MAD LOVE - TONIGHT - RED CARPET

That's right!  It's Matt Stevens' 30th birthday, and we are rockin' it out with a reunion show at the Red Carpet in St.Cloud TONIGHT!!!!!

Hyentyte and Stevens Family are comin' out to celebrate with us - it's gonna be a HOT SHOW!!!!

Doors open at 9, music starts at 10:15. 

It's been a long time since the family's all been together - come out and join the LOVE fest - it shall be MAD!!!!!

LOVE EM

Yea!!!!  Another awesome session last night, layed down many vocal parts for the song Tumbler....It sounds AWESOME!!! Last week we completed vocals for the song Daybreaks, another smash hit from Mad Love, and that sounds absolutely beautiful too!! We are really having a blast putting this recording together, it is so fun watching these songs take form and grow and develop into really amazing recordings....we are really excited to share the final product with everyone, and are getting pretty antsy to rap things up.  Had a blast in the studio with Emily, Nicole, Alyssa, and Matt last night......It is hard work being in the vocal booth and the studio with your intruments...things that you can get away with playing a live show do not slip by in the studio......basically, you have to be perfect, because the microphone doesnt lie.....I am amazed at the talent and ability of everyone in this group, it has really made this project go by very smoothly and has really been an exciting process, seeing everyone's individual ideas and thoughts and writing and singing and playing come together to form one cohesive wall of sound.......you all are really gonna love these tracks!!!  peace

MAD LOVE

Just spent another 11 hours in the studio yesterday with Nicole, Emily, and Alyssa ....was AWESOME!!!! Got all the backup vocals completed for "Byron James" by Marcus Schmid - one of the deepest and most emotional songs i have ever heard (cant wait till y'all hear this!!) , and it felt so great to lay it down, it was really fun working all together, cheering each other on, and feeling the love in the room. For this track, we did a few takes of all of us singing together in one room with 2 mics picking up a live stereo track, and then we all layed down our respective parts in the iso booth, and used a hybrid of all those tracks to produce the back-up tracks, and DAMN we sound good!! The vocal presense in Mad Love really rocks my world, I cant wait to get this EP out to y'all!!!

Vocals are so key, sometimes it can get tough when you are on your 3rd or 4th take, and just havnt hit the money shot yet, but that's when having amazing band mates around during the process really kicks in, we know each other, we know how to coach each other, we know how to tell each other "we're done for today" !! which is what we finally had to do last night at about 9pm after being there since 11am, voices just plain tired out, ya know? We had Michelle Dunkirk come in and lay down some violin on "Tumbler", and we got some really amazing tracks from her, THANKS MICHELLE!!!! All in all, the process has gone amazingly well, beyond what we imagined our first foray into the studio would be...as in, we have gotten a lot more done in the time frames that we are working in than we thought.....stay tuned!!!!
