The competition is won by whoever has the greatest number of fans AND plays combined. We've got the plays, all we need now is the support of our fans! So if you haven't yet, please follow the link and help us out by registering as a fan. It only takes a minute and who knows, you might discover some other fresh talent while you're at it! x

Current mood:  determined

Friends, fans, stalkers, or whoever you are.

If you're reading this blog then there is no
reason not to go on the link below to the
'Road To V' website and show your support for
us by becoming a fan and giving us loads of
track plays.

The competition is based on how popular
you are with fans on the site, so with your
help we could be opening the festival come
August which would be insane.

There's a lot happening this week that we thought all you happy fans should know about, so welcome to the first ever Hillside Blog!

First off, we've just been comfirmed as the main support act for Imperial Leisure at Ride Cafe this Thursday! I know it's pretty short notice but put on your drinking hats and party faces and head to North Hill, this band are not to be missed. See for yourself at www.myspace.com/imperialleisure - I think it's £4.50 on the door, plus the usual drinks deals!

We're also doing our own show at The Jazz Cafe on the Barbican this Wednesday, starting at around 10. Mike Mathieson will be playing an acoustic set, no doubt including a load of the classic Mad Dog tunes that you all know and love, then we're on from midnight. We've been busy writing new songs recently which we'll be showcasing this Wednesday, so come down and check it out and see what the new management have done with the place.

Also new this week: our new EP 'The Good Times Are Killing Me' is now downloadable from iTunes for only £3.16 (or 79p per track). A hard copy - professionally designed and produced at DMS - can also be purchased from our Myspace page for only £3 (+ P&P)! For more information contact hillsideheroes@googlemail.com!

At the moment we're trying to book up some shows further afield, starting with Exeter and Bristol and working up the country. If you can think of somewhere that you'd like to see us play then get in touch and let us know and we'll see what we can do.

Lastly, thanks to all you people that continue to come to all of our gigs and show your support, without you we'd probably still be sitting around at Maker drinking tea and talking shit.

Much love,

Tom and the Hillsides
