Children are very very special. I love my boys very very much. The are my world. One of mine got sick and we went to the docs and they got tested and now we wait for the results. arg....
witting seems to be the hard part.
i know my child is fine.  deep down to my very soul. but there is a spec of dust that seems to be clouding my focus  as to why he may not be well. this is the doubt that the er doc put into my life. a fear based worry. one that the other doc said not to even consider or to worry about. why do they do this? one tell you one thing and another tells you something else. nothing is conclusive untill we complete all of the test to find out the correct diagnosis.
my child is fine nothing is wrong.  why worry right? i will love him no matter what they outcome is. he is still my beautiful healthy strong happy child.
that is all a parent really wants for their child is to be healthy, to be happy and to be strong. live a long life , love someone unconditionally and let them love you unconditionally and enjoy laughter and create wonderful memories.

As an artist. It is all about creation!!!

The hardest part for most people is the blank page. Where to begin. Will I be judged? What will other people think of my art work? I can't Draw.

For children it is easy for them to do almost anything. Ask any kindergärtner can you draw? and most likely their answer is yes and what do you want me to draw for you?  Ask if they can sing? And they belt out the latest pop star song and dance combo. Ask them if they can pretend to be a dog and they get on all fours and bark...

Why is it then when they get to be around 10 it is childish and most tend not to do the above? Why is it when they become adults they say they can not draw, or sing, or get up in front of people and even speak in public.

To be an artist is to be a risk taker. To get out in front of others and preform. To draw, to paint , to make mistakes. To show others how easy it can be to create.

As an artist you are able to make something from nothing. You are able to use your imagination and get get paid for it. Actors do it all the time in the movies. Albert Einstein said that imagination is more important than knowledge. Pablo Picasso said that we are all born artist it is our job to remain artist when we grow up.

Why are so many people afraid?

I supported my artist friends last night at a wonderful show in Dallas. They were out in front of people creating art. Networking with people who were at the show. Selling their work and most importantly enjoying the moment.

We need to support the arts and the Creators that live among us.We need to go to art shows from Craft Fairs to Galleries to Museums. There is a paradigm shift that is happening. This is part of the forward movement. Artist are able to create something from nothing. If we support the artist we can make a difference today and tomorrow.

March 1st 2009 I will have a Solo Art Show at the Goodrich Gallery in Dallas. The Pure Creativity Collection- New works of Abstract Art, and a few favorites.The artist recption will begin at 12 and go till 2pm. The Pure Creativity Melissa Ayr art show will continue throughout the month of March closing on March 31st, 2009.

 I paint large oil on canvas. Add a bit of color to your room with one of my original art works. Paintings will be available for purchase at the Pure Creativity Melissa Ayr solo art show. Commisons are always accepeted on line at  www.melissaart.com

After you attend the artist reception you can then go directly across the street to  the Dallas Museum of Art and see The King Tut Exhibit. Two for one what a deal.

The holidaze is a crazy time of year wher you are racing around, picking up gifts for the kids teachers, coworkers, bosses, girl frineds, husbands... ect. I have come up with the correct spelling HOLIDAZE! for what I feel I go through durring this warm waonderful season.

I had two back to back Art Shows last weekend. One in Grapevine from 10-4 and the other from 5-8 in Keller. This weekend I will be in Frisco. Gallery hoping is fun. One show here one show there, you get busy going places showing up and selling. Doing comission peices are great because you work one on one with the artist. As a client you pay half upfront and you get to tell someone who is talented and creative what you are looking for- what you want. The colors the size, the subject matter. You pay for the peice of Art work that was created just for you. It is personal and intamate. As an artist you and your cleint build a relationship. They are ow your art buyer and you are their artist. They refer you to their frineds by word of mouth and by displaying your art for all to see. The best compliment an artist can get is a referal which turns into more work. Artist Create!!!,  showup, network, socialize, smile, and most importantly sell sell sell...

 A Man by the name of Bill purchased my art at the Grapevine show this past weekend. Very handsome gray haired gentalman with magnificent baby blue eyes. His daughter went to Stanford.  I teased him by saying that since Berekeley, where I went, and Standford are fierce competors with Football.  That BEARS eat CARDNIALS all of the time...  He laughed  and he purchased my art, because I made him smile.
