B.S. Entertainment is proud to announce the cast for KODIE their
follow up to SPOILS, the low-budget directorial debut from Abel Berry
and Jennifer Stone.
KODIE (written by ABEL BERRY) tells the story of David (JAYSON
CHAMPION), a paranormal investigator, who has come to a point in his
life where everything he cares about is being ripped away by domestic
turmoil. He soon finds himself and his team caught in a world of an
enraged murderous little girl named Kodie (JENNIFER STONE) in the form
of a teddy bear. Created by a Witch’s (ALAN ROWE KELLY) curse, she
rips, eats, dismembers and lays waste to the abusive hearts of the
town, leaving them in a pool of red chaos and mangled corpses, while
Sheriff Briar (PARRISH RANDALL) does all he can to stop the killing.
Now they must free themselves from the torment of Kodie’s ruthless and
brutal Hell!
Joining Jayson, Jennifer, Alan, and Parrish are ABEL BERRY, RANDALL
MCMILLAN, ANDREA SWEARE, JAY DELAROSA, JAKE STONE, AND JANNA BIGGS in
their return to the screen following their acting debuts in SPOILS.
Filming is set to begin in June with an expected release of KODIE in 2010.

http://www.fangoria.com/home/news/9-film-news/2617-nightmare-star-enters-houses-imago.htmlFango got the scoop from Mel House, the Texas-based director of CLOSET SPACE and the upcoming fright feature WALKING DISTANCE, that NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET sequels star Lisa Wilcox (pictured below) has joined the cast of IMAGO, the latest from his Upstart Filmworks company. “Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a huge fan of the ELM STREET series,” House tells us, “so you can imagine how excited I am to have Lisa be a part of our team.” Wilcox (pictured), who toplined the fourth and fifth Freddy flicks, joins a cast also including WALKING DISTANCE castmates Natali Jones, Omar Adam, Sean Brison, Melanie Donihoo, Eryn Brooke and Danielle Jones, plus Parrish Randall from such Lone Star State fear fare as THE QUICK AND THE UNDEAD and THE FLESH KEEPER. “DREAM MASTER and DREAM CHILD are pretty much branded on my psyche,” continues House, who wrote IMAGO with director Christopher Warren and will produce. “I’m especially stoked to see Lisa sink her teeth into the role of Christine, which will allow her to play on both the sympathetic and antagonistic sides of the fence.” In IMAGO, Jones plays Jennifer, a woman who’s trying to track down her missing brother and harbors some dark secrets of her own. She ultimately finds that there’s an otherworldly presence behind her sibling’s disappearance. Wilcox’s Christine is Jennifer’s aunt, who “is there to lend her support,” House says, “but she’s also keeping a watchful eye trained on Jenn…because there have been some, let’s say, ‘issues’ with Jenn’s grasp on reality in the past. Of course, things go horribly wrong in a terribly weird way, as is the case with our movies.”
Creating this weirdness will be Marcus Koch of Oddtopsy FX, who contributed to both SPACE and DISTANCE as well as the upcoming Texas bloodbath SWEATSHOP and Herschell Gordon Lewis’ GRIM FAIRY TALE. “I can’t wait to see what crazy, sick and twisted things Marcus has to throw at this film,” Warren says. “Marcus has a gift for taking anything you throw his way, and turning it into something even more horrific than you imagined!”
Warren, making his feature debut after several short films and set work on DISTANCE, begins lensing IMAGO August 1 in the Houston, TX area. Keep your eyes here for updates, and also on the movie’s MySpace page and Facebook page; an official website will open soon here. You can meet House and some of his DISTANCE cast at the New York Fango Weekend of Horrors, running June 5-7.

