Great show last night at the Grant and Green.  Smokin Joe Powell sat in with us on vocals for the first time during the second set.  He rocked the house!
The way this place is set up, people usually come for a set and leave.  Not last night.  The house was packed most of the night and we had a solid core of folks who stuck around and worked the dancefloor till the very end.  Good times all around!

so this is the blog to end all blogs.. I'm going to try and encourage various band members to come here and post, tell a story, ramble on about different experiences and funny scenarios. 

I've been in Swoop Unit for about 3 and half years.   We get together every Tuesday night for rehearsal pretty religiously.  Being a working musician, this is the first project oriented band I've been in for quite some time.  It's very refreshing to be around such positive cats and accomplished musicians.  I've gotten to know the fellas in the band pretty well, and they are all Crazy! in a good way.  I know that we put a lot of care and love into each song in our 80 song set list, and that definitely comes across on each show.  I look forward to writing some tunes for this band and to recording our first full length cd.  Come out to a show sometime!  we have a lot of fun!
