.:SOA:. Sons of Abraham have been spending some time in the carpet-coated garage of late jamming and writing new material and experimenting with different recording/writing techniques. We like to invest a lot of time into song writing and experimentation and this avenue has been paying off for us recently as we love our new material and have been getting some great audience feedback at recent shows. We have always tried to base what we do around our live performance, so over the next few months we’ll be playing more new songs live as a part of the ongoing writing process. We are looking forward to sharing the stage with some of Melbourne’s best bands at ‘Here and Now’ (December 5th at the Noise Bar) and its awesome to be able to perform new original music as part of a great local music scene with an ever growing audience base.

On Saturday 4th April, Sons Of Abraham once again have the opportunity to play with one of our favourite bands --BUSHIDO-- along with two other great local acts E37 and My Secret Circus. This promises to be a GIG-tastic night of heavy Melbourne rock, prog and metal.... so it would be great to see you there early as we kick off the night at 8.30. www.myspace.com/sonsofabrahamband Ding Dong Lounge, LEVEL 1/18 MARKET LANE, CHINATOWN - MELBOURNE
BUSHIDO
"Since the release of the MERCINA ep in June 2006 (distributed nationally through MGM), BUSHIDO have been busy touring the EP across the East and West coasts, playing festivals such as the PYRAMID ROCK FESTIVAL, as well as supporting the likes of KARNIVOOL, SEBASTIAN BACH (Skid Row),..and MAMMAL. In June 2007, The lads burst into a mammoth line-up of Australian music for Sydney's COME TOGETHER FESTIVAL proving, once again, their rightful place in the scene. In June and July, the lads toured the East Coast with KARNIVOOL and then in August and September, hit the road again with DEAD LETTER CIRCUS. Their most recent East Coast run saw them sharing gear, a bus, and stages, supported by powerful up-comers, SLEEP PARADE. After a well needed, all be it, short break, BUSHIDO Is back on the live circuit performing new material for punters, that will feature on the forthcoming BUSHIDO Album. Don't miss this next run of shows as the lads plan to disappear some time in 09 to begin recording their first full length record!!!! Supported by MY SECRET CIRCUS, ENGINE THREE SEVEN, SONS OF ABRAHAM. " www.myspace.com/bushidomusic TICKETS www.dingdong.oztix.com.au $12+bf & on the door from 8pm if still available...

- Saturday March 21st - Sons of Abraham on at 7pmAll proceeds to go to: The Salvation Army, The Alfred Burns Unit and Wildlife Victoriawww.myspace.com/fireaid2009 "Australians are renowned for looking after their mates, defending their turf and pulling together in times of need. Tragedy unites those from all walks of life... Old, young, black, white, metal head, drum n bass DJ... This has been proven even more so since Black Saturday and no-one has been left untouched, directly or otherwise, by the news of the bushfires that have affected thousands of Victorians since that horrific day... Out of the ashes of this tragedy have risen a group of music soldiers hell bent on producing an event so diverse yet so united in its entirety, that will prove that no matter what you are about, what music you listen to, what shoes you wear, that when you combine brilliant minds from all walks of life, you can create a collaboration so amazing, that nothing will stand in their way. That event in the making is called 'FIRE AID 2009' and will consist of musicians and music lovers, guitar players and vinyl spinners unlike ever before. With VJ's, Dj's, bands and burlesque, nothing will be left to the imagination. Our objective is to bring a day of entertainment raising funds for the Bush Fire Survivors surpassed by no-one and filled with our heart and soul. With the determination of this small but mighty music army, we will rise above the tragedy as only Australians can and show the community that no matter what happens, united we stand! So whether you love to raise the metal horns or dance to your house music du jour, FIRE AID 2009 will not disappoint and attempt to raise an amazing amount of money for those struck down by tragedy but revitalised by the Australian Spirit..
