And then the day came,
when the risk
to remain tight
in a bud
was more painful
than the risk
it took
to blossom.

After dreaming about going to Europe for far too long, we've finally been able to arrange a trip!!! ....

....

This July we're off to Amsterdam to chill out for a week in the local smoke shops and water canals..

Then afterwards we're off the city of lights! France for 10 days!!!

....

....

Words cannot sum up how grateful and excited I am about this trip. It's truly a dream come true.

I plan on taking tons of pictures and if you want a post card give me your addy!!....

....

For anyone who's been to either places, any advice on things to do/see would be greatly appreciated! ....

bedankt!! (that's thanks in dutch)

AN ANARCHIST MANIFESTO

by anarchist collective

anarchists seek to maximize freedom for all.
we believe all people should be as free as possible to determine their own destinies and activities within the limits required by a respect for the equal rights of others. this freedom should actual and practical, unhindered by unnecessary legal prohibitions or material constraints.

anarchists are opposed to authority and hierarchy.

all persons must be considered as equals. no-one has the right to coerce or expect obedience from others except where necessary to protect the equal rights of others.

anarchists are opposed to patriarchy.

as a coercive set of social relations based on gender hierarchy, patriarchy oppresses and silences women. patriarchal structures must be destroyed wherever they are recognized.

anarchists are not opposed to organization.

anarchy is about organization. it is about co-operation amongst equals, free of oppressive power relations. we are opposed, however, to types of organization which are based on authority and hierarchy or which involve the unnecessary regimentation and subordination of individuals. we are implacably opposed to the centralization of power.

anarchists believe in the necessity of direct democracy.

where disagreements exist amongst persons which cannot be resolved co-operatively, the will of the majority must be respected. representative and parliamentary democracy are frauds which separate the government from the people. real democracy places power in the hands of the people by making all decisions at the lowest possible level by voting in workplace and community councils.

anarchists seek the destruction of the state.

the state, a government which holds itself to be separate from and above the people, is always an oppressor. we will not be free while the state exists.

anarchists seek an end to private property.

the capitalists' monopoly of the means of production, their control of society's wealth, enslaves us to them. true social equality requires equal access to the means of production.

anarchists believe in the need for a total revolution.

there is no aspect of capitalism, patriarchy and the state, that we can afford to leave intact if we seek to build a world free of oppression. because our goals are radical, involving the total overthrow of the existing order, we cannot hope to accomplish them by reformist means within that order.

anarchists deny the distinction between ends and means.

we will never be able to achieve freedom through authoritarian methods or destroy the state by seizing control of it.

anarchists follow no leaders.

no-one can lead us to take responsibility for our own lives. only we can liberate ourselves. the only "leadership" we recognize is by example.

anarchists believe in a brighter future.

we envisage a future free of oppression, of people living in community and in control of their own lives. we see a society governing itself, making decisions at the lowest possible level and cooperating and organizing together. we believe in a society where economic decisions about production and distribution which affect all of us are made democratically rather than left in the hands of a privileged and unelected few. we will build our own future.

anarchists know that it can work.

we gain strength from the examples of anarchist revolutionaries at the forefront of progressive movements throughout history. we learn from other existing anarchist organizations and from our own experiences as we attempt to put anarchist theory into practice in our own lives.

Today my career life is complete...

My company just presented me with my very own business cards WITH my name on them....jealous much?

Even though they can't provide me the dental benefits I so badly deserve, at least they can treat me with some overpriced office supplies.
YAY!

If anyone wants one, let me know! They double as bookmarks and triple as trash!

Current mood:  pissed off

I was getting ready this morning and the channel was on MTV.  ....

A really bad song came on and I see R Kelly's ugly mug. ....

How is it that this baby grinder still even has a fucking career!? He pissed on and had sex with a 14 year old GIRL!  Apparently, our system allows pedophilia if you know the right people and have a generous bank account.

Shit, you can even get away with a brutal murder. I mean, look at OJ.....Clearly. The glove didn't fit..

Who relates to songs on MTV anyway?? I know I sure as hell can't relate buying diamonds as big as my face and wiping my ass with money. And I really don't care about flossin' and  rollin' on dubs. ....

