Hello folks. 

Recently Aubrey and I had the chance to sing some tunes in historic Hyde Studios C here in San Francisco. It was captured by a crew of very terrific fellas for their Monthly podcast "Chasing The Moon". Big warm thanks to all of the kind folks involved. IT turned out quite pretty.

Hello folkses.

Blake here. At the moment I am with the other TaughtMe folks in Offenbach Germany. We've just received poor news that tonight's show in the Netherlands has been cancelled. I confess without happiness that we have endured many such setbacks while singing throughout Europe and another missed show just pinches us hard again. Though we've collected piles of terrific memories and have shared sounds with kind ears, this tour hasn't been very kind to our wallets.

Tomorrow is our final show and the day next we pay the bills we've amassed. (ugh...) Today we sit nervously and count our coins.

Over the next 48 hours we are hoping to rally some dollars from friends and supporters. We hope to cover the cost of our WAY-TOO-BIG-AND-LONG van as well as our equipment rentals.

Our dear friends at OWN records have announced the release of "Lady". They are taking orders for those of you in Europe. The US release is forthcoming via Kilby records. It should be available very very soon. I hope everyone finds use for this collection of songs. I did my best with what I had in me and around me... I think.

Hello all,


Late late late Last night we (TaughtMe) returned to our newest hometown after performing three shows between vast stretches of desert driving. We played twice in Utah and once in Denver, Colorado. For two of these shows we were blessed to be the opening act for the ever-radiant LOW. Speaking for myself, this was an extraordinarily intimidating afffair. I have been an ardent admirer/lover of the band for about a decade and the situation found bees and butterflies colliding within me. Nevertheless, the shows went well and we return happier than we left. We prepared some T-shirts to sell at these shows and have plenty left over. You can buy them by clicking the T-shirt image below.

In other encouraging news, The Italian Music Magazine "Rockerilla" reviewed "Lady" and interviewed us for their upcoming issue. I'm happy that they enjoyed the disk. Check it out to the right>>. It is encouraging to start receiving some press for the album.

Hello All.



I have recently re-pressed my 2nd album "Arms As Traps". It will cost $7 for a limited time. I am hoping to earn some extra cash to pay for some of the costs of "Lady".


Perhaps you do not yet own this album but would enjoy having it arrive in your mailbox. Or maybe you already have it but would enjoy placing it into the hands of a friend as a gift. Or maybe you have had "Arms As Traps" on your IPOD for a long time and would now like to become an honest man or woman by paying me for it. In turn, you will then own the fancy artwork and case and lyric sheet that comes along with it. Also, I've just had an idea! For anyone who wants to GIFT their pals with "Arms As Traps", you could purchase it and instruct me where to send it. You could also ask me to include a note or drawing of some kind with the package. Maybe it would say "Hi there friend! I love you and want you to have this here album." or "Hey woogit, this album is yours now." I could write notes in there for you.

Hello all.

blake here. I thought that I would type up a few words, sketch some faint outlines of my current whereabouts. I have completed the long expected move from my home in Utah to California's North Bay regions. I am being held and hugged by the earth here and also by several terrific friends. The life that begins for me feels appropriate and I am excited to face its results headlong.

I am living with 4 of my best friends. We have begun an apparel company/creative collective called Zerofriends. Currently most of our work centers on the artwork of Alex Pardee. its fantastic. I'd encourage anyone unfamiliar with his craft to visit our online webstore at zerofriends.com. The collective will be working on some TaughtMe music videos beforelong, so be on the lookout for that.

Before long you will find TaughtMe items available in that store. I am working on repressing "Arms as Traps" and, of course, am still struggling to complete "Lady". Both of those albums will be available for purchase in the Zerofriends store beforelong. Not to mention some neat T shirts and whatnots.

I would like to apologize loudly to those of you who have tried to reach me on MYspace and have not heard from me. I have been aloof lately and displaced. Ill work on being more available. be patient with me, k?

I am overjoyed to spread the word about an album which is tremendously beautiful and magic to hungry ears. It is called "Pink and Yellow" and is a project by my friends which they call "LoveDigit". It has been my good fortune to not only share friendship with Yoni and Amy Gileadi, but to also be inspired for many years by their individual talents and artistry. "LoveDigit" is a project that finds their tastes and skills merging in splendid union.

ps. my new Album "Lady" is so so so close to completion. Yoni is helping me pull together loose ends this week and it shall then be sealed. For any of you who werent aware, Luxembourg's OWN Records is releasing it in Europe this year and we'll be travelling overseas to promote ti soon soon.