Hey friends!
There are a lot of really cool things going on right now in my professional life.
First, my good friends Andrew and Dione Rose have started a management company, DOA Management to help us independents with many of those things that are often only available to the NY and LA S.A.G. talent. They have a really cool concept in entertainment management that you can learn more about at http://www.doamanagement.com. I have signed with them and am looking forward to helping them build their management company as they help me build my career.
DOA Management has re-launched my web-site. You can find it at http://www.parrishrandall.com. You can find my film resume, my demo reel, and updates on my projects there now as well as links to my MySpace, YouTube, and IMDB presences. In the near future, DOA Management will add photographs of me whether they be headshots, film stills, or just shots of me having a good time on-set or at conventions with fellow fans of independent cinema.
I am blessed as an actor to have been cast in some really kickass roles in some super awesome films shooting in 2009. I am humbled and honored by the number of independent directors and producers who have contacted me recently to discuss casting me in their films. I cannot discuss all of them at this time, but I promise to update all of you, my friends, as soon as the official announcements are made and I can talk more.
I have been cast in the lead role of Brother William for Horrorphile Entertainment's production of Jeremy Sumrall's POSSUM WALK, a nasty little horror story set against the backdrop of small town living in Texas. We shot the footage necessary to cut a trailer for Texas Frightmare Weekend 2009, which was well received and all the buzz throughout the weekend. We are finishing up location scouting and other such necessary pre-production tasks and will begin principal filming in the coming days.
Speaking of Texas Frightmare Weekend 2009, while there I was honored to have been part of Joe Francis' TEXAS FRIGHTMARE MASSACRE. I was cast to play myself at a convention, but in a particularly rude and conceited manner. The story Joe Francis has written is just good campy fun horror! The cast and crew of TEXAS FRIGHTMARE MASSACRE pulled off quite the feat in shooting quality footage at the TFW convention.
I have also been cast as Sheriff Briar in Jennifer Stone's and Abel Berry's next film, KODIE. These two young filmmakers are the sick minds behind the nasty little horror-revenge-slasher film, SPOILS, which I was lucky to have a small cameo appearance in. SPOILS is available at amazon.com and I hope all of you pick up a copy of this film. This couple are on their way to becoming great filmmakers and I am honored to being working for them in their next nasty slasher film featuring a unique and innovative killer character, again serving as testament to the spirit of independent horror!
I have also signed to appear in Anthony Brownrigg's next feature THE 8. I am under a non-disclosure agreement, so I can really say little more than I have been cast and more will be coming in the near future. Anthony Brownrigg, as you may remember, is the incredibly talented writer, director, actor behind the 2008 horror comedy breakout hit RED VICTORIA, which is a film that I recommend all to see. It, too, is available on amazon.com.
There are some other deals in the works and I'll be updating you all here as will my management at the offiical Parrish Randall web-site.
Finally, Andrew Rose, Maegan Brownrigg, Amanda Carver, and I have partnered to create the Texas Blood Bath Film Festival 2009. Brooke 'Ms Vampy' Lewis and I will serve as mistress and master of ceremonies. I am particularly excited to be part of a project that will allow indie horror directors all over the US and world to submit their films to be shown to a large number of indie cinema fanatics, such as myself, over a three day period in November (13 through 15). You can find all the latest and greatest news at the web-site http://www.texasbloodbath.com.
In closing, I hope all of you will listen Sunday nights to HorrorMovieFans.com Indie Horror Radio, hosted by me and produced by my manager and friend Andrew at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/hmfradio from 7:00 pm to 8:30 PM (central) to me interviewing the up and coming indie cinema talent and the legends of indie cinema. All the latest news on that show are found here on MySpace at http://www.myspace.com/hmindie.
Yes, 2009 promises to be a good a year for Parrish Randall and to that I say "HELL YEAH! IT'S TIME TO SPREAD THE RED FOLKS!" Go out this week and buy and/or rent an independent horror film and support the filmmakers! It's only through your support can the independent filmmakers continue to bring you films designed to horrify and terrify, while entertaining, you - the indepdendent fan of horror!

Okay fans of the sadistic rape, torture and murder film genre...we just wrapped a really warped little baddie called "Slaughter House". Thanks to some really good folks are in order for allowing themselves to be put through celluloid HELL for the sake of creating horror on film. My thanks go out to...
Brandi St. John Getz, Kathy, Shannon Roberts, Brandy Eastman, Bobbie Casto, Shannon Casto, Michelle Henderson, Kathern Goza, Jessica, Teresa Little, Burt, Vincent Casto, Joe Bourgeoius, Rikk Eastman, Josette Collins and her husband Kelley.
Special thanks to Loyd Cryer for coming out and playing the Sheriff in 101 degree heat.
Shooting took place at the Trinity Institute where 1973's "Don't Look In The Basement" as well as "The Quick and the Undead" was shot. Great location...in the fall or winter! We selected the hottest days of the year to film...but we survived.
The feature is "Last House On The Left" meets "The Desperate Hours", as four thugs escape prison then enter a 'safehouse' for abused women and take them hostage. What ensues thereafter is total pandemonium and violence. If you're a fan of the 1970's rape and revenge genre you will like it.
Thanks again to everyone who really kicked ass to pull this one off! When your cast's philosophy is that bruises fade but film lives on forever, you know that you have some damned good troopers to work with!
Thanks also to Kathy for her awesome Texas Barbeque! She kicks ass in my film and cooked a helluva Saturday nite meal for all of us!
Once again I have to say that, thanks to all of the above mentioned folks, Texas film-making rocks!

