We're gonna have a hell of a time!

When? Friday 14th of August 2009 at The Palais Theatre, St Kilda.

Its my 45th Anniversary-in-music celebration concert but, since my mate Joe Camilleri already used that one for HIS May 9th sold out show, I'm calling mine '5 Decades Of Cool' - that's right, from the Sixties to the Noughties, a hell of a time.

What a journey. From my first single with The Pink Finks in 1965 to The Party Machine, Sons Of The Vegetal Mother, blitzing the 70s with Daddy Cool, producing Skyhooks, forming Mighty Kong, hits in the 80s with Mondo Rock, writing for other dudes & tripping the solo fantastic from the 90s til now. To help me cover the distance there'll be cool guests aplenty from all 5 decades. Got a lotta songs to sing & some rockin' fully licenced musos to back me up. Along the way there'll be all the essentials you want, but some surprise detours as well.

As loyal fans of mine I want to offer you the chance to buy tickets FIRST before they go on sale to the general public. Tickets are $85.00 (transaction fees may apply) and included in that ticket price is a copy of the Hell Of A Time CD. This album is exclusive to the '5 Decades Of Cool' concert punters & is a compilation of personally selected primo solo tracks of mine, including some previously unreleased gems; & the brand new title track is a taste from my forthcoming US recorded album.

To enable you to purchase tickets I have set up a special presale online link so from 9am, Friday 19th June go to www.ticketmaster.com.au and search 'Ross Wilson' then use password BOSS and you be able to purchase tickets until 5pm, Friday 26th June. Ross Wilson's new album 'Tributary' includes startling new arrangements of his Daddy Cool classics 'Eagle Rock', 'Bom Bom', 'Come Back Again', 'Hi Honey Ho', 'Boy You're Paranoid' & 'Zoop Bop Gold Cadillac' along many other semi-acoustic reinventions of songs from his 40 year career catalogue. Its part of the Liberation Blue Acoustic Series. Find out more at www.rosswilson.com.au

Daddy Cool hates getting up early (we're night people) but why should we when 'Sunrise ' on Ch7 do it for us? They've been playing our bopster 'The Christmas Bug' as a lead in to the breaks.  Go Kochy Go!

'The Christmas Bug' is on 'The New Cool' album and has also been added to live365.com internet radio station ChristmasRadio.com - they play Christmas music all year! And as a single at iTunes.  Not many sleeps to go.

On the eve of their first national tour in over thirty years, Daddy Cool guitarist Ross Hannaford has been robbed of his most valuable possessions, his musical instruments.

In what appears to be a random joy ride robbery, Ross' 1989 white Toyota Hi Ace van QRN 479 was stolen from the Melbourne suburb of Yarraville in the early hours of Sunday morning with all Ross' gear concealed under a tarp in the back.

Stolen along with the van were:

- Chandler 555 Guitar - customised and hand painted in Red Yellow and Green sunray design.
- Ampeg Jet II amplifier.
- Rare 5 watt Diason amplifier.
- Home made amplifier in Diason Cabinet with Peavey 158 Blazer head and Marantz 12" speaker.
- Green and yellow Indian "hippy" bag with Boss Phrase Sampler, MXR phase 90 and Tremit Tremolo pedal.

All of these instruments are unique and irreplaceable, so musicians around Australia, keep an eye out for them. If you see or hear anything please contact the Police or Mark Sydow Management @ www.marksydow.com

With songs like "California Girls", "Good Vibrations', "Wouldn't It Be Nice", "Surfin' USA", "Kokomo", "Help Me Rhonda", "Barbara Ann" and countless others, The Beach Boys are one of the most influential and successful bands in pop history.

The iconic Californian band are on their way to Australia for what promises to be an extra special November national tour.

The tour's special guests are the mighty Daddy Cool, the original line-up reforming for their first concert tour in 33 years(!). Plus the multi-Grammy award-winning performer Christopher Cross. How's that for a fantastic triple bill!!

The Beach Boys, headed by singer Mike Love, will be playing all the classic hits that so perfectly epitomized the Californian lifestyle and propelled them to sales of more than 100 million albums, 32 American Platinum and Gold awards, induction into the Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Fame and the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys, to name just a few of their many staggering achievements.
Most recently the band's new 'Warmth Of The Sun' (EMI) album debuted Top 40 on the U.S Billboard chart (June 2007). Hand-selected and sequenced by The Beach Boys themselves, the new set's 28 tracks include six classics mixed in stereo for the first time.
The Beach Boys continue to play an astoundingly busy schedule of concerts. Their unique harmonies and extraordinary body of hits has created a timeless musical legacy that continues to thrill audiences all over the globe.

In many ways the mighty Daddy Cool – Ross Wilson, Ross Hannaford, Gary Young and Wayne Duncan - helped define Australian music as the Beach Boys did in the U.S.

Their vibrant mix of blues, doo wop and crazy retro rock evidenced in their debut single 'Eagle Rock' and debut album 'Daddy Who? Daddy Cool' rewrote the record books. After their 2nd album 'Sex, Dope & Rock & Roll:Teenage Heaven' and three U.S tours, they called it quits playing an emotional farewell in August 1972, which spawned the magnificent double live album 'The Last Drive-In Movie'.

The 2005 Tsunami Disaster Concert at Melbourne's Myer Music Bowl prompted a reformation with amazing reviews resulting. The live footage led to the five-hour DVD 'The Complete Daddy Cool' (Aztec), followed up last year with a hugely popular induction into the ARIA Hall Of Fame and a brand new DC album 'The New Cool' (Liberation).

This will be their first national tour in 33 years – and they are ready to rock!

The concerts will kick off in fine style with the multi-Grammy award-winning performer Christopher Cross. 'Arthur's Theme', 'Sailing' and 'Ride Like The Wind' are among the magical songs that have earned Christopher nearly 10 million record sales, 5 Grammy's, 1 Oscar and 4 US 1 hits.

With 8 fine albums to his credit, Cross continues to write and perform sophisticated songs of pop perfection. It will be his second visit to Australia.

The Beach Boys, Daddy Cool and Christopher Cross – three incredible artists in one unforgettable concert! Concert dates are:
