My grandmother was a spinner and a knitter. Was because she can't see so well now. She has her house where several years ago she had about 30 ships. The process of shaving ships, sinning yarn and knitting socks never ended--she has 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and now 2 greatgrandchildren. I can proudly say that I saw it all!!! And I am the only one from all this family who is knitting.

I'm wearing her socks constantly! (Even that second)

I have a really long and sad story about KNITTING socks. I tried it 3 times and every time they came up as a disaster.

When I started to crochet, I figured out that I can crochet them easier than to knit. It was. But the result was not really satisfying. I download a pattern from the Internet from some kind of unprofessional crocheter, and IT (that yellow thing on photos) was not really round.

Today I remembered that I have the sock yarn in my closet stash (YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) that was left for a year or so from the trying to make a dress (or was it a skirt?). Stupid designer made a pattern for a skirt from the sock yarn!!! (!!!!!) I don't know how about you, but I don't want to spend all my life for crocheting ONE skirt!

Today I started to make a sock from a decent magazine pattern FOR SOCKS. I'm not sure that it will be finished in this year. I think, the day that I make a REAL sock (not socks), will be the end of the world!!!!

P.S. This is a reminder to do a complete revise of my yarn stash or I don't remember what I have.

There is a very interesting dress pattern in the crochet magazine that I brought from Buenos Aires ("Crochet"). It is interesting, however, that the same crochet dress is in "Total Crochet Fashions" book by desigber Gayle Bunn (the yarn is differnt). This book was published in January 2006, while the magazine in autumm 2006. A theft!

I ordered the book, so details will be later
