Or build your own Knotty Boy

via email while the lucky receiver gets a box full of goodies, wrapped up in a
starry cello bag, ribbon and a beautiful Knotty gift tag “from you” with your
personal message on it.
NOTE: Holiday shipping cut-off deadlines: All US
and International Christmas gift orders must
be placed before December 1st in order to be delivered before Dec.
25th. Canada,
you’ve got a few extra days to spare but the longer you wait, the greater risk
you run of not receiving it in time.

Hope some of these ideas
help take the ‘dread’ out of your holiday shopping, making the whole thing a

Knotty
Wintery Pigtail Pilot Hats are back – limited time only!....
Could these be more RAD? A
custom-made winter hat exclusively for lock-havers and so cute we could scream.
Along with ‘cute’ we also definitely include ‘hot on guys’, we especially want
to see these on our nappy boys. Side openings provide ventilation and
poke-out-ability for your locks while the wooly 100%-recycled sweater fabric
keeps you cozy. Braided toggles allow the hat to be tied snug in place or hang
loose for that Nepalese Sherpa look. Machine-washable and durable, these are an
excellent solution for winter chills and waning hotness (see above ‘hot on guys’
comment). ONLY FOR WINTER, pick them up now while we've got 'em!
Don’t forget to check out all
the rest of our brilliant winter toppers for your nappy lid here. http://www.knottyboy.com/shop/dread_hats/

UPDATE May 28, 2009 Hello Knotty friends! We're so excited to announce that our $5 for Charity birthday event yesterday was a huge success, far exceeding our expectations thanks to all you lovely people that came out and helped out! Our three superstar stylists did 40 fantastic haircuts in a mere 7.5 hours, with a lineup of five people deep at the door and turning away many toward the end of the day. With all donations counted, a combined total of $713 was raised through $5 haircuts, $5 products and cash donations to the cause. The Neighborhood Houses of Greater Vancouver will be accepting this donation and have already honored Knotty Boy with Sponsorship status at their upcoming 25th Good Neighbor Awards Celebration in November. wee!
This event was so successful we've decided to make it a yearly Knotty Boy Lock Shop birthday event, so if you missed out this year, be sure to stay tuned for our next one... perhaps with celebrity stylist appearances, you ask? Who knows?
Lots of love to you all!

.............................. Greetings my Knotty friends! It is none other than I, Captain Brunhilda, taking a break from slaying pesky Krakkens and burying the knotty treasure to let you know about our good-doings for the year!
As you may or may not be aware, we here at Knotty Boy like to give back as much as possible and donate a large portion of our annual profits to our favourite charities - 10% to be exact! For 2008, we recently donated to the following worthy causes:
International - Chernobyl Children’s Project International who assist and house children who are victims of our world’s worst nuclear disaster. If you want to see why we chose CCPI to contribute to them, watch this video – you will understand why they need help so desperately. *hands you a tissue*
Positively Africa is a small non-profit lead by couple Peter Bardon and Peggy Frank. Peggy has been living with HIV for over 20 years with the help of anti-..retroviral drugs and has not communicated the disease between them. Positively Africa leads by example and helps to build partnerships that enable those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa to live with hope and dignity, working with the most vulnerable - orphans, disabled children, youth and adults with compromised health - and supporting emerging African groups that are not yet part of the mainstream. to learn more:
Local - l Again, British Columbia Children’s Hospita , nothing more heartbreaking than sick little ones, and more than a few of our own friends' and family's children have spent time in this excellent facility. BC Children’s Hospital is the only pediatric health centre and teaching hospital in BC, and the largest full-service child health centre in ....Canada...., providing expert care for more than 72,000 children every year. Many of the specialized pediatric services at Children's are not available anywhere else in the province.
http://www. thekettle. ca/ provides support and services to those living with mental illness in Vancouver, right around the corner from the Knotty Boy Salon.
Abreast in a Boat A non-profit organization started by group of ....Vancouver.... women with breast cancer. These brave women train and take part in Dragon Boat races to raise awareness of the illness and send a message of hope to other cancer-..sufferers that they, too, can lead full, active lives despite the physical limitations imposed by this disease. So wonderful!!
Pacific Northwest Puppy Rescue This organization is dedicated to giving homes to sad puppies who need love, and where our very own Knotty stylist Kris http://www. knottyboy. com/about/#kris met her favourite puppy-..gentleman friend Jack Burton! Daw, puppies.
And now, the Knotty Boy Charity Focus for the month of March will be raising funds for our local South Vancouver Neighbourhood House. This place in an amazing facility, providing free services, programs, special events and help to everyone from infants to the elderly of the local community, including computer training, legal assistance, youth movie nights, ESL and cultural integration classes, help with homework, day care, advocacy programs... you name it, they do it! Knotty Boy be donating 100% of the proceeds from the sale of pre-made Clip-In Synth Dreads (Lock Shop exclusive) to this worthy cause for the bargain minimum donation of $5 each. Should you fancy adding a splash of colour to your locks AND doing a little good for the world as well, please bring your knotty self down to the Knotty Boy Lock Shop , we'd love to say hi!
Now, feeling all warm and full of the fuzzies, I shall leave you, my Knotty friends…. until next time...