"Texas Road Kill" at Texas Frightmare Weekend 2007
Hey fellow lovers of the blood drenched macabre. This past week has been quite exciting for "TRK" in that the trailer hit the net and I was invited to interview with none other than Texas horror Kingpin Loyd Cryer on the Texas Frightmare Weekend podcast. The trailer has been received well for what it is, my homage to the days of "drive-in genre" horror! I set out to make the type of film that I loved seeing as a youth at the old Joy Drive-In in whacko Waco, Texas! Totally politically incorrect subject matter, over the top violence and gallons of gore. Hell yeah, I made a movie that I would pay to see. I became fed up with the "mainstream" horror that the big guys had been giving us, so I found myself watching more and more made for DVD indies by filmmakers that have the balls to do horror justice over the last few years! No big names needed, just guts, grit, blood and the courage to go for the throat like Craven did back in the day with "Last House on the Left" or Sean Cunningham with the original "Friday The 13th". These were two of many films that rocked and redefined horror, because the filmmakers cast caution to the wind and shot pure shock horror! Yeah, they pissed the critics off. No, Siskel and Ebert did not like them. The fans of the genre however embraced the new, in your face ultra violent horror films of the '70s and early '80s. Since critics only review films while fans PAY to see them, I figure it should be the fans whose opinions matter! Finally, the independent filmmakers are doing it again. Taking back horror. Fans of horror films creating horror films to share with other fans! Not for the cash, but for the passion of making the film. If the cash comes because the fans like your work then that is sweet icing on a bloody cake! There are many indie filmmakers whose work you need to watch for over the next few months including Josh Vargus' film "Sway", Stacy Davidson's "Necrophobia", Mel House's "Closet Space" and a little nasty from Gerald Nott that I appear in called "The Flesh Keeper"...oh yeah, and "Texas Road Kill". Check these out if you are a fan of true horror. If you prefer the lesser, diluted melodramatic "horror" that you have been seeing for the last 10 years, then I am certain that in no time there will be another PG-13 ghost chasing Sarah Michelle Gellar up and down stairwells in some slickly made super wide-screen epic playing at the local multiplex! Not that I do not love Sarah Michelle Gellar, mind you, I'd just love to see her doing harder horror...like maybe a good in your face, blood splattered hack and slash epic! Oh well, onward to the interview with TFW's Loyd Cryer. First interviewed was Sid Haig, exploitation/horror icon followed by yours truly talking up "Texas Road Kill", "The Quick and the Undead" and "The Flesh Keeper". We also discussed the reassurgance of the "drive-in genre" films and Adrienne Barbeau (our best topic!). Thanks to Loyd and Noel for the chance to talk horror! This is the great thing about the guys behind the TFW convention, they are also fans of real horror and they provide all lovers of the same with one helluva three day party where all the fans of sick, twisted cinema can gather! There's something to be said for being amongst your own kind...so do not miss this event! Join us at The Texas Frightmare Weekend on June 22, 23, and 24 in Dallas, Texas. For all the details go to www.texasfrightmareweekend.com. If you love horror you'll never forget the experience! You'll also see many screenings of some of the films that I mentioned above there and many others as well, along with an amazing host of horror film luminaries! So don't miss it! Okay, I guess that's enough for now. Until the next blog...
Best Wishes and Worst Nightmares,
Parrish Randall

Well, as "Texas Road Kill" is still going through the paces of post production, we at PRP are about to move into pre-production on our next feature entitled "Until Death"...a more Hitchcockian storyline with several plot twists and turns as well as enough gore to please any gorehound! This film is about infidelity, love, betrayal, and one person's desire to have the perfect romance...at any cost! We have several great headshots and will be contacting folks for auditions at some point in the near future...we look forward to seeing and meeting all of you! Texas film rocks! Speaking of Texas, I have been invited to the Governor's Inaugural Ball...and I am very honored, as well as excited, to attend! Imagine, old "Blythe Remington" dancing the night away in the Lone Star State...thank for the invitation and again, I am honored! In the meantime, if you are in the San Jose, California area this coming weekend, check out the rest of the Nott Entertainment gang at the Fangoria convention! I would have loved to have been there as well, however other commitments wouldn't allow me to be there this time...but I will see you guys at the next convention though...I guarantee it! To all traveling to the convention, stop by the Nott Entertainment booth, say hello to Jerry, Clint, John, and more folks from "Q&U" and "The Flesh Keeper" and pick up some really great stuff...from T-shirts to DVDs! You won't regret it! Best Wishes and worst nightmares!- Parrish Randall