Fuck the rich. Fuck their hummers. Fuck their diamonds and every last greedy ounce of their being. ....Anybody who aspires to have that many material possessions is never going to understand happiness. All those rappers are over paid and over produced. They don't make music. They just talk shit flaunt their designer jeans.

The more they take and consume, they less others have. And yet it seems people out there are still paying for their music???  I don't get it.  Wake up! Stop worshiping celebrities and start living. Memorize all the edible plants in your neighborhood, read a good book, do something nice for a stranger! Stop letting the damn TV and internet pacify you.

Also, please see this movie:

It'll make you think twice about buying or wearing diamonds. I have 15 channels of so called news and none of them informed me of the conflict over diamonds in Africa that is happening at this very moment. It's horrifying and unjust.

Okay, I'm going back to work now.

Last night, I baked a batch of delicious chocolate chip cookies.

Before I went to bed, I placed them on a plate and in the microwave for safekeeping.

I just woke up from a nap and padded into the kitchen for some sugary goodness. I open the microwave and behold: IT'S EMPTY.

I wander the house looking for a trace of the whereabouts of my delectable morsels.

When I arrive into the computer room, I find Jeff sitting with an empty plate beside him......only crumbs remain on the plate.

My mouth is angry. I was dreaming about those cookies while I was napping.

Hmmmmf.

If I don't know you and you add me without even trying to get to know me first then don't bother. I'm not interested in contributing to the number of friends you're trying to compile. If you would like to 'chat' and you have something of substance to say then I'm open to good conversation. If this sounds brash or rude then that's too bad. I get guys who add me and then I go to their page and this is what I see:

Scorpio503 has 234 friends.

 ?Melyssa Mania?

Gee, that's a really nice collection of girls you've got going on. Thanks but no thanks. I am not going to subject myself to you and your tittie fest. You can jerk off to someone else's face, because I'm not interested in being the obeject of your so called affections.

And thanks to all the little boys who send e-mails like this my way..this one is from a boy whom we'll call "David"

Body: My name is david, and I was just wondering if you wanted to go out on a date that you could probably end up adding to your list of crappy dates for the past month?

Myspace can be really fun and I enjoy the friends that I have. I don't just add people for the sake of a number. So before you add me, please tell me about yourself. You and I both know there are some creepy fools on this thing. I don't want to associate with any more of them..for the time being.

Yesterday, I went to the theater to see the new movie Brokeback Mountain which is based on a short story by E. Annie Proulx. It was by far one of the best films I've seen in a long while. I cannot tell you anymore for fear that I will over summarize the film but I urge you to go out and see it!! It will touch your heart and haunt your thoughts for days.

Also, my 21st birthday is coming up and I've been
counting the days until I finally have true social freedom. I've
planned to take some time off work so I can give this special event the proper attention it deserves!!

For my birthday celebration I would like to receive this man is a tall shiny box:

I believe he lives around the Los Angeles area or something like that. So bring him to me and I will be forever in debt to you. Seriously..

If you're unable to offer me this, than your company would definitely suffice.

I'd love to meet some of my internet buddies and share some laughs over drinks!

Cheers.

Current mood:  drained

Today when I was riding a crowded max train some older guy in his fifties offered me the seat next to him so I thanked him and sat down. Then almost immediately after sitting I could feel his eyes burning through the side of my face. He poked my arm and then rubbed it. I quickly looked at him. He said " Your jacket looks really warm" then he proceeded to ask me if I wanted him to tell me any Brittany Spears jokes. ???  As he was getting off the train he pretended he was losing his balance and practically fell in my lap.

He had the mentality that since he had offered me the seat next to him he was at liberty to touch and ogle over me in any fashion he seemed fit. Eventually, I had to tell him to shut the fuck up and that I was not interested in him or anything he had to say.  I was just being civil. With a bunch of little kids around, I didn't want to push it too far.

This old man is really lucky that he happened to catch me on a day when I could barely function. I would have flipped the hell out on him. But today I had a migraine and 2 hours of sleep and all I wanted was to crash on the max.

I also had some bum sitting behind be who smelled like fart and loudly announced all the stops in Spanish. He insisted on reading all the street signs  aloud despite numerous glares from other passengers.

Sometimes I find these situations amusing, but today I just found it annoying.
