Review by Club Electric:
This is a cd that puts together Mute classics like Warm Leatherette, Yazoo, Fad Gadget, Nitzer Ebb, Laibach, Depeche Mode, DAF, Liaisons Dangereuses and even Diamanda Galas. On the CD there are some very Darkwave sounds. This makes Diamanda Galas easy listening for the hard of hearing, much to my surprise. Depeche Mode tracks work with this gothic ballad sound to photographic. Laibach - So refreshing to hear a female electronic bouncy electronic sound to this, but still have the cutting edge of the original. Fad Gadget: Lady shave - I love this tongue in cheek remake of the lyrics, but it still keeps the meaning of the record, from different view point. Makes a refreshing change on the record decks with classics like Warm Leatherette. 8/10

Active since 1992, Ionic Vision now launches "Bitter Isolation", the follow-up to the "Actual" album. "Bitter Isolation" not only reflects Ionic Visions aural past, the title of the album directly faces critics with the bands current status, feeling quite bitter in their isolated environment. Here's what the band says in its press release: "As advocates of the EBM genre for years, Ionic Vision is currently the only EBM band that never ceased existing in over 16 years, struggling hard to keep the EBM genre alive ever since. In our continuous battle for recognition, we have always been pushed back by critics." The us-version of the album (out via DSBP Records) holds 5 remixes which can not be found on the European version. Below is the complete tracklisting: 01. Insects 02. New breed 03. Trust 04. Sleep 05. Reveal 06. Remembrance 07. Bitter isolation 08. Visions of order 09. Open your eyes 10. Take cover 11. Sleep 12. She Is 13. New Breed - ESR remix 14. New Breed - Encoder remix 15. Die Macht - R010R remix 16. New Breed - club amour remix edit 17. Sleep - insomnia