Hello there and Happy New Year, me knotty hearties! It is none other than I, Captain Brunhilda, forever slaying pesky tax deductions and swinging my sword in the direction of all things accounting-related, here to fling you a message in a bottle from the good ship Knotty and let you know what we’ve all been up to.
Knotty Boy 10th Birthday Basheroo! As you may or may not be aware, November 2008 saw Knotty Boy turning 10 years young - something we simply couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you Knotty kids, so give yourselves a big hearty slap on the back for us! We threw a party of celebration in December where staff members old and new joined with suppliers, well-wishers and so many of those who have helped Knotty Boy grow over the years.
There was singing (specifically, scream-singing to ‘New York, New York’, ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ and ‘Hey Jude’, but this is to be expected whenever a karaoke machine is present, of course - a Knotty favorite), dancing, pinata-smashing (another Knotty favorite!), gorging ourselves on exquisite Latino cuisine and much rowdy fun had by all into the wee hours of the morning. Oh parties, we love ‘em. Maybe a little too much.
Exclusive Knotty MySpace/Facebook Family FREEBIE! OK, so even though our party was a private celebration of 10 years of sheer Knottiness, we'd now like to include YOU in kicking our 11th year off right (the biggest and best to come, we can just feel it...). To further extend to you, our Family, our great big ‘thanks!’ for your continued love and loyalty, and in honor of the coming Springtime and Spring-cleanings we all are bound to do... with the purchase of one of our already-deeply-discounted Knotty Boy Maintenance Kits for New or Mature Locks, we will throw in a FREE pack of our popular Knot-Tea Scalp & Lock Tonic !

It'll be one of our choice but don't worry, they're all SUPER wonderful for stimulating scalps and refreshing locks!
To claim with purchase of a Maintenance Kit, simply paste the following phrase into the COMMENTS area of your Knotty order form: 'Good day, Sir Michael-of-the-Knotty-Warehouse. As per the eZiner-exclusive offer, I’ve purchased my Maintenance Kit and would be chuffed to have a spot of Knot-Tea if you’d be so kind! Cheers, mate! '
Until we meet again, my knotty friends - and a very Happy Van Halentines Day to you all! *‘panama!’*

Yar indeedy, the season of givin' and gettin' is certainly upon us. If you're in the Knotty Boy Lock Shop 'hood and would like to help, we and the community would be extremely grateful for any donations of non-perishable food items and toiletries you'd like to drop off with us. You can also make a cash donation for a tax-deductible receipt and for $5 min. donation receive a easy-to-attach/remove/reuse Synthetic Dread Clip-In in your choice of holiday colours! If you've got any time on your hands these days, organizations everywhere desperately need your time AND your hands. Lending a helping hand certainly helps take the focus off all our own troubles and gives us perspective, not to mention makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Warm fuzzies, warm fuzzies! Err..
