don’t we all know that there isn’t time in life to waste even a second..
If you’re going to be in Tamworth in January.. I’m doing bits and pieces with my band but the highlight of the festival for me will be doing support for one of my best friends in the whole world, one of the most beautiful girls you’ll ever, ever meet… Dianna Corcoran. It’s Corky’s album launch and her new album is so incredible I get goosebumps thinking about it and how talented she is. (Sorry but I’m vey proud of her..) I really hope you can all make it! The 20th of Jan, West Diggers, 7pm!! Lock it in!!
Take Care,
Aleyce