Well, "Texas Road Kill" wrapped principle photography last week. Now it is time for post production. This has been a helluva week...in a helluva good way. Gerald Nott's "The Quick and the Undead" saw it's North American DVD release and it has been quite exciting. Lots of folks have purchased the film within Texas and my home county...and to all I say thanks! If I haven't already signed your copy and you want it signed, I'll be at several video stores in the area promoting and supporting the film over the next several days so I hope to see you at one of the locations! Additionally, look for the entire "The Quick and the Undead" bunch at the Texas Frightmare Weekend event this June, 2007. We'll be there with new horrors to unleash...one of which is "The Flesh Keeper", no doubt one of the most relentlessly terrifying films to come along in years! If you are a fan of films that put you, the viewer, through terror filled hell from beginning to end then this the one is for you! The other will be "Texas Road Kill", my Texas company's second completed feature which is an equal blend of "Deliverance", "Friday the 13th", and "Wrong Turn". The backwoods of Texas "ain't no place for city folks", as one of the characters in the film states to one unsuspecting traveler. The plot line of "Texas Road Kill" drives that point home over the bodies of several unsuspecting "outsiders"! The shooting ocurred over several weekends literally 'in the backwoods' of Texas. We bounced from shooting in 90 degree heat to shooting in 32 degree cold. My team, the cast and crew, were all troopers. No complaints, even as one by one the inevitable sticky, cold F/X blood/gore make-up found it's way onto the faces and bodies of each! There will be a trailer forthcoming on this site soon, with the film's own site launching over the next few weeks. For now there are a few pics posted with more to follow. Now...what's next...?

Okay, so here is my first blog. It is only a little more than a week until Hollywood and the world premiere of "The Quick and the Undead" at Manns. My flight is booked and I am ready. Thanks to Gerald Nott and Clint Glenn, one helluva dream of mine is coming true on October 21st and I am forever grateful! My thanks as well to all who made "The Quick and the Undead" a blood soaked reality for all to see. What a wild ride it has been. Next..."The Flesh Keeper"! It was no less than a kickass time teaming once again with Gerald directing while Clint, Erin, Dion, John, Toar, Arriane, Morgan, Peyton, Jimmy, Stacy, Mel, Greg, and yours truly created what will be one of the most violent, sadistic, blood splattered films in the history of cinema! My kind of film entertainment! It is "Last House on the Left" meets "Wrong Turn" while colliding with "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"! This intensely terrifying epic was shot in my home county of Limestone...deep in the heart of Texas! Thanks to all the local folks who helped make this motion picture possible as well. Special thanks to "Valfreya"...better known as 'THE FAN" whose smile lights up an entire film set for making the necklace that psycho Jones wears in the film and just for being herself as well...love to you Valfreya, Hamilton's Fried Chicken for the tremendous lunches, Bobbie and Vincent Casto for one of film's scariest set locations ever including, but not limited to, live Copperheads(just ask Peyton), Bobbie Casto and Gloria Minchew for their support and the cigs, Mrs. Jace Floyd and Jace Floyd Jr., Harry Johnson, Chuck and BJ Wyatt, Freddie Ruth and Brian McCann for the best "wrap luncheon" in film history, Dr. Parker, David and Shannon Roberts, Ed Brown, Donald and Mincy Dockery, Joy Wright, Dennis Wilson, Jimmy Stuart and Louis Ferguson of Parkview Regional Hospital. Special thanks to my lovely wife Teresa for living with and loving me while I play psychos in films that turn our private schedules into a real life living nightmares! Again I say, it takes a special person to love an actor, as we are at best a different breed! Thanks as well to John Reynolds, without whom there could never have been this killer kickass film...in a few months the world of horror fans will owe you big time for giving them this one! Spring 2007...:"The Flesh Keeper" is unleashed and the world will never be the same!!!
