The 2009 Summer Pick Inn Party & Jesse McReynolds' 80th Birthday Bash is finally here!  Festivities kick off this afternoon at 4:00 PM CST at the Pick Inn in Gallatin, TN.  Music will continue until 9:00 PM and again tomorrow from 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM.  Be certain to stop by to see this year's Virginia Boys Band Reunion, performances by local bluegrass artists, and, of course, Jesse & the Virginia Boys featuring Amanda Lynn.

DIRECTIONS FROM NASHVILLE / I-65:
 
Exit I-65 at EXIT 95 (TN-386 N towards Hendersonville / Gallatin).  Go about 16 miles and you will see TN-109 S.  Turn RIGHT towards Lebanon.  Go about 7 miles until you reach Hartsville Pike (TN-25).  Turn RIGHT on TN-25.  Make another RIGHT on Zieglers Fort Rd. (Following the signs to Bledsoe Creek State Park) and the PICK INN is on the RIGHT side just around the bend.  (The entrance to the Pick Inn is immediately opposite Bledsoe Creek State Park.)

Jesse will spend an evening talking to Eddie Stubbs tonight as part of WSM's popular "An Intimate Evening with Eddie Stubbs" series.  For two hours from the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN, Jesse will share stories about his long career in bluegrass music and discuss his current projects.  Make sure your radio is set to WSM to hear about the last 80 years and what Jesse has planned for the next 80!

In case you haven’t heard, Mr. Mandolin, the "Ironman of Bluegrass", Jesse McReynolds,  has his own radio show that we broadcast live out of our "Pick Inn" right here on our family farm in Gallatin, Tennessee.
 
But... the really BIG news is that our radio station, WHIN 1010AM has taken us worldwide!!! This Monday, and every weekday, from 8 to 9 AM CST, you can hear Jesse’s show on the internet streaming live from the Pick Inn!
 
Jesse remembers how it was in the golden days of radio. The Pick Inn Party Radio Show is built around the way he remembers radio used to be. Live and real!!! Jesse’s more than able co-host is the great Harv Mason. These two share a friendship and camaraderie that is truly wonderful. The show features live music, phone call-ins, guests, our wonderful local sponsors and the commercials Harv does for them that are always spontaneous and heartfelt. The show is filled with more surprises than we can tell you. Why can’t we tell you? Because it’s live!!! The "Pick Inn Party Radio Show" might just as well be called new old-time radio. Hello MySpacers ~ We'd like to thank Billy for creating this myspace site for Jim & Jesse.

Most of you know we were having a bit of a problem with our old guestbook on our official Jim & Jesse website. So this will be a real help to us, both those who enjoyed writing to us, and we, who enjoyed reading all your wonderful comments. It was very sad when we had to close it down due to something sending messages that looked like they contained a virus.

The bad news is that  we were hoping we could incorporate all our old messages from our old guest book into our comments section, but had trouble retrieving them. They may be lost forever. If that is the case, let us just say how much we appreciated each and every one. We were very pleased to read them ALL.

We send out a big thank you to each and every Jim & Jesse fan and we look forward to hearing from you.
