I am very pleased to announce that i will be performing at the Kitty Cat Klub in Minneapolis on October 11th! Sharing the bill with be my friends Bella Koshka! If you are into old 4AD stuff or moody, yet elegant pop music, by all means listen to them already!

A third act will be announced to round out the evening.

I will be performing several selections from the PRECURSOR album as well as a few brand new tunes i've been writing over the last few months! Looking over the amount of work i've gotten done in the last few months, it is conceivable that a follow-up EP or LP could be in the works soon!

Dissociate - Precursor

Dissociate is the electronic project of Minneapolis native Jonathan Ford. One thing I remembered to keep in mind while listening to this new release is that although each track is structurally pre-planned it is still entirely constructed of improvisational looping sequences and live keys. Precursor is an easy listen from the beginning. It portrays and provides instrumental electronica in waves of passionate rhythm with cold and dark synthetic melodies. At times it is also a bit more up-beat with twists of aggressive noise that sure to wet the audible palate of experimental lovers and beyond. Overall I really enjoyed this album and admit I don't have much like it in my collection. In my opinion, this is a versatile sound that can easily win the hearts of experimental and electronica music fans as well as gain the respect from those who understand the complexities of producing an entire album based solely on experimental and improvisational looping sequences without getting boring or too chaotic. It's worth the download; find it on itunes.
